I've watched several different color separation videos and this is by far the simplest video I’ve come across. You got straight to the point, made it simple for beginner. Thank you keep up the good work
Straight up. And she put folks in they place to start off😂😂 I was gonna just get my screens printed at a print store but this showed me I could do it myself. Just gotta get inkjet transparencies and a printer
Wow, watched one of your videos randomly, learned then subscribed bc im helping run a screen printing business with my close friend. Then I started looking thru more of your videos & here you are separating out colors of my *very small* college alma mater! I do take this as a sign that you are the teacher I was looking for! Thank you for what seems to be an endless catalog on this business I don’t know much about & am jumping right into! - Devon
Wow, thank you so much for this video. I am just learning photoshop to help me with digitizing embroidery designs. Very clear and precise instructions. Blessings!
Absolutely this is a wonderful way to separate simple colors however I would love to see you do a video on separating complex designs using the channels
I don't do process printing but there are some videos on here that show how to do that. Check out Mikey Designs here on youtube I think he posted one on what you are looking for just last week.
Thank you so much for doing this video. Don't know if I could have figured it out myself. Really appreciate all your help and information for beginners. Thanks a lot.
Just want to say thank you for all your hard work and vid,s i have a small T-shirt buz i run with my daughter and we have both learnt so much from you, don't worry about the haters. so thanks again from all the way down under ( Australia) .

Thanks I really like How clear you explain things Im old school time to learn something new Thanks again. Bless...
Thank you TC for putting up this video. I have adobe elements 15 with photoshop. My version looks a little different than yours but the tools are still there. I recently started making t-shirts and I purchased a screen printing kit to start with. I haven’t been able to burn my images into my screen because I’ve had trouble editing my images on photoshop. So thank you for this video. I’m going to try the color separation....
Great tutorial i lover your videos.. I'm a full time embroiderer and want to start screen printing. can you recomend what type of ink to start with? Plastisol or water based inks.
I started with water based ink but now only use plastisol. With water based inks you don't need the chemicals to clean up the ink it washes away with water. For plastisol you will need chemicals to clean up the ink. Water based will dry by just being in the air then you can cure it with a heat press if you don't have a conveyor dryer. Plastisol ink will not dry unless you heat it up and it can be cured the same as the water based ink once it is dry to touch. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching
Great can you also do some video on dealing with halftones. Which printer would you recommend to have proper halftones printed on negatives? Can I use any canon Pixma inkjet printer?
Oh my gosh! This is freakin cool!!! Thank you so much for the awesome tutorial! I know it’s a couple years old, but beautifully done! Thank you thank you thank you!!!
Is there a way to achieve this same result, with images that have more detail in color? For example, a picture of a stained glass window, and lets say i only want the framing in between the glass??
