I bought a 1 TB external Hard drive awhile ago and this is the only video I found that clearly explained how to set it up.
Who did you buy and how’s it going?
I bought a 2 TB, and whenever I transfer my games, they refuse to run, whether it is steam game or not.
Can anyone help???
@@davidsiwale8503are ur games bought or pirated? If bought then maybe it has to do something with the launcher of the games not being within the games disk or sumn like that? Are they pirated or bought
@weak2297 Both pirated and steam games don't work. I found out that the cable was the problem and the write speeed itself is low.

For anyone that came across this well structured video just outdated with steam under the settings there’s a corresponding tab that says Contents it will allow you to do the same thing, but if not a little easier and simpler

I couldn't find the "Contents Libraries File Path" mentioned in the video and i also couldn't find the "Contents" tab mentioned in your comment. I'm very lost, confused and frustrated.

I'll subscribe if reply...i used to have lots fps on Vanguard now it's at 60-80 maybe because of all the games i got in pC drive also i can't download anymore games I need an external forsure but what is better to play off of ?

Thank you , thank you, thank you my main man. I recently sold my PS five because I got a steam deck and I’m an Xbox fan who has the XS. There are only a handful of exclusives that I wanted to play on PlayStation that steam offer so it only made sense to me to use the steam platform to play those PlayStation games as well as PC games. I updated the ram in my laptop and quickly realized that the SSD inside my laptop was insufficient. I went and got a 5 TB HDD Drive for 119 bucks at Best Buy and utilizing the information that you gave in this very quick concise infotainment video. I am so happy to report. I now have tons of room for all the games that I want to put on my laptop and take with me anywhere I go. Thank you so much please continue with great videos like this.

This really helped I just got a 1tb flash drive to carry more games and tried to download some stuff but it wouldn’t worked until you showed me
I just got a new external hard drive, and couldn’t figure out how to download files to it. This video was so useful
You might have been able to download to your PC/laptop then drag and drop to the external drive. This was useful, though, I agree, in being able to avoid that step.
Spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to get it to show up, this guys a legend

Hello, could you please give me some advice for the following:
I have 2 desktop PC's, one is bigger case and the other a more compact one. The big one has windows 7 while the smaller one has windows 10. The big one has a hdd storage while the smaller one has ssd. So, I'm trying to replace the bigger ones motherboard with the smaller ones more upgraded motherboard with the ssd (with windows 10), but still keep the hdd (with windows 7 still installed) and connect it to the motherboard as a secondary storage. Is this possible?
Other Questions:
1. Do I have to wipe the bigger ones hdd to prevent any issues with the pc booting from the wrong drive?
2. Should I also swap the power supply?
3. The bigger one has a dvd/blue ray disc drive, the smaller one doesn't (person I bought it from said he took it out for better performance), can I connect the drive to the replaced motherboard without any issues?
4. Since I'm using the same ssd that was originally connected to the smaller ones motherboard, I wouldn't need to reinstall windows 10 right?
5. Any other factors I should consider to prevent any issues?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have to format your external SSD to NTFS before? Or will exFAT work just fine? I have a Sandisk Extreme external SSD

Ok this video helps. I got an Acer nitro 5 and am finally able to play more recent games on it. It runs great but has small space. I've been trying to figure out if I could get a hard drive to place my games there and how I could transfer them.

if you install steam on the External SSD along with games you can plug and play on any system?
i have a micro sd card installed to my Microsoft surface book 2, i have installed Warzone on it and it keeps freezing than kicking me out, I don't know if the problem is from the game itself or my pc or the sd card?? I'm so confused. the micro sd card is 160MB/s read speed and 90MB/s write speed, it a SanDisk 256GB Extreme MicroSDXC UHS-I. do you think i should move to an external ssd card like the one in your video ?

Yes, if properly set up, you should be able to move your Steam games to an external hard drive to free up room on your internal hard drive.

Yes thanks cuz my drive is a 5 TERRABYTE DRIVE that doesn’t even accept when I go through the steps to use it on steam. And so far nothing else has shown me how to do what I need to do.
