Bjorling fu une delle 5 migliori tenori dell' opera mio amico...la sua voce c'era fantastiche non lo dico io...lo hanno detto un'altri grandi come Pavarotti. Corelli..

You don't know what you are talking about. Corelli had a powerful voice but lacked emotion or passion, still a great voice but don't ring my bell at all.. my opinion not everyone else's.

Jussi and lanza were great friends. They used to get drunk together many times. They had admired each other voices and both were in owo of each other. Let me tell you a little story. Jussi daughter asked her father if she could go to the cinema to watch the great caruso. So jussi took her and jussi was blown away. This is when they both become friends

I think you are right about Mario Lanza. For too long the so-called opera literati disdained him because he was an actor in movies. Recently those who claim to know now claim that he is the best, after Caruso. That sounds about right.

Sono d'accordo con chi reputa la voce di Jussi la più bella e più tecnicamente valida, grande, chiaramente non adatta a tutto l'arco lirico, sicuramente unica nel genere romantico e melodico, poi dopo di Lui gli altri,
ancora oggi troppo poco osannato. Io che canto e anche se nono sono uno studioso penso che sia stato
il più grande di tutti, anche se è pur vero che Caruso non è valutabile per le testimonianze che ci sono.

O Sueco Yussi Bjorling para mim, o maior tenor de todos entre outras grandes vozes.
Ele não está entre os gritoes com til no o. Normalmente como Gigli, José Mujica usa em torno de apenas 30 por cento do potencial. Por isso mestres no pianissimo.

Para mi Lanza ha sido el mejor de todos los tiempos, después de Caruso, por su inconfundible dicción poderosa, su poderío y alcance sin par, su pasión inigualable al cantar, su vida trágica llena de contrastes e incomprensiones. Un gigante, en suma.

Im sorry, but to include Mario Lanza with Bjorling, probably the most perfect singer to ever draw a breath, is absurd.
Sorry, perfekt singing doesn’t automatically ,the voice more beautiful. The great Lanza had the perfekt voice.
With me, listening to Bjorling works like this - I really admire his singing, but when he stops I can't remember what he sounds like. Lanza had a really beautiful and distinctive voice, unmistakeable.
Bjorling called Lanza the American Caruso! And Lanza called him the Swedish Caruso !
