I've been paddling an Aries 155 since 2012 and now on my second one. I couldn't be happier with the performance and now lightweight layup of the boat. It really is a brilliant kayak!

Always stuck me as being a "composite Dagger Stratos" . . .which is a great thing.
Would have one in my Lotto Kayak shed without a doubt.

Ahh, we spend a lot of time planning the contents (and layout!) of that shed, too! By the way, we make an actual polyethylene version of the Aries... the Delphin :)

If I already own a Cetus, and I wanted to buy a play kayak, which would would be better choice for me: an Aries or a Volan?

We'd say an Aries - then you have both sides of the coin, although we do know several people who own a Cetus and a Volan too.

@@PHSeaKayaks I tried a friend's Aries 155 and the thigh braces were a bit too low for my thick-as-hams thighs. I'm now thinking about a Volan 160. Would that be friendlier to chubby-legged paddlers? I fit a bit too snuggly on the unmodified Cetus MV, but comfortably after I lowered the seat a bit.

@@perezfranco at 110kg and 6'1", I do find the Volan 160 more comfortable than the Aries 155, yes :)
