I knew the first time I listened to Rob's work that he was legendary. That was 9th grade, 1982, in Bath, Maine. My best friend through trying years...we've lost some, we've won many, our friendship endures. Thanks Rob and God Bless. Rick
Just discovered Rob. A great find, truly Excellent. I can’t get enough of his playing mastery and the range of sounds here. Such precision and control.
I heard Pictures of Lulu on DISH Network's Aura channel, and I am glad to have discovered Rob Eberhard Young. His guitar playing and writing is real Art, and I hope he makes more, despite conflicts with recording companies. Pictures of Lulu is a golden song of mysterious and sad beauty
Rob did a follow up to S & S called Speak! - unfortunately, the record was shelved by the record company in a mass of red tape and Rob cannot even do what he wants with his own music. I have talked to him a few times, he is a really cool and all. To my dismay, Rob has indicated that he isn't interested in the music business any longer as it has turned into big business rather than about the music. It is a shame as he is a great creative guitarist with a nice unique style.
