I enjoyed the 1986 TV show myself. But the novel is the true Canon. And WuKong never try to look for his old master. But of course Black Myth Wukong is not based on Journey to the west book. It's based on the legend of WuKong book. So I don't know what exactly happened in this book. Since there is no English version. All I know is that the monk and Budda make a bet that WuKong can escape the cycle ofreincarnation, aka escape out of Budda's hand. ✋ I do look forward to reading this novel since a fan project to translate it is in progress. 😀 since game studio based their last game on this novel as well as this awesome game. I remember seeing the old Chinese game back around 2012, but never could figure out how to play it. Asura or something it was called. Kinda sad how Chinese people refuse to let other countries enteract with their stuff. I wanted to download the QQ app but they wouldn't let me. As well as bilibili with their 100 questions to comment. 😢 I couldn't even join caimogu. I was hoping to be able to download the unpaking tool to make my own voice mod. I wanted to make a English Dub mod Kinda like the awesome Dasheng voice V3.0 mod. But no one over here is doing such awesome things. Anyway sorry for my rambling 😅
