Just replaced my pcm for all four o2 sensor codes ...fixed it.....2006 chrysler 300c....p0038 p0052 p0058 p0032...having the key out of ignition is important when installing new pcm..I had to drive 80 miles to reset pcm memory to sensor values and evap test..you have to do at least 2 to 3 cold starts for evap system to pass im monitors..great video..

I own a 08 charger r/t and had lost communication with the PCM last year after installing a aftermarket TB which then put it into to limp mode. From the headache I had since. Never go with plug and play it’s all BS and if anyone sees this comment I’m hoping it could help them from my mistakes. There 4 kinds of limpmodes I think. But no matter what 1 it is don’t drive it. PCM faults are caused from mechanical issues. Low fluids. Worn breaks, faulty ground wires. PCM replacement should only be done if it’s fried p357 code don’t quote me. Check your sensors,connectors,battery,alternator. But your DIY like me because I don’t trust shops anymore no disrespect to the honest shop owners. Get yourself a diagnostic scan tool that could read CAN BUS or NO CAN BUS. If any mods TB,CAI,exhaust the PCM will need to be reprogrammed which is called a stage 1 tune But physical check,test,volt,harnesses replace anything that has to be replaced.
Dodge/ Chrysler had this issue in these cars for 05 to 09 model years I’m currently going thru it right now with mine changed to all new parts changed ecm and bam issue fixed

Or have I seen that even installing LED lights can cause failures and my charger, the previous owner, put LED lights and removed catalysts and also put a high flow filter and spacer in the throttle body. @@mexiduty2519 hey man sorry for late reply and it's okay translation was okay lol. But I just got my pcm stage 1 tube which is just getting your pcm flashed back to factory. Stage 1 tube cost me 300$ 🇨🇦. The tube included tcm pcm and I forgot the other one but that's my guess is you need your pcm flashed. And I would recommend getting it flashed every mod you do but the more mods the more the tunes will be
On your PCM install video… since your switch it out have you had any problems with the PCM, the engine light coming back on, or your vehicle stalling???
He most likely did but I’m waiting for a reply from him on an update myself. PCM would be the last resort and wouldn’t recommend install one from the web
I’ve swapped my crankshaft and camshaft sensor , new coil packs new spark plugs . Had to send the pcm I bought from Carcomputerexchange back because the mechanic said it wasn’t grounding out the auto ignition shutdown coils . Just got the 2nd replacement pcm wish me luck y’all

Brand new fuel pump and sending unit too… I jumped the gun at first I didn’t follow the install procedures to the letter since I didn’t have a pcm in there . Going to try letting the battery unplugged over night then follow the procedure

There's a recall on the fuel tank purge valve..the dealer changes your fuel tank under recall for free..the dealer might charge diagnostic time ..when I filled my tank on my 06 300c it would stall when I first pulled away from gas station..if I don't fill my tank all they way up it would be ok...
I installed a plug and play refurbished pcm with my vin#, but now every time I start it up the alarm goes off for a couple minutes not sure what I should do with that 😕, I’m able to drive it but the alarm won’t stop. it’s still stalling and giving me those exact problems, I haven’t replaced the throttle body so soon hopefully that’s all it needs

hello man, my dodge charger 2008 have same problem. Car turns off randomly. My car showing PCM errors. I went to Dodge dealership they said they need to replace PCM module and also re-program the key and its damn expensive. can you give me your review, did it worked for you? does it need key-reprogram later on? or any issue you faced?
So my uncle (whom works at dodge) had told me the same thing about having to program the key. So I called the company I bought the PCM from and asked if it was necessary to have the key programmed, and they said “no” So I bought it and the car turned right on, as u see in this video. They just ask for you cars info and vin, and the pcm come programmed. It’s plug and play.
I would call the company I used and give them ur car info and ask if them if you’d have to program the key or not. And worst case scenario, is u can switch the pcm, and call a Car locksmith to go to u and program the key. But in my case I didn’t have to do that, the car turned right on
If its not too late, I would clean the iac and the throttle body, just use a paper towel and some throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner. This can be an easy fix for stalling
You probably should hve made sure the connections were clean before you plugged them in. The reason this is an issue is because of corrosion from water getting on the connectors. I think it's a really bad place for a PCM.
there was no actual problem with it. I think. I was having problems with my car randomly turning off, and thought maybe it could have something to do with the throttle. so I changed it just in case
Hi. I have a 2008 3.5 with the same stalling issue been goin on about a year now. Im super confident its the pcm im going to replace that because i think mine is completely burnt out. My car wont even start anymore. Its not my battery checked that. Ok another thing is my key doesnt unlock my doors or turn my alarm on anymore either for about the same amount of time ive had the stalling issue even after replacing the battery in key fob. Could the bad pcm be to blame for that too?
Well if you car, like mine, stalls whenever you’re at a red light/stop sign, and it turns back on after u turn off the car, then most likely it is ur pcm. If your car turns off as you’re driving it, it may be your alternator. I’d also check ur throttle body, to make sure it’s working well. And clean. As far as the key fob, I’ve actually never had problems with mine, so I couldn’t comment, but I’d advise u to just hit up a key smith. U can prob find a inexpensive one on offer up. A lot of the times, they can come to you. Which i recommend, cause they can come to ur house, in which I assume u have family around so they won’t do any shady 💩

Update on my car. I found a pcm with lifetime warranty at flagship one inc. But that wasn't the problem. It was actually my WIN module. It's a common problem it goes out but it also makes your car stall out. My key fob stopped working to unlock my doors and turn on alarm a while before it finally went out and wouldn't start anymore. Make sure you purchase an Original Mopar win module for a smooth reprogram of your key fobs...that's what I bought and my locksmith was very happy because it was way easier to program it.

I had the same exact issue, got a new programmed pcm and everything went back to normal for about a month. This past week the red lightning bolt started flashing and has gotten much worse. So I took it to the mechanic and he said it’s the pcm again. Any idea as to why this many have happened? Yeah I took out the throttle body yesterday after work and cleaned it out and then put it back in because I was thinking the same thing, but it didn’t change anything. So i took it to the mechanic and they said they checked the alternator, throttle body, and that neither are the issue. They told me it’s the pcm acting up again I just don’t know how it happened
So my car, that I just got is also having this issue and during inspection, I noticed that someone has pulled the PCM before, and that it was painted. Now watching your Video I realize its painted just like yours! Its been spray painted black, and has runs in the paint! I dont know when it was replaced, I bought the car from a guy who didnt have it long, and before that there was another owner (the OG owner). It didnt stall on my test drive, and when I asked the person I bought it from after, they claimed it never stalled for them, but did tell me it needed a new TB, so I aint buying that!
Yea I replaced the throttle before I bought the pcm. (The video is on my channel) But it still stalled on me, that’s y I was forced to get the new pcm. On my car sometimes it would got weeks without stalling. Then out of nowhere just stall everyday, and stop again. It’s a weird problem.
@@ChargerDriven Ya so when I bought mine it didn't do it first 3 days, now it does it every single time and stalls 3-4 times everytime. It stalled 8 times in the process of trying to park at Walmart the other day. I also noticed something, When I took apart mine as it is painted Black, and has no stickers. The Model of the PCM is on the board and shell FS1 wants the Model, so I called the Dealer and asked about the number I had in there, and what my number was. Not only is it not the right number, the PCM they put in mine is for a 3.6l.... IDK who they bought it from, or who's fault the issue is, the guy trying to buy a 100 dollar 3.6l PCM because those are going for 100, and the 5.7l is going for 450. Or if the company did it for saving $$$. The person I bought it from is still denying ever messing with the computer or the stalling issue, even now when It's my problem.

@@jinkazama3024 tough to say. Cause my problem was mainly it would stall when at a stop light, but I would be able to turn off the car, then start it back up. And while I was driving it would sometimes TRY TO STALL, but never actually turn off completely, unless I’d come to a stop. So not too sure why yours turns off as your driving. Sorry.
@@jinkazama3024 I’d start by removing ur throttle body, and cleaning it out. Then driving it to see if it helps. If it does help a bit, then it may be a bad throttle. The pcm is a bit more expensive, but it seemed to fixed my problem, so it’s up to u, if u wanna buy and check to see if that fixes it. Also, u should change your crankshaft sensor!

It actually did for me. But tbh it can be a few different things that can be making it stall. I’ve talked to other ppl with the same problem and they’ve replaced their pcm and they still had that problem. I was just lucky that it fixed wen I replaced it

Yea it did fix the problem. I also had replaced the throttle body as well. So I’d check that too. But so far it’s been good. I know how embarrassing that shit is. I was driving like this for months. What id do is when it stalls, I’d put it on neutral, and restart. It’s SUCKS!
@@adrianvalencia5985 not as much as the pcm I think I bought the throttle for around 225$ cause it came with a lifetime warranty from autozone. And you can switch it out yourself. I have a video showing how I did it
What do u mean by “PCM numbers”? Cause all u need, if u use the company that I used, is your vehicles vin number. That’s on your windshield, and your registration. The company I used is linked in the bio

@@lilninja4212 oh yea idk about that but u as long as you don’t unplug any wires off the pcm, it isn’t necessary to unplug ur battery. But if u just want to be safe, then go ahead and remove u battery cables.

My car is running fine. Not perfect. I have some new mechanical problems, but this time I think it’s transmission related. Which isn’t good. But as far as the pcm, and the stalling issue; that’s gone.
I have the same stalling issue. 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona RT 5.7. This seems to be a common problem with Dodge. They should be made to do a recall to fix this issue. Looks like I'm buying a PCM.
@@ChargerDriven I'm gonna try cleaning the PCM first. I was told that since they had the bright idea to put the PCM under the hood where it can get wet, it may be corrosion built up on it. Use only electrical cleaner & spray the pins & connectors. Gonna try a $15 can of cleaner before I spend $1,500 on a PCM.

@@ChargerDriven yeah i just cleaned a few cables with electric cleaner yesterday and just was informed that this whole time people think its the pcm but its very common that an ASD relay switch needs to be replaced in your fuse box
I have an issue where some fuel injectors arnt working, after switching all injectors same problem occurred, I’m being told it’s the pcm but I’m going to give the asd relay a try
Damn. Check your throttle. Pull it out and clean it. Then drive and see if it helps at all. If it runs better, then you may have to replace ur throttle.
@@Stunna-440 I did everything right ain't had no problem. But thought my fuel pump went out car acted like it wanted to start never did. I replaced pump 1 time still wouldn't work because I needed the new made pump with the wiring harness that you have to change out. Had to cut wires harness from the old pump connect wires in the right order put new pump in again still nothing. Last thing I did was check the fuel pump fuse #20 in the trunk it looked bad and it looked good depending how you looked at so I decided it was bad changed it out pump came on car started up running strong since then and I did the PCM and pump myself not ever paying somebody to do that type of stuff again. Unless it's putting a motor or transmission in that's when somebody can do that part. Anything else I'm doing. Note: if you ever order a PCM from anyone make sure it's programmed and updated with your vin# they took over a month to send mines cause they had to go back and do something I was pretty much like don't send it to me until you have it right. They finally did! and it's right
Since I replaced the pcm, I haven’t had problems with stalling anymore. But I also changed the throttle. Not sure if it was just the pcm or a combination of both.

I’m having the same problem. I change my Throttlebody already Full body tuneup coils, Val, sensors. The only thing is the pcm now. I was goin to get it from fs1inc.com because it has a lifetime warranty.
Yea the site that I got mine from offers lifetime warranty as well. Make sure to clean out you pcm connectors as well. Something as small as that can be making your car stall.

@@cyberlocc I have a video knnjh channel on how to replace the throttle. Go watch that to see how to remove it. Once y remove it, clean it up with a degreaser, and re-instal it. Then drive it around and see if it drives better, if you still have stalling issues, it may be something else. If it’s driving better, I may signify that you need to replace your throttle. (From my experience)
@@ChargerDriven Ya I already did all that. No difference, that's why I was asking if there was a way to test it. Don't think that's it for me, because I get u0100 codes, in the TCM sometimes, with the stall, and others just a U0100 that gets wiped after turning car off. It's indicative of a PCM failing, just figured I would try.

Btw you did it wrong disconnect negative wait 30 minutes with positive still connected then take off the positive and wait 30 minutes 🤦 it has to cycle all the electric back into the battery and out of the whole system 🤦🫣

hello man, my dodge charger 2008 have same problem. Car turns off randomly. My car showing PCM errors. I went to Dodge dealership they said they need to replace PCM module and also re-program the key and its damn expensive. can you give me your review, did it worked for you? does it need key-reprogram later on? or any issue you faced?
So my uncle (whom works at dodge) had told me the same thing about having to program the key.
So I called the company I bought the PCM from and asked if it was necessary to have the key programmed, and they said “no”
So I bought it and the car turned right on, as u see in this video.
They just ask for you cars info and vin, and the pcm come programmed. It’s plug and play.
I would call the company I used and give them ur car info and ask if them if you’d have to program the key or not.
And worst case scenario, is u can switch the pcm, and call a Car locksmith to go to u and program the key. But in my case I didn’t have to do that, the car turned right on

If its not too late, I would clean the iac and the throttle body, just use a paper towel and some throttle body cleaner or carb cleaner. This can be an easy fix for stalling

You probably should hve made sure the connections were clean before you plugged them in. The reason this is an issue is because of corrosion from water getting on the connectors. I think it's a really bad place for a PCM.

Hi. I have a 2008 3.5 with the same stalling issue been goin on about a year now. Im super confident its the pcm im going to replace that because i think mine is completely burnt out. My car wont even start anymore. Its not my battery checked that.
Ok another thing is my key doesnt unlock my doors or turn my alarm on anymore either for about the same amount of time ive had the stalling issue even after replacing the battery in key fob. Could the bad pcm be to blame for that too?
Well if you car, like mine, stalls whenever you’re at a red light/stop sign, and it turns back on after u turn off the car, then most likely it is ur pcm.
If your car turns off as you’re driving it, it may be your alternator.
I’d also check ur throttle body, to make sure it’s working well. And clean.
As far as the key fob, I’ve actually never had problems with mine, so I couldn’t comment, but I’d advise u to just hit up a key smith.
U can prob find a inexpensive one on offer up.
A lot of the times, they can come to you.
Which i recommend, cause they can come to ur house, in which I assume u have family around so they won’t do any shady 💩

Update on my car. I found a pcm with lifetime warranty at flagship one inc. But that wasn't the problem. It was actually my WIN module. It's a common problem it goes out but it also makes your car stall out. My key fob stopped working to unlock my doors and turn on alarm a while before it finally went out and wouldn't start anymore. Make sure you purchase an Original Mopar win module for a smooth reprogram of your key fobs...that's what I bought and my locksmith was very happy because it was way easier to program it.

I had the same exact issue, got a new programmed pcm and everything went back to normal for about a month. This past week the red lightning bolt started flashing and has gotten much worse. I’d assume it’s the throttle body
Pull out ur throttle body and clean it out, and put it back in and see if your car runs a bit better, if it does, then I’d invest in a new throttle

Yeah I took out the throttle body yesterday after work and cleaned it out and then put it back in because I was thinking the same thing, but it didn’t change anything. So i took it to the mechanic and they said they checked the alternator, throttle body, and that neither are the issue. They told me it’s the pcm acting up again I just don’t know how it happened

So my car, that I just got is also having this issue and during inspection, I noticed that someone has pulled the PCM before, and that it was painted.
Now watching your Video I realize its painted just like yours! Its been spray painted black, and has runs in the paint! I dont know when it was replaced, I bought the car from a guy who didnt have it long, and before that there was another owner (the OG owner).
It didnt stall on my test drive, and when I asked the person I bought it from after, they claimed it never stalled for them, but did tell me it needed a new TB, so I aint buying that!

On my car sometimes it would got weeks without stalling. Then out of nowhere just stall everyday, and stop again. It’s a weird problem.
@@ChargerDriven Ya so when I bought mine it didn't do it first 3 days, now it does it every single time and stalls 3-4 times everytime. It stalled 8 times in the process of trying to park at Walmart the other day.
I also noticed something, When I took apart mine as it is painted Black, and has no stickers. The Model of the PCM is on the board and shell FS1 wants the Model, so I called the Dealer and asked about the number I had in there, and what my number was.
Not only is it not the right number, the PCM they put in mine is for a 3.6l.... IDK who they bought it from, or who's fault the issue is, the guy trying to buy a 100 dollar 3.6l PCM because those are going for 100, and the 5.7l is going for 450. Or if the company did it for saving $$$. The person I bought it from is still denying ever messing with the computer or the stalling issue, even now when It's my problem.

Cause my problem was mainly it would stall when at a stop light, but I would be able to turn off the car, then start it back up.
And while I was driving it would sometimes TRY TO STALL, but never actually turn off completely, unless I’d come to a stop.
So not too sure why yours turns off as your driving.

Then driving it to see if it helps.
If it does help a bit, then it may be a bad throttle.
The pcm is a bit more expensive, but it seemed to fixed my problem, so it’s up to u, if u wanna buy and check to see if that fixes it.
Also, u should change your crankshaft sensor!

I think I bought the throttle for around 225$ cause it came with a lifetime warranty from autozone.
And you can switch it out yourself.

But if u just want to be safe, then go ahead and remove u battery cables.

I have the same stalling issue. 2006 Dodge Charger Daytona RT 5.7. This seems to be a common problem with Dodge. They should be made to do a recall to fix this issue. Looks like I'm buying a PCM.

@@ChargerDriven I'm gonna try cleaning the PCM first. I was told that since they had the bright idea to put the PCM under the hood where it can get wet, it may be corrosion built up on it. Use only electrical cleaner & spray the pins & connectors. Gonna try a $15 can of cleaner before I spend $1,500 on a PCM.

@@ChargerDriven yeah i just cleaned a few cables with electric cleaner yesterday and just was informed that this whole time people think its the pcm but its very common that an ASD relay switch needs to be replaced in your fuse box

Pull it out and clean it.
Then drive and see if it helps at all.
If it runs better, then you may have to replace ur throttle.

@@Stunna-440 I did everything right ain't had no problem. But thought my fuel pump went out car acted like it wanted to start never did. I replaced pump 1 time still wouldn't work because I needed the new made pump with the wiring harness that you have to change out. Had to cut wires harness from the old pump connect wires in the right order put new pump in again still nothing. Last thing I did was check the fuel pump fuse #20 in the trunk it looked bad and it looked good depending how you looked at so I decided it was bad changed it out pump came on car started up running strong since then and I did the PCM and pump myself not ever paying somebody to do that type of stuff again. Unless it's putting a motor or transmission in that's when somebody can do that part. Anything else I'm doing.
Note: if you ever order a PCM from anyone make sure it's programmed and updated with your vin# they took over a month to send mines cause they had to go back and do something I was pretty much like don't send it to me until you have it right. They finally did! and it's right

You’d just have to order the pcm for your specific car.

The ones I had here are originally chrome, and I plastic dipped them black, but the paint doesn’t stick.
Eventually the paint comes off…

Make sure to clean out you pcm connectors as well.

Go watch that to see how to remove it. Once y remove it, clean it up with a degreaser, and re-instal it.
Then drive it around and see if it drives better, if you still have stalling issues, it may be something else.
If it’s driving better, I may signify that you need to replace your throttle.

No difference, that's why I was asking if there was a way to test it. Don't think that's it for me, because I get u0100 codes, in the TCM sometimes, with the stall, and others just a U0100 that gets wiped after turning car off.
It's indicative of a PCM failing, just figured I would try.

Btw you did it wrong disconnect negative wait 30 minutes with positive still connected then take off the positive and wait 30 minutes 🤦 it has to cycle all the electric back into the battery and out of the whole system 🤦🫣
