This was an excellent presentation, and I loved the speaker's attitude throughout. I discovered Anchored VWAP in 2016 and have been using it -- in almost exactly the same ways as was presented here -- as one piece of a complete fundamental+technical trading plan. It is an effective tool that withstands the test of time.
pspol depending on your version of the indicator...it is either anchored by a day, a week, month or year. I use a daily vwap in my 15M intraday strategy or a 4H weekly vwap in my swing strategy

Always wondered about 50 MA. Concluded that it was based off 10 weeks and used by banks etc. in times before computers / calculators because it was easy to compute off of weekly bars. Add up 10 weekly closes and move the decimal by one space. Easy to do. Then when computing got easier and faster, they went to 50 MA. Happy for any comments on how 50 MA came into being.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who utilizes "weird" time frames. On my shorter swing trades I prefer a 13-min chart; Not as antsy as the 5min and it makes the moving averages a little quicker than on the 15min.
Good presentation. Thank you for the idea regarding IPOs. I've been reading about vwap and that idea (ipo) seems to be the only possible strategy I can (maybe) get excited about using vwap for. Maybe I just need more screen time with it. So far I just don't see it. In any event, thank you.
Keep in mind that’s not the anchored vwap. That is the regular Vwap, if you want the anchored one you click on the trend line button on the left panel in TradingView - scroll all the way down and you’ll see it. Enjoy !
Interesting for dinner talk, but ultimately just another marketing tool for courses. Think about it...with the idea anchored VWAP, you could implement the hourly AVWAP, the daily AVWAP, the weekly, the monthly, the earnings, the quarterly and for each of those you could apply the standard deviations and created a cloud to indicate extreme movements that means oversold or overbought, and sprinkle some IV in there...... I trade naked. Just read a clean chart and follow the money. Anyway...good luck chasing the carrot guys.
The big multi million dollor traders control the house and up and down. The little poor traders control nothing and fight for the crumbs . . The house always win. That's why most day traders lose.

How long have you been trading?
When I use a historical volatility indicator, I've noticed that high volume tends to preceed changes in trend.

The vwap on trading view appears with a upper and lower band. What are those?
You can remove the upper and lower band in settings and keep just the VWAP
+/- One standard deviation lines
At 15:00 - Did anyone else notice the symbol for Apple is wrong.. It's actually AAPL; not APPL as displayed.

this is because of chart type that you are using as well as which time frame you want to look at, doesnt goes below 1 Day
