right out of the box mine ran for 3 minutes then shut off. Thinking I turned it off by accident, I turned it back on. Ran for 10 seconds then shut off again. Turned it off Ran for seconds then turned off again. :(
I bought one of these but it only lasted around 6 months before the battery stopped working. And you can't replace the battery. Either they have a faulty design or built-in obsolescence (maybe both) and are designed to be disposable rather than repairable. I would encourage people to steer well clear of this device, because it's positively damaging - to your bank balance and the environment.
Just been given one of these. 10 minutes runtime and 4 hours charging is a joke, the charger is only 150mah output so that'll be why. I get why I was given it now, because its crap!
It's a decent little vacuum but you have to let it fully charge if you want enough time to just bust the whole house when the light goes out you're good to go but it's not going to last indefinitely half an hour max recharge
My black and decker vacuum keeps turning off. I bought my at Walmart brand new and it powers off on its own after 1 min of use. I charge it and still happening. Any suggestion?
The suction on mine completely stopped working after second use. I looked up reviews online and most of the complaints were about the suction. I'm guessing there is some kind of design flaw that messes with it. I tried to take it out and put it back in but the seal won't open up all the way while it is on. Have you had any issues with this?
I had the same problem I removed the grey cover from the paper filter and it had a ball of hair and dust between it and the filter. Removed the ball, vacuumed the filter and the suction came back.
I just bought this... its difficult to use... no battery indication... start with full power but immediately sucking power get slow due to paper blockage in-front of air out area... over all not worth-full previous model was good
I have one. It does not get between the seats of my car. It's to narrow in between the seats. I use a long narrow brush to loosen the dirt. It"s not worth $ 70 what I paid for.
Thank you ❤ Black and Decker customer support sent me to your video because after cleaning mine and letting it dry I forgot which way the filter was supposed to go in lol.
For a casual car vacuum job, in between or even instead of a proper one, it's enough. It looks pretty, feels solid, and it whirrs loud enough. But it's no substitute for a similarly priced corded unit
Tom how well do you think that Dust Buster vacuum will vacuum dust off of hardwood furniture? And it only runs 10 minutes off of a full battery charge? I'm looking for a really good small portable handheld cordless rechargeable vacuum to vacuum dust off of my hardwood furniture and hard surface furniture around my home rather than doing all that wiping of dust off of the furniture. What do you recommend thanks so much
Hi Maria, this vacuum cleaner is great for cleaning dust if you use the flip up brush. The limitation is the 10 mins battery life but if you're only dusting your furniture you might complete it in 10 mins anyway. Perhaps try timing yourself dusting by wiping first to see if you complete within 10 mins.
@@TomsTechReviews -- Hi Tom, thanks so much for responding. I can't see how using a brush part would work, though. I tend to think a brush would only push the dust around. How well do you think it would suck dust off the furniture up into the vacuum, without using the flip up brush part? I'm looking for a hand held vacuum, cordless, rechargeable, that's really powerful, to really clean off dust off all hard wood furniture and hard surfaced furniture in my home. What is the best vacuum you recommend for that? I also do not want something with hoses. Been looking around, so would appreciate your best recommendation. Thanks so much! Maria
@@Maria-wp8yl The brush part should enable a smoother contact with the furniture, disturb the dust more and therefore suck up more dust. Unfortunately I can't recommend a best vacuum specifically for dusting at the moment but I will bear your comments in mind for a future review. Thanks for your feedback

Did you charge it for the full 16 hours it recommends the first time using it?
I just unboxed mine, it's charging as we speak.

Battery is crap, ..Good Video
Thanks, I agree with you that with high power usage products such as portable vacuum cleaners the battery life can be a bit limited.
Mine doesn’t suck anything up.
Yeah this product sucks..
And not in a good way
Have you tried using it plugged to its charger in case you need a bit longer than ten minutes of power?
People usually buy a vacuum for carpets would’ve been helpful if you got carpet shots…
Dont buy this! it only run for 1 min.
This is a nice vacuum. Only problem, stuff gets stuck in the extendable nozzle. You need a bread tie or tie wrap to fish stuck partials out. 😻

Thanks for saying there’s no indicator of “fully charged” … blue light is on no matter what.
You’re welcome

It's a piece of crap, just runs a few minutes. Black & Decker from most of us nothing you make is good!
I came here to see how to slide back the nozzle, thank you for the tip, so I don't pinch my hand! :)
Happy to help!

How long does it take to recharge
I had just received my vacuum and the crevice tool got stuck after I extended it. Thank you so much for showing how to push it back😅

No indication when fully charged 😡..that should be standard..B and D have really went downhill
I agree with you on that one
Thanks for the tip on washing the filter.
My pleasure
Minimum charging time is 16 hours for a full charge not 4 hours
Thanks for your feedback but In my tests it only took only 4 hours to get a full charge and the maximum operating time of 10mins.
4-5 hours only

When the blue light is on (not flashing) does it mean it's charging? and how do I know when it's fully charged?

Probably needs charging.

When unboxing and plug charger does the indicator turns on ? I just got one and doesn't looks it is charging no indicator lights
Unfortunately three is no indication when it’s charging.

Does it run while on charging at the same time?

It will pick up crumbs from dog biscuits just fine. I still use mine whenever some crumbs etc need clearing up.
