As someone who was a dishwasher as my first job, this is just a guess but since you were one of the first guests you got the last set of cups that went through the machine, which may have not have been cleaned for a while (depending on the machine that isn't an issue) causing lots of dirt and old food too spray up with the water and a server missed it when taking care of tge glasses

"Chi-leh Reh-yeh-no"
Always remember that double l in Spanish is a "y" like sound (Llave(key) is said "Yah-ve" not "La-ve")
Also also an x in Spanish makes an "h" sound (Oaxaca is said "Wah-ha-cah" not "Oh-ah-xa-cah")

Hey Daym, I'm from Virginia and we have a few Plaza Azteca locations in my area. I've never had a problem there. If you're ever in the Hampton Roads area I'd give it a try here.

As far as I know, with the limited amount of Chile relleno that I’ve had, each restaurant makes their Chile relleno differently. I’ve had full cooked peppers stuffed with a spicy beef and cheese mix with no crust and a pepper slice with a spicy meat and cheese mix in the center. The spice really does add a lot in my opinion, but I also believe these dishes were catered more towards my Georgia city of Lawrenceville so it’s not surprising that it doesn’t strictly follow traditional Mexican cuisine.

Whenever I go to a mexican restaurant for the first time who claims to have authentic mexican food I always get a chile relleno with my meal because any mexican restaurant should be able to do that dish proper. It consist of the poblano pepper stuffed with a quesadilla cheese, battered and fried with either a red sauce or green sauce on top. That is a mexican staple.

I've eaten at the Plaza Azteca in Wallingford by Lowe's and while the place (and glasses) was clean, the food was lousy.
The voice over, not bad at all. Greek food, deli’s, hero shops.

You need to go at night, during the day shift is when the good cooks and managers are working, at night, things get shifty. This is at all restaurants
Chiles Rellenos ( we pronounce them Ray-anos in Texas are usually roasted Poblano peppers stuffed with cheese dipped in flour and egg and pan fried. They aren’t very spicy, and people usually really like them, or don’t like them that much.

Flour is never used on a Chile relleno. It is instead bathed in egg yolk and deep fried. Also, they are usually stuffed with meat and cheese only. The spicyness is supposed to come from the Chile poblano

Most restaurants just put soap and water on their dishes and silverware due to the amount that they wash at once we usually put them on a so called assembly cleaning line and dirt is often missed but the dishwasher is supposed to dry it depends on the employee though

The chilli rellenos doesn't have jalapenos in the dish. It depends on the pablano pepper, some times its hit and miss on those.

Theres usually a dish machine or a three compartment sink where they wash them by hands or there a dish machine that only washes cups so if it was three compartment sink then he washed them by hand
I've been washing dishes for about 15 years and I'll tell you right now when it comes down the anyting cheese related to any type of dairy the dish machine cannot clean the dishes especially if you don't drain it spread down and make sure you straight all your food out every our up dishwashing

The Chile Relleno should actually charred so that the skin can be peeled off, still leaving a roasted flavor kick. They can be stuffed with meat or cheese. They'll then be breaded with egg wash and flour and fried up. Then they're dressed with a sauce. Jalapeno or serano pepper is only added if you want it to be spicy. You'd probably need to request it to be spicy with jalapeno or serano added. Chile relleno is more of a savory dish than it is a spicy one, unless it's specified that it's a spicy chile relleno.

Sorry Daym but authentic chile rellenos do not have jalepenos in them, It is a large Pepper usually an Anaheim or a Poblano roasted till soft, where is stuffed with cheese, meat, squash, nuts and then battered with a frothy egg mixture, and deep fried. Then it is placed on the plate with a special sauce. Each type of relleno has a specific sauce for it and then it is topped with either cheese or a nut drizzle. This is one of the reasons I will be doing my own videos shortly and will be working on my blog to correct the mistakes that is made against my people.

A chile relleno isn’t normally a spicy dish. Poblanos are more relatable to a stuffed bell pepper. I usually put a diced serrano in with the interior cheese mixture and some pepper jack on top with a little sour cream sauce or verde (up to customer). A semi bland relleno isn’t really a surprise though, so far in the NE US. Come down to Oklahoma or Texas and get some. You’ll love it here.

You really can't rate any Mexican cuisine unless you come to Texas or travel further west! The further north you go the more diluted the Mexican cuisine is. I hated Mexican food until I moved to Texas. Now it is my go to. As a born and raised New Englander, come down here and I will show you the spots! All love. Love your content. Honestly, as someone from California, the best and worst reviewed Mexican restaurants in your state look equally bad. Go to California for real Mexican food, or to Tijuana, Mexico. The food you showed us in both videos is pretty sad compared to the real deal, Daym.

A Chili Relleno usually only has the Poblano pepper, which can be mild or spicy, depending on the pepper. Meat inside isn't usual, but not a bad idea (usually only cheese inside). I've definitely seen much worse Mexican fare.

Hey daym just wanted to tell you im half Mexican so the chile relleno is a chile pepper that has a big slice cheese inside dipped in egg batter then fired and you put it in a tortilla. But the chile relleno isnt spicey at all(well its not supposed to be)but people make them differently. But those fijitas tho lol um i think the chicken scared the cow away lol. I use to work at a Mexican restaurant last year and boy was it hectic. Literally my manager told me throw everything in the dishwasher even with all the gunk. I told him I know what I'm doing because I previously worked in the same field and the dishwasher doesn't clean everything. I told him to his face if the customer complains then don't come at me for you preventing me from doing what I was originally doing.

A chili relleno is a deep fried cheese stuffed poblano pepper, it won’t have any jalapeño in it. Poblanos are a mild chili compared to jalapeño.
