I learned back in 4U when I started MH, the whole monster is a hitbox at all times and I stick to it. That tiny toe claw, it's a hitbox, the thin whisker during a spin, it's a hitbox, the damn roar, it's a hitbox. Bummed AkantorX hasn't put up any updated charge blade videos, the dude is a god of CB.
That was a really good fight! I always wanted to main the Charge Blade, but never got to make it work to my prefered style!
I'll just say that this reminds me of the fatalis fight with lance, pretty glorious too
The curse of Rise chargeblade. Being incredibly fun to play yet also frustrating when sometimes all you can do is SAED and pray for a recoil. You did well tho
Also a note that for Malzeno. During the final phase most everything he does is safe to just block and wait. The only problem moves are the lasers that you need to dodge and then some of his wing slam attacks that aren’t blockable tho some of them you actually do have enough time to SAED since it has scripted follow ups

Actually struggled so much with this fight in the urgent, especially after returning from not playing for a while being a little rusty. Fucked my shit up lol.

1:14 you got weirdly unlucky because that counter works almost all the time, like it did for you a bit later
It's not luck, it's positioning. He walked a bit sideways to the wrong side before the poke, causing him to be outside of the blindspot of the swipe.
Can you play all weapons or somthing?
Pretty much yeah, there's a couple that im not great at but i still know how they work ( LS and GS )
the fact that saed cb user have to trade while fighting this guy is frustrating
Exactly, i wish it was only partly that and the other, a sort of small-reward counter so that not doing saed isnt costing
@@imsnooze8357 i remember when i get this urgent quest at mr40 i can only chip damage since i dont have enough damage check to make it stumble with my saed
@@akara472Tbh they should of combined both play styles by making axe mode a sort of good attack and mid evade playstyle and then allow you to switch between the sword mode via certain combos where you have pretty good evade and mid damage (only important for charging phials). Have saed as a kind of situational attack

did you realluy just say everything with CB is a trade?
more specifically most saed's are a trade
there are too many button combos and buffs to keep track of. Think I'll stick to unga bunga lance.
