I think learned this pronunciation back when I was like 8 in a very American way because of game shows sending people off to "Fabulous Puerto Vallarta!"

Love that you put the spotlight on CT food spots. Def a fab of your videos after my boyfriend and I were stuck on your channel for hours. Trying out the food the tasty yolk this week thanks to you.
Mole is waaaaaay more complicated than that...even here in Mexico is hard to find a good one, but you'll have the best from Puebla or Oaxaca, if not, there are plenty of good restaurants in Mexico city with cuisine from those places 5/5 stars totally mind blown
Hey Daym - I live in MA but work in the greater Hartford area - I'm loving your best & worst of CT and look forward to checking out some of these spots! 👍🏼
It's a great restaurant to go to, my grandmother loved it when we took her there for mother's day. Puerto Vallarta and Azteca are my favorite places to go for Mexican food 👍
Usually, Mole de Pollo is not suppose to be cut up chicken like that. It’s suppose to be like the thigh and the drumstick. And it also doesn’t have all that peanut sauce so I would understand why you wouldn’t like it.
Those veggies with cheese looked like the dish your mom prepares when she runs out of ideas, not very mexican at all. Hope some day you could try some carnitas, carne asada, gorditas, enchiladas, chilaquiles, pambazos, sopes, huaraches, flautas and of course... Real tacos, you would love all of them!

The irony of the “authentic “ dish being the mole he didn’t like it but the “stir fry” the furthest thing from it loved it lol what do you expect trying to get authentic Mexican food in Connecticut.
I will say, I rarely run into a Mexican restaurant with food that looks that good. It's either hit or miss. And RARELY does any dish I order look like what you had.
Next time you go to a Mexican spot, I highly recommend giving their Chili con Queso (cheese dip), their tacos, their enchiladas, and their fajitas a try. That tends to give you a better idea of the overall quality of the Mexican restaurant.
I know everyone is getting bent about all those veggies and cheese not being "Mexican", but hey, it was prepared well, and you really enjoyed the food, then that is important. Just be assured that the Mexicans aren't happy that you enjoyed an american veggie chicken stirfry with cheese, and having that be proclaimed as Mexican food. Whatever. It looked tasty, and looked like it was made well.
Here's a quick way to tell if it's authentic Mexican food. If they bring out the tortillas and they're flour instead of corn tortillas, it's Americanized Mexican food.
