I just got back into CB after not using it for awhile and it’s fun. I made a dragon CB set with dereliction, strife, dragonheart and dragon conversion and damn is it strong. I was hitting for 1k damage per phial. I needed some Ibushi parts so I hunted poor Ibushi, played really sloppily and still slayed him within 5 minutes lol. It’s kinda nice not having to care about weakness exploit, crit boost, attack boost etc. You can spec fully into element
Remember when in world/iceborne you had to use guard points and real combos to charge your phials and not have a 3 second cheese to instantly block all damage and counter with your strongest move? Pepper ridge farm remembers, “Just don’t use it” and take the dps loss, like telling an MMO player “don’t use your full rotation just spam 2 buttons to win” Capcom needs to go back to the drawing board for MH6, wirebugs were a mistake
You're complaining about a non issue here bruh. They don't "need to go back to the drawing board" because of wirebugs. Wirebugs was obviously a one off mechanic meant for Rise and will not return in MH6, the next game will most likely get its own mechanics. Besides Iceborne was worse off because Clutch claw was actually a badly implemented mechanic that hurt the flow of the combat and the balance of the weapons. Considering how cranked up the monsters are in Sunbreak, counterpeak is just fine. Every weapon got some new crazy moves to deal with everything and multiple viable playstyles, and CB is still the most risky one out of all of them. If u don't like it that's fine but don't imply it's badly designed just because u can't get the hang of it or u don't like it, the way it works is just fine for Sunbreak.
1:42 At least Rise doesn't eat your phials when you are interrupted during an saed, like it did in World.
Probably my favourite cb matchup along with chameleos 😁
