Creepy fact about world wars: In WW1 life expectancy lowered to 17 years in the whole world, while in WW2 it lowered to 18 years. That's because if you were a teenager/child, you were expected to give military service in a matter of years (plus they couldn't know when the war would've ended)

That game was something else. It was fun (if you ignore the PTSD of course) to storm the trenches with your friends while all of your other teammates got mowed down a few meters away. You made your way deep into enemy territory, losing squad member after squad member, until eventually, you were the only one left, knowing you won't make it back, you decide to do a last stand and see how many enemies you can kill before dying yourself and restarting a new adventure a few moments later. To all the people who died in war: Sorry we don't live up to your sacrifices.

" Private Günter Bauer, 77th division, 1898-1918. " The smoke cleared up, as Günter slowly looked around. The artillery stopped. Now to take over the enemy trench. He was shaking. His rifle was like a branch in a wind. He heard the general's footsteps, and looked behind him. The general had a gas mask. Günter quickly took his helmet off and put his gas mask on. He knew that when general wore his mask, It meant that they'll walk to the enemy in deadly fumes of mustard gas. The general stood up on one of the boxes, that were once full of ammunition. " Men! Today, we shall take the enemy trench, whilst covered in our own deadly smoke. Prepare your weapons, make sure your loaded!!! ONWARDS!!! " Soldiers around Günter started to move. Günter put his hand on his chest. He wasn't christian, but he needed atleast some kind of hope. He grabbed the ladder, and climbed. The ground was black, mustard gas and constant bombardment destroyed everything that was green. The trees were only sharp nails in the ground, they had similiar colour to the ground, with only a wooden texture. The barbed wire was scattered around. Some sank in the ground and were barely visible. That gave Günter illusion that the barbed wire were some sort of tentacles that would pierce someone and drag them underground to the pits of hell. And then he thought. This place looked like hell, so what was the difference? He couldn't figure it out. Then he heard a shot and screaming. One of the soldiers in front of him was lying on the ground, covering his head, while the soldier in front was falling to the ground. Another shot came. This time, It scratched Günters helmet. He screamed and covered. Soldiers around started shooting. The Brits knew they were in the poisonous cloud. Günter was lying on the ground. His hands were shaking, and he couldn't see properly, as his eyes were shaking as well. He felt something falling on him. It was a German soldier. He briefly saw his name. Hans...something. Günter pushed him away and quickly grabbed his rifle. He shot the first enemy soldier he saw. Another came and punched him in the face. The enemy soldier then took Günters rifle and decided to stab him. Günters eyes widened in horror. He kicked the rifle out of the way, and quickly stood up. He pulled out his knife and stabbed the unknown soldier in the neck...5 times to be exact. Günter then looked around. He got sick. It was only slaughter around him. He saw a guy getting his head cut off with an axe, another one beating the enemy with his own helmet. He saw a german soldier praying...after few seconds he got shot in the leg. Günter was terrified. Was this real? Was this hell? He couldn't figure it out. He couldn't do anything. He heard a brit charging at him. Günter quickly grabbed his rifle and hit the brit with the It's buttstock. He then pulled the bayonet off of his rifle and stabbed the brit in the heart. Another brit caught him by his neck. Günter screamed. You could clearly hear him scream through his mask. He waved his hands around until he scratched the brit with his bayonet. The brit let go, and held his neck where Günter stabbed him. Günter didn't wait for shit. He grabbed the nearest weapon, a shovel left behind by someone, and hit the brit. Günter felt something...strange. The fear was slowly turning into anger. He looked around, and ran to the nearest enemy. He hit him in his shoulder. He continued hitting him, until the brits upper portion of his body fell off. He ran to another enemy, slicing his head off, and running to another enemy, cutting his hands off and kicking him in the face. There was nothing to stop his anger. From a scared human, to a killing machine with no remorse. Then...he stopped. He saw the enemy general. His eyes lit up with lust for blood. He screamed and started running towards the general. The general noticed him from far away, and started shooting Günter got hit in his shoulder, he didn't slow down. He got shot in his left leg. He slowed down to look at the damage the general caused. But he shook it off. He was so close. So close to killing another man. General shot for the last time and missed, as he was pushed by Günter. Günter then lifted his shovel. The general looked terrified. He hit once, he hit twice...the third hit was faster. And he gained speed after each hit. He screamed...he kept hitting a corpse of what was once a human...he cried...he slaughtered...and stopped. He heard many shots from a distance. He saw shells coming straight for him. He dropped his shovel. And gave up. " Mein...Gott...sei meiner...Seele gnädig... " He said...as it all went dark...
