Not to mention that your solution worked perfectly, in adddition to that, you voice is amazing & the way it attracts the listeners is the main reason I will subscribe you & watch your other videos too, if they helps.
Steam and Origin have the functionality to move games. Uplay you can just copy the game folder elsewhere and have it locate/verify the game in that elsewhere. Shit even the Bethesda launcher can locate/verify the moved game folder. Its embarrassing that EGL still makes this so cumbersome.
I dont know if they changed it, but it doesnt work when renaming the folder since if you do rename it, it says Repair and you cant do anything from that point. Here is the way I did it: Copy the game files anywhere, uninstall the original ones through epic games launcher, download it, pause, stop, delete the downloaded files, copy the ones you first copied to where its downloading, resume, done
Well everything went smooth and was verifying. Once the verify finished, It started re-downloading 40gb.. Game was installed 100%. Now I gotta wait 2 days for the download as my internet speed barely gets to 10mbps, sick !
thanks bro worked like a charm.. Put it simply 1.When you wish to shut down system keep download running and just do system shutdown 2.To resume again start epic laucher while offline Connect to internet and sign in again Go to library and resume the download!!

Follow each step in the video and you'll find success.
To be honest I was doing it for Fortnite and then I looked at my library and just thought to myself self "FRIK IT" im just gonna redownload every single game. #IHateLife
Thanx for the tutorial, this saves me a whole day's download man!!
after uninstalling it, now it says "repair" instead of install
same here
Same dude
Exit the epic games launcher from the windows task tray and open it again
@@nevetsCS2 doesnt work
restart you PC. it worked for me.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have been trying to figure out how to choose Fortnite's download location for forever now, and finally I can play again!
doesnt work, just says repair
edit: had to close and reopen epic launcher to fix it
4:48 if you don’t see resume even after doing the steps before, you can close epic games from task manager and open back up. Then it should be there.
I did the exact thing but did not work for me. Still shows that I'm downloading files again. When I went back to the folder where the files are, the size went down to the file size of the file being downloaded and not the files that I copied.
Did you really di the sam thing as in the video step by step because it worked for me
Same here, after its finished verifying, its starts download again and the file size shrunk down
@@khaidirm5820 Same here.
@@TheGamingAaron same
@@TheGamingAaron any solutions ?
For the People where it says INSTALL instead of Resume at 4:45, just click on it so it "INSTALLS" and then after a few seconds it should verify the Files, the same way as in the Video!
Mine says repair I can't even delete the game that I want to move to other ssd any one help please?
create an empty file with the original file name and the empty file will be uninstalled :)
Zenchai thanks i had the same issue!
@@zenchai9147 i have done it but it won't delete
same problem. any solution?
thanks i messed it up the first time but i think i got it the second, very helpful
Tried this with Detroit Become Human, It deleted my files and started to downloading. FFFFFUU.... okay
Thanks dude, Had to re install windows on the day of a new season and i can play it when it drops because of you
tf did you do? lmaoo
When i click remove on the epic games launcher, it says repair, instead of it uninstalling.
@Mohamed Amine Chahbar yo tysm ur a livesaver!
Thanks man !
It is very confusing beacuse you already did the steps and you are imaging that these drives etc am confuse !!!!!
Basically to simply put it he just copied the game over to his new hard drive and renamed the folder to fortnite1 or anything, start the download in epic games, pause, click X to make sure it's asking to resume, delete everything inside the NEW fortnite folder and just move your game folder (fortnite1) inside and change it to just fortnite and click resume.
After it will just verify the files and then you're ready to play
thank you for making this video it really saved me from wasting internet and time
Nope don’t do it it dosent work
which mic you use?? i kinda love the quality. its sounds epic
no pun intended
after i rename the game in epic launcher shows "repair" and when i uninstall it doesnt happen, just goes gray for a moment and then shows "repair" again. help ;-;
You know why it says repair? Because the god damn launcher is self-aware, that's why! The whole fucking thing needs repairing! I mean honestly, verifying existing files is basic shit! Even Origin can do that! Unbelievable...
Tried this with Borderlands3 and it didnt want to work. Had to forgo the step where you close the Epic Games Launcher because when i'd open it backup it would go back to "install." Worked though, thanks brother.
Did it really work , cause its GTA 5!
did you transfer gta 5 game files from steam to epic?
@@ardiankk2949 same question
I'm gonna try it today, I will notify you if this works :D
.
Did it workk??
This was so helpful you earned a sub
Yeah, didn't work. When I clicked resume it just started installing regularly. Please don't waste your time with this video. PISSED OFF.
Ur just a noob
@@JoeRoganZhorts TRUE
When i tried this i now need to repair it as they call it, some error code IS-0009. I have it installed but i changed the name and it got wierd and this happened
You know it's gonna work when you don't hear an indian accent
You are the best, thanks a lot G.
Why the heck you have such a sexy voice? It has to be an AI, it HAS to be one
worked! thanks man really helpful still works in 2021!
Honestly, you should have just kept fortnite uninstalled.
i think that you re the only one who with easy to folow steps you just say the truth thanks a lot
Thanks man you helped me a lot!
Not to mention that your solution worked perfectly, in adddition to that, you voice is amazing & the way it attracts the listeners is the main reason I will subscribe you & watch your other videos too, if they helps.
It didn't work and now I have to download it again won't see your videos again
Great video still works perfectly today. Crazy that they don't have a function for that built in.
Love the "Slightly confusing steps" My guy I felt like a 70 yr old man
Steam and Origin have the functionality to move games. Uplay you can just copy the game folder elsewhere and have it locate/verify the game in that elsewhere. Shit even the Bethesda launcher can locate/verify the moved game folder. Its embarrassing that EGL still makes this so cumbersome.
So happy it worked.. Thank you!
Awesome explanation, thanks dude!
Tried it and it didn't work.
Well everything went smooth and was verifying. Once the verify finished, It started re-downloading 40gb.. Game was installed 100%. Now I gotta wait 2 days for the download as my internet speed barely gets to 10mbps, sick !
thanks bro worked like a charm..
Put it simply
1.When you wish to shut down system keep download running and just do system shutdown
2.To resume again start epic laucher while offline
Connect to internet and sign in again
Go to library and resume the download!!
