Lots of good points in this video! Safety is paramount when out there and preparedness and mindset is key to avoid a lot of difficult or dangerous situations.
on the towline - if i saw correctly - a kraken carabiner is used. this carabiner has given strength of 200daN. is it not to few for towing in a fully loaded kayak in rough conditions?
We really hope you enjoyed the video. We have used the clip out in conditions and it has not broken. The clip you use on a tow line is quite a personal choice to get one you are happy using. It is a good idea to pressure test any new equipment to check it is fit for purpose.
Great video.. Mother Nature is unpredictable and always have to respect it.
Couldn't agree more!

Extremely useful info, thank you! I’ve gone fishing offshore and a lot of the safety gear, weather and tide tips apply.

At 7:33 of video, showing your split paddles on deck of kayak.. What is it they handles are inserted into?
They look like Northwater paddle britches.
