Derricke, you raise the bar for what a father should be. I strive everyday to be a great dad and you sir are an outstanding dad. Keep it up you are doing great!
Little man, you are blessed to have a dad,not just a father, who takes time to be such a part of your life.Job stress, family, and God knows folks can not put phones down for 2 seconds to actually parent.Papa bear, you knock the ball into the field a few towns over.Great job!
1st , i didnt realize he had this channel. 2nd, He was really good on camera! He has watched pop do his thing for videos but it is so different when its you on camera talking, and he did great. Im biased because of who dad is and im a fan but take all that away and he seemed really comfy talking and explaining whats going on.
Great job Bentley. Also awesome for Derek to put the time into this with his son. He is a busy guy and to record a video and edit it for his boy is amazing. Total respect and another reason he is my favorite guy on UA-cam.
What a good kid. Not a bad bone in his body. You both must be so proud of the young man he’s becoming. He’s also quickly turning into a natural entertainer, just like his dad. I chuckle every time I hear him say, “Get some!” 🤣
Cool seeing kids work on their own toys, he's gonna catch on fast the more time he spends in the garage with dad! That's how I learned! Best memories come from time spent with dad working on something.
Nice job! I enjoy watching the younger generation actually doing something!! I know of grown men who can't even use a ratchet strap. Keep on learning dude!
Been watching for a few years now and this is my first time commenting on any video VVG, VGL or now LGG and I have to say not only is the content great but watching Dad, the boys and Jessica interact is so refreshingly positive. I even have my 74 year old mom watching and she lets me know when "the nice Fella and his family" posts a new video. You provide a great get away from the stresses of life! Thank you!
Welcome to the comment section. Keep the comments coming. It's lot's fun to contribute to the dialogue, and UA-cam promotes videos that get likes and comments.
Bently, Your channel is excellent for all those other young men who want to learn how to work on their motorcycles and go-carts. Job well done!! Your channel is a big hit! Keep them coming as often as you can. We look forward to learning more from you.
Heck yeah, I was proud that he knew how to use the ratchet strap. I've seen too many grown men not know how to use them and either wad up all the strap in the ratchet or put it together all wrong. Great job Derek and Bentley!
I can't love this enough. I lost my dad when I was young and let me say, Derek and Jessica, you guys are amazing parents. Great video. Can't wait to see more!!!
Dereck and Bentley: (Like the crane and the car?) On the cart you can still use the kill switch. Ground one side of the switch and run the other wire to the end of the plug. When on it grounds the mag. Without the switch if you get thrown off it want plow up your neighbors flowers 💐 You can get a mini differential for the axle so it will turn both directions. It also sounds like the float is bouncing cutting off the liquid make it happener. I have motorcycles racing carts and lawnmowers and use either racing chain oil or silicone spray. WD40 is for door hinges !! 😁 Also don’t recommend pushing the oil bottle seal down in the filler neck as a piece may go in the oil pan!! Like your videos!!👍🏻
Brantley is really going to be the next good mechanic in your family, he’s very intelligent and I knew that he was always helping you! He looks so much like Jessica, y’all did a great job raising your kids and are some awesome parents! I’m subscribed to Brantley’s channel now and ready to see more! Thanks for sharing Brantley! 👌🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
Heart warming to see such a bond between Father and Son, a worthy subscription along with the main VGG and Lodge channels. Keep up the good work folks!
Bentley you did awesome buddy let's get him up to 1 million subscribers because college is expensive lol ... Great job Jessica and Derek he speaks better on camera than most adults .❤️
You guys are doing such a good job with your son, and his thirst for mechanical knowledge! What a wonderful time for him! Brought back memories with my Dad, and I am now 67 years young! Keep up The Great Job!!
Love seeing kids interested and learning a skill they can use for the rest of their lives. He will never forget these experiences with his dad. Great job Derek!!
Man this brings back a lot of memories. My son started the dirt bike adventure when he was about that age. It took us all over the country racing and taught him some amazing life lessons. He’s 28 now and has an 8 month old of his own. Remember sitting back watching him work on his mini bikes and jumping in to help out when things got tough. Good job Dad.
Bentley, this was awesome to see! Firstly, how well you presented the video and said all the right good stuff as the job went on. Mechanicing so well and taking instruction perfectly. Then firing it up and catching the idle like an old pro! Then ripping and gripping the bike like a champ, I'm super impressed. Riding bikes first like you can too... makes us way better drivers. We learn things that are harder to teach later in life. Balance and weighting the controls with body position, how to control slides front and back, being more aware of our surroundings, looking further ahead, spotting both trouble earlier and better grip areas. It makes you confident, safer and... FASTER and smoother. I ride crazy big fast superbikes and maintain them and modify them and race prep some, I used to be a mechanic on jets. You've honestly completely impressed the heck outta me young fella. Keep up the really great work kiddo, you will go very far in this game if you keep practicing and learning and hold on to your brilliant attitude! I would have let you help wrench on the jets. There are bits that are tricky to get to and you would have been mega handy for a hundred jobs already! Youdda been welcome in my crew for sure Bentley!
Young fella I'm so glad you made this video because I have been wanting to replace my rear tire on my dirtbike for a long time. Now after watching your video I feel confident enough to get out there and do it. Thank you for helping me learn how to do this.
Great job Bentley! You're definitely an inspiration to the younger generation. I hope more kids (old & young) watch your channel. Kudos to Derek and Jessica for raising your kids right. We need more parents like this.
Watch out, Derek. You got competition! Subscribed... Bentley, Great video. Brings me back in time to see you and dad fixing stuff. Remembering one particular time we did the same thing you're doing here. Don't ask me how but I managed to pry the tire on over dad's fingers. And I mean ALL of them! Good thing he was stuck on the tire screaming so I got a head start. He didn't want to help me for a while after that... Dunno why really. It was an accident, and only the third that week...
Not bad kid. Wish i knew how to do all that when i was your age. Shout out to your pops for helping a feller maintain his rig. Keep up the good work buddy.
When you are dealing with these small wheels and tires with tubes, it is a good idea (As you realized I see) to check your rim strip for cracks or for running out of the channel. No harm in making another one out of a bad tube or with tape if necessary! Sometimes when the tube is tough to seat with the tire if you use a teaspoon of baby powder in the tire and let it run through the tire carcass before you install a slightly inflated tube, it will help everything slip together easier!
Bentley this is so great to see your interaction with you and your Dad. I used to help my son with his bike as well. It caused me to shed a tear whilst watching this as he has passed away and this vidio reminded me of a very happy time. Keep up the great work. Great work Derick
I'll be Dipped, little guy has got his own channel, didn't even know, you go for it kid good on ya! And Derek, your an awesome dad for helping him out, nice one!
Great job Bentley and thanks to Derek to lend the helping hands! I just found this channel and subscribed as fast as I could, I never had the opportunity to do anything like this growing up!!

Windex works wonders for slipping on those tires. My first bike was a early 60s Honda 90 dream and I was 10. After 56 years later I’m still riding. You did a great job Bentley

Good tips, he was making me nervous ripping it past that flat bed trailer sticking out the inside of that turn. I had friends that did the MX when we were kids and they had all that gear you mentioned. It was cool knowing some of you dudes that had KX-60's and YZ-80's and 125's and Odysseys and Ski-Doo's man!
Heck yeah! Maintenance! I vaguely remember disassembly of a few vehicles when I was your age, and it was a great deal of importance I attached to these projects. I also remember fishing nuts out of the green shag carpet in our basement. Good thing you had a nice workspace!
Why do I have the feeling we're looking at the next Jeremy McGrath?!! I still remember all the times I had with my Dad working on pretty much everything. I love this dudes. God Bless you all
“We haven’t changed the oil since we got it probably like 3-4 years ago” man you know that’s Derek’s kid!! Well done guys, love it! Even puts the diesel oil in the dirt bike hahaha 👌
When we had to change the tire on my sons 2002 750 Shadow it was nearly the identical procedure to the one you used. And like you he changed the oil, and he also put on a new chain and sprocket. He didn’t wash his because he thinks a “rat” bike needs to have a rough kind of look to it. Your helper and you sure seem to have what it takes to get the job done.
Awesome job Bentley! Take it from an ooold mechanic, keep that oil changed with plenty of dinosaurs and vitamins and that little Honda will be around for your son to ride!

I bet he's got a whole bag of tricks he learned from mom and dad!

I didnt either. I know VGG and the Lodge channel but are there any other grip channels we need to know about?
I just found this too. Heck yeah.
I'm 54 and I want to know as much about mechanics as this Little Dude when I grow up.
