So happy to see a quilt block video. Sewing/quilting is what brought me to your channel and I’m thrilled to know you want to do more crafts. Thank you, Darlene.
Vicki I agree. I was looking for a scrap quilt block and remembered her. I love her humor and the way she makes quilt blocks.
Q😊😊😊!À CTRL Z😊😙😂😊😊😊😁😊😊😅😅
I have those exact clippers
Oh Darlene! I’m so glad to see you sewing blocks again-you got me started a long time ago and I’m still sewing. Making blocks is my most favorite thing to do!
I flipping LOVE the sound of your machine. It brings me back 5-6 years ago when I watched you sew. At that time I had no interest in making quilt blocks. I was just fascinated with your process. Now? I proudly say I AM a quilter. It brings me such joy. Thank you 😊
I love scrappy wonky crumby blocks and enjoy watching you create them - thanks Darlene.
Beautiful, scrappy block! Staystitching at the edge is a great idea! Thanks for a super video!!
I am so happy when you do these blocks. It makes me so happy you have your life back and you are dancing. Thank you for sharing your time with us.
WOOT WOOT! This is exactly what got me addicted to sewing! It’s so much fun! I’m so glad you are doing the crafting videos again. I’m extra happy you did a quilt block. Looking forward to what you have in store for us next! You rock sew much!
This is where I learned about you and fell in love with how you present quilting. Thanks
Oh girl..could not believe your promise to keep doing projects happened so quickly…as per usual..am in luv with the results..thank you for the generous sharing of your talents..🇨🇦
Love scrappy! So glad you are doing what makes you happy!
Thank you for inspiring us to get busy!
Love the wonky scrappy look. Hope you were out of line of the storms and all are safe❤
I’m not one for commenting, but I’ve been following you about nine months now. I absolutely love your tutorials. I mimic them all the time, and I’m out of scraps now lol.
The riff you had playing at the end of the video was great, thank you for that and for sharing your time and talents🥰
Oh no, out of scraps 😢, it's time to go check out charity shops and goodwill stores 😂
How is that even possible...lol
The very first video I watched was when you taught me to quit as you go. I loved your videos from then on. I wanted so badly to be able to comment and tell you how much I enjoyed your channel.
Now I’m so happy to see the amazing changes you are making. It’s wonderful to see you happy and enjoying your life finally. 💜
Darlene, I wonder if you have ever tried the crazy quilt template from Missouri Star quilt co ?I used it about 5 or 6 years ago to make a Halloween table runner. I’m not a fan of Halloween but the runner turned out so cute. Just thought I’d mention it. 👍🏻
Glad you're back. I love seeing a teacher who has a well-used sewing machine!
I am not a sewer, but I am fascinated by quilting. Beautiful, Darlene.
You make this look sooooo much FUN to make!!! Feeling empowered to make some of these now!! And PS….LOVE your nail color 💖
This is the best quilting block video ever.. and I have seen hundreds… and I love your style and personality ❤
Thank you
The block looks amazing. Love watching your process!
I love making scrappy stuff. Not too keen on quilting though! Your videos got me addicted to scrappy quilting, it's so calming. Thank for doing more!
Beautiful block, quite creative and, no wasted fabric.
I just stumbled upon you by watching your series on raw edge quilting. I LOVED IT!! I love how it just turns out so wonderful, and I've been looking for something that I don't have to be perfect in doing. The stitch and flip will help too. PLEASE continue to do the videos. I just love your attitude and how you make quilting, in your case, block-making, (lol) so much fun!!
I love your teaching technique. You make it all so simple.
Darlene, you have no idea how you have inspired me for years. The very 1st video of your strip block quilting I was hooked. I downloaded and saved your series on strip and crumb quilting techniques, and I made the most beautiful pieces, admired by everyone. This was in 2019, but your techniques of wonky and easy piecing have remained my passion since. I even went on a raid at l8cal markets for all the crumbs and strips I could get. They were basically seamstresses leftovers, ready to be thrown away so that I collected bags full of them, free 😊. What a dream. Thank you so much for spending all this time with us, in between your mom and her TV at times 😂. You rocketed me into a magical and endless world of creativity. ❤❤❤
I didn’t think the patterns looked good together when you started , but the finished block looks great!😊
Ok…love this AND I’ve always loved the sound of your machine in fast speed!!! Thank you!
That was fun! I am totally inspired! Thanks Darlene😊
It is lovely to see your tutorials again. Been watching your videos throughout in the last couple months. Can you please show some kids quilt ideas?

Fabulous.. I have an unfinished crazy quilt that I was doing a similar thing for boarders, sewing straps on a foundation.
My mother made so many quilts, using "what she had," and she would have loved these.
What a great pattern for 'quilt as you go!"
i really enjoyed this one...i learned that you have to cut the edges...i was just sewing on top, but i see why you need to cut. Thanks for sharing with us!

So happy to have you back sewing Scrappy and wonky blocks. Have learnt so much from your videos. Thanks dear. ❤
I love the scrappy sew and flip. I did a baby quilt using one of your videos.
Can't wait until you put all these together to make a quilt top. You're the reason I made my first quilt and why I have continued to sew. Thank you.
That idea works great for shopping bags. Any size , any shape. Any material. My friends love them.

I love this block. You make it look so easy. But I think I can do it.
I have been watching you for years from my home in Waterville, ME and have learned so much from your sewing tutorials. I especially love the scrappy/crumb-y blocks. I was sad that you left Maine for the south, but am glad to see you thriving there. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and creativity. Looking forward to the next one!
This made me smile. It reminded me of one of the first videos I saw of yours "How I turn narrow strips into new fabric". For a while, I only knew your hands, sewing machine table and giggle ...lol
Wow, I loved your way of teaching. Getting settled in new location and want to get back to sewing and creating starting with easy projects. This inspired me
Yay!! It’s always so good to see your machine. I’m glad it survived the move! Thanks for all your videos.
I love that your still doing quilt block videos. I love your nails and the colour. So summery. ❤️

This block is fun to work on. Enjoying your videos very much!
I hope you new journey brings you what you are looking for. Sometimes we just have to step away for awhile. Meanwhile, there are plenty of your videos to watch 😊
Fabulous tutorial! Very succinctly explained and the camera angle was very helpful to follow along. Thanks so much!
Can you do a video on organizing fabric -especially pieces, you do it so well. I get overwhelmed with scraps
Me too!
Love this block. Very nice and scrappy. I love these types of blocks. Thanks Darlene.
Thank you! Love these video's
Love this block! Kinda like paper piecing! I sometimes just sew scraps without a back and then cut down to size, but this way all you have do is choose a backing. Looooove it❤❤
So glad you are back to your great quilting videos!
What sewing machine are you using? I love the sound of it! ❤
Love the quilt block. I love your sewing machine. I have my mother’s Singer she bought in 1954. A year before I was born. It needs a repair.
I love your way of making this scrappy block. I have a lot of jelly roll strips that will be fun to use doing your method!
I've missed you!!!!! So glad you are back. I'm thinking I might do quilt as you go with these kind of blocks. Have you done that????
I never left.
Love your sewing/quilt blocks etc. videos! Love that nail polish color on you...your hands look so nice.🥰
I am so glad you are back sewing again!

Very cool block! Thanks for sharing. I think I have enough scraps now to do a wonky strip quilt👍🏼
Thank you. Love your block and the music at the end. ❤
I love that block, thank you for a great tutorial, I have some really cheap muslin that would be great as a foundation - just needed some inspiration and you gave me that!!
Yes, cheap muslin comes in very handy for foundation quilting.
That looks like fun Darlene! I’m going to try it

You have taught mr do much. 1 have made 3 quily tops amd not sure ejat yo do with them. I don‘t know how to quilt thr top and bottom together. This is awesome. Thank you.
Love it! I watched your earlier quilting block videos and even though you did something similar, there is something very unique about how you completed this one. I'm not sure what it is though ...... Thank you for bringing us back into scrappy blocks, great inspiration for future quilt designs in my sewing room :)
I love doing scrappy stuff!
Hi Darlene! I always do a stay stitch!
