Fun fact: The creepers are based on the old saturated grass color when they are first added in the game so it's more harder to see them in these versions until biomes are added
classic is so incredibly underrated perhaps you could make a video playing on the most popular or well known classic worlds or even some that are just around the internet even though i didnt play classic when it came out, watching videos of that version is a blast, its truly a product of its time
the old wool colors are not talked about much, and I honestly think it's kind of cool to see that before the original 16 wool colors there were other colors, the old wool section in the 2nd layer could have been a good place to mention them, great video overall though
Very fun video ^^ I love talking about minecraft classic, its vibe is so different from even alpha or beta, it feels like its own thing!! It's fun to learn about it. I didn't know about that jump glitch! The only thing I think that was misrepresented here is the wool block section; I think that entry was less about the texture and more about the colors classic wool had; iirc there's two colors that don't show up at all in modern minecraft's dyes. A sea green color and a reddish purple, they look really pretty
I remember back in early 2010 my friends and I spent an unreasonable amount of time in our classic server, it was incredible thinking back seeing the small 256x map transform in such a small time, we would reset every couple of weeks. The infinite water plagued us for the longest time because we didn't even know about the sponge functionality for months!
I used to play on Minecraft Classic. Especially the old online gamemodes, such as Lava Survival. I miss playing Lava Survival. I really want to play it again. It was such joy.
I've been playing a ton of beta 1.7.3 lately. I don't get any nostalgia from it as I wasn't that old when that version was out (I was born in September 2007). However, I can see why people find it nostalgic, and also the best version of Minecraft, it's so fun.
i know how you feel i've been doing the same, and i also lack nostalgia for the version as the first version i really get nostalgia for is 1.5.2. i also agree it is the best version of minecraft. something about beta 1.7.3 just feels right
Despite not getting it to work yet myself, I do think Microsoft should reach out to the creators of Betacraft and perhaps fold it into the proper Minecraft launcher. Maybe give the people working and maintaining the servers jobs to continue doing what they're doing as Mojang employees. Ah, I can dream...
Love your thorough exploration of and dedication to Minecraft nostalgia. Great videos. I only started playing around 2019-2020 so I'm very late to the game, but the history of it all is really interesting.
pretty sure 0.0.13a (at least development versions) were actually coded to be long and thin instead of square [ 6:43 ] At least, according to Method's 0.0.13 dev versions recreations Also, just to mention before someone points to the 0.0.13a in the launcher... that is actually 0.0.13a-dev1, yeah...
@@PaladinRyan it could have been that he was going to (or did, tbh, idr) expand the world and wanted to make sure it worked one way first, makes since why it would in the dev versions, I believe the worlds from 0.0.13a-dev1 (launcher 0.0.13a and Method's Recreation of 0.0.13a-dev1) were 512x32x64 (x/z/y), differing from the normal 256x256x64 at that time Edit: corrected world size (512x32x64) and to point out that it is when you generate a new world on it, the instant created world is a flat square
I first started playing minecraft during the classic days when it was first around. I still have a shitty frapps video of my first ever castle I ever built on a minecraft server. It was only in 'creative' mode and boy it was quite fun honestly. I miss playing it tbh. And to this day, my inventory button is still mapped to B xDD
This was fun to make and research! Should I make more iceberg videos?
Keep up the grind bro and yes
Yea!
Sure
yes
👌

I litrually just wend from watching a serial killer iceberg to a Minecraft iceberg, perfectly balanced
Natural order of things. As Darwin intended.
As all things should be
oh hi bro i like your videos
nice pun on wendigoon

Awesome video ! I didn't know there were so many versions of classic !
I thought I had already watched every Minecraft kind of iceberg nice to see a new content, thank you Ryan always loving the videos
thanks dude! I was shocked that there wasn’t anything on it already!!
Love your content Ryan, thank you for blessing my day with another amazing video
thank you for blessing my day with your comment!

I would love this..unfortunately Mojang & especially Microsoft don’t care at all about old versions since it doesn’t make them money.
I just found this channel yesterday, and was wondering how you hadn't made an iceberg yet!
it’s happened!!

I used the x-ray glitch a lot! It came so much in handy
I remember using WOM client a lot and playing lava survival, those old servers were so much fun
i cant get enough of these videos
just checked my notifications and saw that you posted, your videos always make my day better!
that’s the goal, so glad to hear that!!

that’s interesting, I thought it was a glitch! I wonder why Notch tried that?

@@Kevaca that is amazing info and so interesting. Thank you!!
Man there is project named classicube its based on minecraft classic but enchanced with servers and plugins
The very first glass texture could just likely be the shortest lasting texture to a block in Minecraft history.
C418 has an unlisted video on his channel showing off his concept for sounds, ambient loops and music in Minecraft pre-classic
what's the link? or the url after the ?v=
Another good video I'd also love to see a iceberg on other old eras like indev
5:11
That wasn't a case in 2009 Classic versions, actually. Human models are always bugged in the 2019 remake, and have not been fixed.
Nice video as always! By any chance, do you know what the last song is at 11:40 ?
absolutely! the song is Ice Cream Social - Steven Beddall
Thanks so much!!
I remember the thing with the glass! I got so pissed when I was trying to build an underwater base.
Glad you enjoyed our game
Finally a good small youtuber!
Very interesting. Thanks!

There is one where if you use the xray glitch in the corner of the world there will be all of the flowers and mushrooms in one space under the bedrock
Bro didn't mention teal wool, the unused block available in that version
You should talk about classicube sometime
I didn't know I could still play Minecraft classic online
Pretty cool video!!!
Good Video!
Very nice video
The original glass texture looks like ice so this is actually a glassberg
YES
I love me a good iceberg video
Felt like ClassiCube should of been on here
Am i the only one old classic indev ceiling glued 2d clouds fan/ veteran?
very nice indeed. beta iceberg?
Section 6: I Don’t Know These
6:00 whats so incredible about it
epic
You should do indev next
I don’t think I’ve seen an indev iceberg, but that would be super cool if someone made one or can link me one.
What's the music at 11:44?
Will you be doing an iceberg on others version like beta of Infdev?
possibly :)
Had to grind for this view
Ifyk,yk
Idk why my brain just wanted me to send this lol
