I learned from this video that history deals with study of past events. As what I’ve understood from our topic entitled An Introduction to Philippine Historiography is that this lesson deals with study of past events. Individual who write about history are called historians. They seek to understand the present by examining what went before. They undertake orders historical research to come up with meaningful and organized reconstruction of the past. The practice of historical writing is called historiography.
Archaeological records refer to preserved remains of human beings their activities and the environment where they lived. There are two categorized of archaeological fossils and artifacts. Fossils these are the remains of ants, plants and organism from the distant past. While Artifacts are remnants of materials which are developed by human beings so this include clothing, form implements, jewelry, battery, and stone tools.
Primary source this refer to documents, physical objects and oral or video accounts made by an individual or group present at the time and place being described these materials provide facts from people who actually witness the event. While secondary sources on the other hand are materials made by people long after the events being describe. This primary and secondary sources of history these are two general kinds of historical source.

The difference between history and historiography is that history is the event or period and the study of it. Historiography is the study of how history was written, who wrote it, and what factors influenced how it was written. As we know, we've been colonized not just once, not just twice but three times. We've been colonized by the Spaniards for 333 years, been colonized by the Americans for 3 years and 4 years by Japan, the independence of the Philippines and it's freedom is now 124 years. So, just like what Sir James Violon said in the video presented, most of our history was written by the countries that colonized the Philippines. Even the name of our beloved Philippines was from the name of the King of Spain which was King Philip the Second of Spain, we've been discovered by the explorer portuguese during March 16, 1535 which was Ferdinand Magellan and that's when he proclaim the islands of the Philippines under the name of King Philip. So, moving forward of what I've learned is that Philippines was such a brave and full of patriot people. If not for every single person who fought for our freedom, we won't be able to be here sharing our thoughts and our thankfulness to them. As a student who really love to learn more about history, it is an honor to share my thoughts and my heartfelt gratitude to our brave and empowered heroes back then today, here with you. The most interesting person who I really want to know more about is Francisco Dagohoy of Bohol, if you're not familiar to him, he was the one who led the strongest revolt during the Spaniard times. I really admire every single one of them and of course my beloved Philippines. My opinion without history or historiography of the Philippines is refers to the studies, sources, critical method and interpretation used by scholars to study the history of the Philippines archipelago has been part of many empires before the Spanish empire has arrived in the 16th century.
History is the study of past events. People know what happened in the past by looking at thing from the past including records (like books, newspapers and letters) and artifacts like ( pottery, tools,and human or animal remains). A person who studied history is called historian. And also history is the study of the past especially the people, Societes, events and problems of the past as well as our attempts to understand them.
