Hi, don't know if you still get this, but perhaps you like to know that this video has become a Christmas tradition with my family here in Germany. Me and my kids make the clootie dumpling a day before Christmas eve while listening to your video. And when the moment comes that you say:" in goes the pudding" we put our pudding in the pot and everybody yelles and claps. I can do a dumpling without your video... but on Christmas it is forbidden! Best wishes and thank you.
My mother in Oban used pillowslips to put it in, and wrapped coins in greaseproof paper & added to the mix for our birthdays. Ours used to be about 3 times that size & when it got a wee bit stale we fried it. Great video. Thank you. Scotty (Iowa) USA
I still use a pillowcase. I have 12 Silver Sixpences. I gave my Grandchildren or my Children $1.00 to get my Sixpences back, for the next birthday or Christmas. I’ll soon be making Dumpling again for my Great Grandson’s Birthdays.
Thank you very much! I Tried it yesterday for Christmas Eve, and it was delicious! (Must admit we added a bit of whisky.) Towel was ruined, but nevermind! Looking forward to cook your haggis.
Do you have a recipe and procedure for making a mealie dumpling.......As a young person I remember visiting a relative at kennethmont and out of one big pan came the soup, then the beef and larger pieces of carrot and neep, an a clootie dumpling that was made with meal .......I really liked it and would make it if I knew how.

This is what Nicola sturgeon should stick with, her intellectual level.
Please I’m Scottish but your accent is too much. Can you tone it down a bit.
Scottish people do not speak like that.
Depends on where your from. There's more than one Scottish accent.
Aberdonians sound like that to me 😋
yeah, we do! In the country in the lowlands and in small fishing towns, we do sound like that
