    Great score! That there is a KEEPER, and if not, you will make some good money flipping her! Go Seattle Speed Shop, keep moving forward!

    Matt, good seeing you doing so many quality videos. I nursed one of those Industrial Chryslers for many years at work planning to be the guy to salvage it when the time came. Unfortunately got laid up for a few months and the boss (i thought he was my friend)decided to scrap it out while i was sick. Oh well! Heard those had really high quality heads, great breathing with hardened valve seats.

    See the old pickup truck in the background, it would make the perfect engine for that or another old hotrod.. We used to go to an old junkyard and they had many old 331, 354 and and occasional 392 Hemi... Those days are gone.. Thx for bringing us along on another adventure...Take care my friend and God Bless....

      That truck is numbers matching! It will not be receiving a hemi transplant in my lifetime! Thanks for watching!

      I have a 32 frame as well...I'd hate to go backwards on any of the current builds. I'm thinking some new build. 😃

    westport wa.state here sir. pirates day's is o k. and 30 miles of junk is cool. anything and every thing is up for sale. and i mean anything. people move here to retirer and off everything not used any more. from records to wreck's
    had no idea there were any around here. but tacoma was the speed capital in the 70's
    all the g i 's were what started it all. hot rod's were in full power back then. the yellow submarine plymouth came from fort lewis. i actually saw it once. one that knows a good thing when he sees it is a good thing for the northwest. just keep going sir.

      It's cleaned up a bit already. I'm guessing it needs some run time. I'm not afraid to take it apart. inspect it. And if it's good enough, clean and put back together. Hopefully we get lucky

    Wow, always wanted one myself..... like a million other guys. You must be up hill a ways, no snow other side of the city. Dual points were to extend spark period, same as an MSD does. Sounds like good compression. Keep the engine for your own self cause soon as you let it go you'll trip over a good project for it. I never have that kind of luck.

      We're out in Skagit Valley now... Originally in Wallingford. We're in the Chuckanut foothills about 400ft above sea level. We get dumped on. I can go a quarter mile down the road and be 6ft above sea level and no snow. It's a really weird area.

    Sweet!! Early hemi's are cool. Do some research on the industrial engines though, there are definitely differences between them and the car engines that you need to know.

    From what I've been able to find out, the s/n of the Industrial Hemi was stamped on the left front (driver's side) of the block;
    which is where it is on the '56 331 Industrial that I have. Unfortunately, the front timing chain cover has to be removed to see it.

    unless something is missing it wasnt a propane eng but what a find .

    • @Seattle_Speed_Shop
      @Seattle_Speed_Shop  9 місяців тому

      Yeah. I was just going off a paper tag on it "propane?"....but they also thought it was a 1936 hemi...so obviously that stuff is incorrect and got it in my head it was propane at the start. As soon as I spent 30 seconds thinking about it, I realized it was wrong. I appreciate the the confirmation.

    Well duh, two six volt batteries make twelve volts.

    • @Seattle_Speed_Shop
      @Seattle_Speed_Shop  9 місяців тому

      I'd still have to pull one battery. It's a lot easier to pull a twelve volt from under the hood than a 6 volt from a car that needs the floor removed to get the battery out.
