If you want more about Qui-Gon, I recommend reading the novel “Master and Apprentice,” backstory to Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan prior to the events of The Phantom Menace.
Anakin Skywalker's turn to the dark side would have never happened if Qui-Gon Jinn survived his duel with Darth Maul on Naboo. Qui-Gon knew that he would need to be the father figure for Anakin due to him already having an attachment to his mother. The Jedi Order he served was dogmatic and political with their beliefs and Qui-Gon’s maverick nature put him at odds with its rules. The Duel of Fates determined the fate of Anakin Skywalker. Qui-Gon fought for Anakin to be the father that he needed. However, his lack of forethought during his duel with Darth Maul on Naboo proved to be his undoing, as Qui-Gon had rushed after Maul without a strategy. Maul was able to separate him from Obi-Wan and kill the Jedi Master by seeing through his technique and highlighting his flaws. It's unfortunate that Qui-Gon had to die so soon in the prequel trilogy, but I've read the canon comics and his story is very inspiring.
I've heard this argument a lot. While I agree that there was a possibility that he would not have fallen, or as hard, I don't think its entirely 100% as the manipulation from Sidious was so strong. Yes, I know he filled that "father" void for him but he would still reach out as a sort of mentor none the less. Either way its a hopeful thought, I just don't like to think the responsibility of ones actions (Anakin) can be swayed so much by a single person (Qui-Gon).
Gaxelle but there is no denying that Anakin’s lack of a nurturing father figure did drive him further towards the dark side and resent the Jedi more. Qui-Gon was that father figure; when he fought for Naboo, he was also fighting for this sweet gifted kid with so much potential. That interpretation Dave Filoni gave instantly adds more depth and power to the prequel trilogy, making Anakin’s tragedy that more compelling. It was Sidious that stirred the conflict and later twisted the knife further just to bring Anakin to his side.
There's a theory that Anakin didn't kill Padme, but The Emperor was siphoning the life force from her to keep Anakin alive, kinda like a force healing. Hence the "She is losing the will to live" line.
7:24 it always gets me when Ahsoka takes off Rex's helmet and says "you're a good solider, Rex" and Rex has to look away from her. So many emotions. So, so many.
With Star Wars Squadrons coming I recommend the fan animation Tie Fighter by Ottaking, it's basically a Star Wars anime. Another good fan creation is the "501st Journal Star Wars as seen by the troopers". I hope you enjoy them as they are really good videos.

What do you think about the theory Palpatine used Padme's life force to keep Anakin alive. That's why the medical bot said she should have survived and they weren't sure why her body gave up. Sheev did this to cement Anakin onto the path of the dark side
Wow, I have heard this theory. I honestly prefer that then to think she gave up listerning from a broken heart. Which is definitely possible but Padme is strong/independent its hard to imagine that suddenly.
I just realized even after having seen Revenge of the Sith and knowing who Vader is from the first three films of the OT, so menacing and owning his armor, and even seeing what he went through to be in that armor, and the bacta tank in Rogue One, I just realized, especially with Clone Wars and Rebels and many of these creative edits, or maybe just picked up on this one at 10:01 how Anakin in already physical pain and emotional anguish went from being a powerful Jedi who wanted to save Padme then losing her and being told he was the cause of her death and then him staggering, which before CW, was I took to be the pain of the moment before "no", but now it seems he took a longer beat that it made the think, after CW, that he Anakin finds himself trapped in this armor and this fate, and all the parallels just came to mind, duel of the fates and finally appreciating the added "no" on Return of the Jedi, both in response to the Emperor. He does certainly own that menacing seeming badass armor throughout every medium (including CW) but that was before we knew what it took from him to be in it. No wonder it pained Obi Wan in ANH. So when he said "Darth" in ANH, you could now take it as a Kenobi signature taunt. Just noticed that from his seemingly extended staggering at that point: from "what have I done" to "what have I become." Might be obvious to some and already known but that moment just hits differently now from this editing, with CW, different mediums including comics, theory vids. Most impressive editing, and a surprise to be sure but a welcome one. Not that we didn't know but that it brought it to the forefront like a splinter in the mind's eye. Kinda culmination of reaction video thoughts I guess. Helps to bounce off impressions.

It was a silent trip. We all knew what was about to happen, what we were about to do. Did we have any doubts? Any private, traitorous thoughts? Perhaps, but no one said a word. Not on the flight to Coruscant, not when Order 66 came down, and not when we marched into the Jedi Temple. Not a word."

Hey xelle! I only just got your reply two months later!! I feel so humble that you liked my message!! All the best with your channel and your husbands channel too
Anakin was out of it when he attacked Padme? I suppose that he was, in a way, he was so lost in the rush of the dark side, he had just killed the separatist council, enemies that had haunted him for almost three years. It must have been gratifying. He was so high on his possible future, overthrowing Sidious and ruling with Padme at his side, then...he saw Obi Wan and he saw red, he was only thinking of himself, and in that moment Padme was not a person to him, all he wanted to do is silence her, and he did so with barely a thought. The dark side was like a drug at that point, and Anakin was in its thrall, all that mattered was more power, and what it meant to him, him above all.
Yes thats kind of what I meant by out of it. Clealry Anakin was slowly dying and Vader was taking over. His years of layering anger, disappointment and feelings of betrayal consumed him as he gave into the dark side more and more.
@@Gaxelle if you have not, I do recommend reading the now non canon novelization of Revenge of the Sith by Matthew Stover. It adds some AMAZING perspectives to the scenes from the film. As well as giving us some of the deleted scenes....and if you can believe it makes Palpatine slimy. More so than in the film
bemasaberwyn55 Wasn’t Anakin like, cracking jokes and having fun while he was slaughtering the Separatist Council? I remember Anakin saying, “I am your reward, don’t you think I’m handsome?” after Gunray said, “Lord Sidious promised us a handsome reward.”
Hey Xelle how are you? As I always tell you, you are truly passionate about star wars and one of the few who understand and see its true meaning, which is ultimately about the family and about sacrifice to achieve the common good, peace and the final victory over the sith that is what anakin did at the end of episode VI, if REY had not taken that role from him but that is another story what I say is that anakin must have killed palpatine to give balance to the force but it turns out that palpatine was I live all the time for 30 years, okay evil can't die forever and always comes back but did it have to be palpatine in such a twisted way? it could be another enemy. By the way I recommend you to watch darth vader tribute. ;)

To be fair. I remember watching a video explaining what age certain characters are. I remember Plo Koons age being 300+. If you want I can find the video and link it here.
Togrutas also have a longer life span than humans as well, usually 95+ I believe & with the force it’s doubled, so Ahsoka could live up to 200 years as well. She could also live far beyond the ST since she’d only be middle aged at 70. Dave Filoni said something similar to. “Just because we hear her voice doesn’t mean she’s dead, just lending it”; (I don’t remember his exact words so this might not be 100% correct) not long after TROS premiered. It looks to me like Abrams tried declaring her dead off screen without his permission, so he shut it down in a post right after he saw the film because people were freaking out over it. Like many other things in TROS.

And I also think Qui Gon would’ve wanted to save Anakin’s mother, which would not have made Anakin want Palpatine’s help to cheat death as much
