This hit me home today because this is everything I have been struggling with very intensely for the past 6 weeks. I’ve struggled with it before and was able to over come it but now it seems like any little amount of motivation I let my anxiety portion of my mind take over and shut it down. I'm just getting started with a channel, and even though I stay home with my daughter, I see lengths of time pass without any progress made on my videos. I am here with you because I've been trying so hard to get my true self to show through my videos, and gain the courage to show more of my raw self with others! I can't tell you how much I relate to this. I used to push myself to vlog, until I realised that wasn't what inspired me. I wanted to make sure I was making videos for the right reasons, instead of forcing myself to do things to make a video. I wanted the video to make itself not make myself do a video. I now find though that I have all these ideas but I don't do them. Once in a while when I'm challenged by something or especially motivated, I will make a video but otherwise, I sit on all the ideas I have and I don't know why. When I create and edit, I get a feeling that I don't get from anything else. I get a sense of pride in what I do and it's truly one of the only things I do that I feel confident in doing, yet my fear and low self confidence won't allow me to go out there in the first place and actually get the camera out. I'm very proud of you for having that courage.
Last year I made a promise to make at least one video a month - and I did! It felt so good to be create something that I was happy with! This year, I'm having so many ideas, but I'm struggling to get them done. However, I'm going to do the same as you and do what I really want to do. You go, Collette! Yes! I’m also trying to be courageous this year and do the things so truly desire. I started a 100 day project for drawing and painting and 16 days in I feel amazing. I still have a lot to learn but just proving to myself I do have time and I can do this is phenomenal.

I have so much love and respect for you! I can relate to fear and how it holds us back...I think it's hard for others to truly grasp how paralyzing and depressing it can be. That invisible wall that's so hard to push through...sometimes I'm very successful at dealing with my fears and it's empowering. No matter how many victories, fear still seems to dictate how I feel...mentally, emotionally, and physically. Wishing you all the best and keeping you in my prayers. I can't tell you how much I relate to this. I used to push myself to vlog, until I realised that wasn't what inspired me. I wanted to make sure I was making videos for the right reasons, instead of forcing myself to do things to make a video. I wanted the video to make itself not make myself do a video. I now find though that I have all these ideas but I don't do them. Once in a while when I'm challenged by something or especially motivated, I will make a video but otherwise, I sit on all the ideas I have and I don't know why. When I create and edit, I get a feeling that I don't get from anything else. I get a sense of pride in what I do and it's truly one of the only things I do that I feel confident in doing, yet my fear and low self confidence won't allow me to go out there in the first place and actually get the camera out. I'm very proud of you for having that courage.
Last year I made a promise to make at least one video a month - and I did! It felt so good to be create something that I was happy with! This year, I'm having so many ideas, but I'm struggling to get them done. However, I'm going to do the same as you and do what I really want to do.

Yes! I’m also trying to be courageous this year and do the things so truly desire. I started a 100 day project for drawing and painting and 16 days in I feel amazing. I still have a lot to learn but just proving to myself I do have time and I can do this is phenomenal.
