Thanks for this vid. I’m a dude who’s been growing my hair out, and I’ve been using Olaplex 6 for a year and a half. Got a Sephora email offering 9 for free as a sample size, so I thought I’d try it. I use 6, Argan Oil, and I guess I’ll try 9 and see how it goes. Seems like it’ll be good.

This looks interesting !! I've been hearing of Olaplex for over a decade ! I recommended this brand to my sis as her hair has been very chemically processed !! Mine is ,too,but not as much as hers !! Lol. I usually use more natural products ! I use Sheamoisture detanglizer & ogx keratin shampoo / condtioner ,also love their Morroccan Argan oil shampoo/ conditioner as well !! I use Olaplex 7 on long hair and love the product, so I don't understand what this does that 7 doesn't?

N9 is a silicone-free hair serum that shields your hair from pollution for 48hours and it contains antioxidant-rich ingredients to prevent damage and to nourish the hair. N9 also helps to increase manageability of the hair (it is anti-static & anti-tangle). Both of them have heat protection and Olaplex's bond building technology and will help with shine.

Hi, yes you can use it on dry hair sparingly for frizz and static control. However, be aware that moisture is necessary to activate the protective benefits of the product as it is water activated and not heat activated. Therefore it is best to use it on wet or damp hair. You can apply the serum on damp, towel-dried hair working upward from ends to roots prior to styling. It provides heat protection up to 450F/232C
So when I apply it to dry hair, do i have to blow dry afterwards? Kinda confused
Hey it’s best to use it on damp or wet hair because moisture is necessary to activate the protective benefits. Apply it prior to any other styling products so that the ingredients can effectively penetrate the hair. If you are to use it on dry hair you don’t need to blow dry, you would apply it sparingly for frizz and static control and to enhance shine✨ it’s used on dry hair for a different purpose. Hope it makes better sense now :)

Can it replace 6&7?
Hi Sabina, N9 works differently than N6 & N7 but the choice is yours on which products to use to style your hair to get the best results. You can use N9 on its own or if you are using N6 & N7 (or one or the other) make sure to use N9 before N6 & N7 (or other leave in products) since it is a primer.

N6 provides heat protection for blow dry styling and does not provide thermal heat tool protection. However, N9 provides heat protection up to 232C/450F

Hi Tita, all of the products in the Olaplex line are sulfate free but some of them do contain silicones(depending on the product). N9 is silicone-free :)
is it safer than the number 3 of Olaplex which was removed in Europe?
Hi, Olaplex Nº9 does not contain the ingredient of concern lilial (butylphenyl methylpropional) that you have been seeing in the news in regards to Nº3.
