  • I got a new tool for my knife making - an adjustable knife grinding jig from Rapid Tools and Consumables (uktools.tools/) - The first knife i tried this on is a tanto style buschcraft knife, which will now need to be handled. This video shows my first efforts at using it, what I found in how to use a knife grinding jig, and the improvements I want to make, that is part of our journey in how to make a knife.

New shed should be arriving next month, so they'll all start again then! Sorry for the delay!

    Hi buddy
    How’s things?
I think you need to move your platen forward buddy to much flex in your belt.
Just a learning curve jigs I am not a massive fan of them, only when doing scandi grinds.
Definitely a positive it being adjustable when you have a fixed platen.
Good luck with the move .
    Regards
    Davy
