Its great Will! I thought u were gonna go with the first font in frame 1...09:05... I feel like since its rounded its more approachable and friendly and it kinda imitates the logo
Mate!! this was an extremely valuable and insightful process. Can see the serious amount of work that went in. And that end result is just beautiful. What an upgrade. Stellar work Will & the team
As an Arabian designer from my sight nicely the Arabic typo is so generic and awkward for the modern typeface of Arabic "especially for b2b corporate " you should in future hire Arabian typography designer for an Arabic project and for sure I`ll be so glad get in touch with me next for kind of these project :* Overall perfect work i enjoyed it. :)
imho the "a"-arcs in the logo are way to thin. sorry to say, but the proportions could have handled better. and as you taught me - squinch a bit to see how it looks from far away or on a small scale, and in this case for me i just end up seeing like a weird wifi logo in a circle
To be honest, the new logo does not look good in white color. However, if the client liked it, then you did a great job. Keep uploading these kinds of real client case studies.
I started sketching 6 months ago I was inspired by your videos so if thought I should give it a try and I was in love with the results now I'm also learning drawing because of you before it I used illustrator for logo's it was good process but as you said it gives a lot of things which is sometimes its very overwhelming but your process has worked great for me I also tried a lot of other things like Abi Connick way but I was really inspired by you and Alan Peters way and now I'm pretty good at logos ❤
The final logo I love it I don't know if it was by accident the way that trouble A looks like a desert sand wich I really love it , but one thing I might edit it the arabic typeface I think it should be the main and some focus on it , that set I've really enjoyed the video thanks for give us that nice inspiration.
He is so right! I saw one of my biggest mistakes when I'm in the process of brainstorming different designs... I don't actually draw most of them. And it's a big mistake. Seeing your idea visually and not just as a mental construct but having a shape and a form in a piece of paper, this process, can become the stepping stone for something which later can explode into a brilliant design. Not having enough patience and skipping these steps..... Doesn't help actually 🤔
That was very interesting and informative. Thanks. It looks clean and nicely modernised though it's hard for me not to see an airline logo. But maybe everything essentially is now anyway?
Love it. I always appreciate the real world case study deep-dives. I do have a question though... 10:15 -> I'm not sure how a game company comes off as cheap. Maybe I'm not understanding what you're referring to. Is that to say the client's company needs to feel more expensive than a game company? Game companies approach their logo design just as thoroughly. In fact, I'm having a hard time thinking of what game company looks like the example you're pointing out here. Semantics, I suppose, but I'm still a bit unsure what you're getting at in comparison. And yes, I work in the games industry 😅 but I'm not taking offence!
@willpatersondesign I'm running under the name "Othervibe", so it is part of me now 😀 but yes, it is an expressive word in a way, can't be replaced by 1 single word.
The design is great! As an Arabic viewer, I appreciate your effort in making the Arabic text look connected, unlike other designs where it's broken because they don’t understand the language. Just a small note: you chose a nice English font, but it would be better to pick an Arabic font that matches the brand style ❤❤
Hey there, thanks for your kind feedback! Our original intention was to absolutely find a nice Arabic font, but our client wanted this re-design to just be in English :)
Hello Will Paterson, your video is helpful but it would have been great had you really presented the full process of how you actually made the logo in Adobe Illustrator. I think that part is missing. I want to say that I am a big fan of beautiful fonts, especially script fonts. Please make a video on fonts ( serif, sans serif, and script) that are free and if possible, please share some of your exclusive paid fonts ( serif, sans serif, and script) with us that you use in your designs. It would be beneficial.
I know it's corporate and that, but I really feel the font used is a miss.. I think Will could've used either of the fonts at 10:06 and reworked them for the logo.. the one he chose is very boring and predictable.. Has no personality and misses the "family" element..
sorry to say that the arabic typography used is not good. also in arabic we read from right to left not from left to right as latin languages this affects the arabic audiance and this is unconfortable for a reader

Fantastic process! I love the finished logo. Not only is it creative, but you also made it timless.
I really enjoyed the process and presentation-it was great to see. What I appreciated the most was the logo refinement process.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is why this channel is better than so many others. Love your videos and you explaining your process
I appreciate that!
Absolutely enjoyed the details of the process & how the outcome took shape! Thanks for putting this up, Will

Video is coming in clutch, I've got a project on this exact topic: Brand Identity 😅
The simplicity of this❤❤❤
This is really helpful and insight of your process work for high client. And it really helps me to work on some brand projects as practise.
Honestly, I really like the very first-round idea. Thank you for sharing Its really useful
Thank you for sharing your thought process! Really helpful 😊
To be honest, the new logo does not look good in white color.
However, if the client liked it, then you did a great job.

We will :)
This really helped me and thanks a lot for inspiring me to start making logos properly with your process.

I also thought the same, it looks more like an airline brand 😅
I think Arabic font does matter so you need Arabic designer in your agency
It looks like the St. Louis arch. I think the serif font looks good with it tbh.
Hi Will! This kind of minimal shape structures definitely need kind of resemblance check with Google Lense etc.
Always Love your videos ❤❤🔥🔥
Can you make a video on when to design symbolic logo, wordmark logo, vintage logo and other categories of logos??
Really cool work
I really like the process you followed but not so much the outcome. I honestly dig the logo before the rebrand.
What do you think about Jaguar's new redesign?
Love it. I always appreciate the real world case study deep-dives. I do have a question though...

had a blast working on this with you, Will! 🙂
You’re a legend. The building inspiration gave you a killer design 🔥🔥🔥
How much do you charge for per logo? Range???
Hi Will, can you please do a designers reaction to Jaguar's new logo/shapes/tones thingy? Thanks!!!
Coming right up
I am a beginner where from should I start
Check out my beginners guide series :)
Thank you!
The final logo made me thing of a mobile phone company, like EE or T-Mobile
would love to see the client's comment! by the way want more videos like this!
You are really good 🎉😂❤
Over or under $50k?
Full series on Branding Design from stretch
I remember Will how much You used to say that You don't like the word "vibe", yet, You seem to be getting used to it 😀
Hahha yeah. Still don’t like it but it’s a word that I can’t replace now 😂
@willpatersondesign I'm running under the name "Othervibe", so it is part of me now 😀 but yes, it is an expressive word in a way, can't be replaced by 1 single word.

The Arabic font was terrible, but everything else is wonderful, awesome logo
cool work man. the former one also looked good actually, apart from the arabic typography.
Please don't show final logo in thumbnail. So we can also think and learn
sorry to say that the arabic typography used is not good. also in arabic we read from right to left not from left to right as latin languages this affects the arabic audiance and this is unconfortable for a reader
Am I the first one?
As an Arab designer, I see the Arabic font used is really horrible
Logo design is easy
@@nittani. Nope.
Not easy at all

@@uzairali3847 im a logo designer my self fk off kindly
correction: "Logo design looks easy"
Imagining the legend is liking my comment again ❤

poor work tbh. You say you've designed logos for over a decade. This is pityful.
Is that.. what they liked!?
That what not to do is probably someone's work 💔
Yeah! Thanks @willpatersondesign
