I have watched numerous presentations by Brian on VWAPs and AVWAPs and I will continue to watch them whenever they are available. There is so much to learn and repetition always help reinforce the principles. Kind of like how an athlete practices the same motion over and over so it is stored in their muscle memory. Thank you. The focus on what's really important (understanding the whole picture / context) is wonderful. There is no BS in this interview it may be boring for people looking for a "magic" pill solution but what Brian is offering is fundamental understanding of how buyers and seller interact with each other and using that knowledge to develop an edge.

Indeed Brian, all the colors are important to a painter! Now I'm gonna paint some puffy little clouds man, thanks for all you do! I've learned quite a bit from your explanations.
Brian Shannon is a great guy and educator I also trade with VWAP but with the standard deviation bands when I found out what value was and did background study on what was standard deviations and the mean in price the average price and made since to me i will read his book to gain more knowledge
As an artist I can appreciate his comparison of colors to time frames. I'll check at least to five before entering a trade. They all need to tell their story. Great advice also on trend, buyers back in control, etc.

Good morning and thank you for this great video. May I ask if VWAP or AVWAP works on the Forex Market as well ??? NYSE, Nasdaq are "centralized" markets that have a real read on Volume, while Forex is a"descentrilized" market and each broker has a "different way" to show and count Volume ... love to hear your thoughts !!! thank you !!!
this is a nice sharing on avwap ...thank u! I am just wondering is this as applicable on forex ,since it arent centralized but would instead take in tick info. Would like to understand anyone's thought on this
I think what Richard was trying to ask is that lets say we are looking at 10 min chart and it is above the AVWAP from LL you put and you are now looking for entry and switch to 2 min chart but now price is below the same AVWAP. So now Price being above AVWAP was main drive for the entry and it is no longer valid on smaller time frame. How do you trade that? Wait for 2min chart to go above the AVWAP? Thank you

I will look at daily to look for good trend stock, 30minute look at intermediate term where I can get involved, 3-5 mins for entry level, then go back to 30minute is set my stop loss with recent low high. In other word, I personally like 30 minute and daily chart
I learned all this from his book, stay with timeframe you like

Can you use the AVWAP for futures trading or is it only to trade Stock because they have volume.
Volume is a key part of the calculation for VWAP.

Brian mentioned the 5D moving average at the 30M timeframe. I guess he mean the 5 period moving averages?
no, I meant 5 day, to see that you need to use 65 periods. There are 13- 30 minute periods per day. 13x5 =65

AVWAP doesn't work for me on any platform. The baseline and the deviation lines are always so close together that they run right through my candles (4h).
Well, I guess that makes sense. Every person has to what indicator that works for them. Yep hi to low time frames. You need to pick up on the nuances yourself and how much confluence or confirmation that you think you need.

All these indicators or oscillators and I mean all will be a traders biggest weakness if that's what they depend on to initiate a trade they should only used for live at that moment data to identify the current status of the any given market and not for identifying the direction of the market for direction it begins with understanding fundamentally what's going on and technical analysis used for the best entery as well understanding how and why markets move and knowing how market makers and big money may intervine and manipulate markets.
