I first heard their song ""When the Night is Over" on TCM in 2018 when they did their annual "In Remembrance" video and I fell in love with it instantly. In January of 2019 I lost my husband and on Valentine's Day I ordered Lord Huron's CD Vide Noir with a gift card he had given me the year before, so it was kind of like a present from him. I listen to it all the time and every song somehow reminds me of him. So I am forever thankful to TCM, Lord Huron and my husband for introducing me to such wonderful music. Normally all I listen to is oldies from the 40's-70s and sometimes 80's and 90's. I don't like today's music much at all but for Lord Huron I will make a HUGE, HUGE exception.
I may be late to comment here but I just discovered these guys last week and in this quarantined world, their music has touched my soul like never before! Beautiful music and a great band!
Still ahead of me. I just ran into this last week and now I'm trying to figure out why I haven't been following them around the country like a Deadhead.
Michael: I think it's the way they blend musical eras and genres, and actually improve on the best of all of them -- plus some incredible non-standard lyrics and composition. It's like a genre until itself: Goth Folk hard rockabilly and roll, er something. Can't ever put my fingers on all the influences in a single song, and don't want to. Over-analyzing might break the connection.
I just discovered this band from watching the new Robert Redford Nick Nolte movie A Walk In The Woods. I was so taken with the music that I watched the credits to see who made them. Lord Huron had about three songs in it. I bought their two albums and am officially a fan. Beautiful music.
The emotions these men give me are indescribable. My favorite band of all time. These guys are better than any therapy I’ve ever received, I work through so much while listening to them ❤❤❤
+Marshall Jewell Ben Schneider has assembled such a fine band to showcase his incredible gift for singing and songwriting. The lyrics to "Fool for Love" could almost stand alone as poetry. Love the musical nod to Buddy Holly's "Not Fade Away' in the song's chorus.
I've been listening to their Strange Trails album for a week now and this is the first time I've seen them playing live. I am in awe! So glad I discovered these guys

LA-based indie band Lord Huron. The band’s sophomore album, Strange Trails, has been praised by Paste Magazine for its “return to…music and its ability to transport audiences somewhere else-like any good tale should,” and I would have to concur. I've been listening to this album non-stop since its debut. Originally a solo project of Ben Schneider’s, collaborators now include Mark Barry (percussion, vocals), Miguel Briseno (bass, percussion) and Tom Renaud (guitar, vocals). Tom is an avid Guild player, frequently playing them on tour and in the studio. We asked Tom a few questions about his history with Guild and Lord Huron. ~ GG: How did you get involved with Lord Huron ??? TR: I’ve known the guys in the band for most of my life. So good. This is such an amazing band with a unique sound. Love strange trails. Reminds me of tiger army meets Bruce Springsteen meets Johnny cash meets Elvis. It's so diverse. A little country, a Little Rock, a little 50's and a little indie with a side of b movie horror. This performance was a little pitchy but still decent.

I recently went to one of their live performances and I must admit I prefer the quiet of this live recording. The bassy, loudness at that concert took away from the beauty of their music and lyrics. So much love for this band though x

first the Zales commericals with the guy getting on the train with the ballons. or maybe it was Frank getting out of the hospital and walking home in the snow in the last episode of season ? 4 or 5? of shameless. of course a walk in the woods which is a great book by Bill Bryson and a good movie adaption. and yes I'm 40 but poor Clay.
they are so good
They had a great drummer!!!
I recently went to one of their live performances and I must admit I prefer the quiet of this live recording. The bassy, loudness at that concert took away from the beauty of their music and lyrics. So much love for this band though x
Yes KEXP! I was hoping this would happen!
Acabei de conhecer essa banda, através do filme do Robert Redford, e desde então, me apaixonei!
