    As much as I love the kids... I actually do prefer listening to Colette and the things she has to say. The adorable children are just extra cuteness. Even with the vlogs I often found myself more drawn to the clips where Colette or Shay talked almost one on one and gave advice

      If you listened to Shay's advice, just know he was spouting stuff he'd read. What he says, and what he does, are two completely different things.

      I always...wanted to see Colette..in the Shaytards anyway..I was always waiting for Colette's part of the puzzle..so the rest of the vlog was fine...but really Colette has a great message..I TEARED up seeing you share your journey with us..I HAVE the SAME "inner bully"...(of course we all do)...and I love how Colette teaches in such a vulnerable way. LOVE YOU COLETTE! please keep the videos coming don't let your inner bully shut it down..your "free writing" idea...is really helpful actually for me...I want to try that..I also had a horrific family destruction event in 2016...and the anxiety was THROUGH THE ROOF!..and although I am feeling more normalish now..I don't think it is too late for some free writing...
      I feel like you are an earth angel...and earth angels don't always walk smooth paths...

    i feel bad for collette. i mean she tried so hard to get her life back together and people are still hating on her. yes she is still with shay but only because she believes that they can fix their relationship and their trust. she is a smart person that knows how to make her own decisions. she must have taken a lot of time to think about what she wanted to happen. i personally think that she made a good decision because they were once happy and i definitely think that they can be happy again if they both put in the work.
    love you so much collette! you are a huge inspiration for me because i have had a lot of fear and anxiety in my life but this will definitely help me make better decisions.

Colette knows that Shay is sincerely sorry so she has given him a second chance after the huge mistake he has made. That shows that colette really loves Shay and really believes in him and in their relationship

    Collette, when you guys stopped the Shaytards and things had happened, I was worried for you. I had watched your family forever and I didn't wanna see you hurt. When you had stopped uploading I was sad but wondered if I would ever hear from you again. A few months ago I was cleaning out my UA-cam subscriptions and I almost un followed your channel but just couldn't... And then you came back. I'm so happy you did. These videos are amazing and I feel like you really found your calling. I'm saving this video to my favorites and I'll be re watching and re watching over and over. I'd love to see a video of your favorite self help books. I'm struggling right now, I'm struggling with my weight and my life. I have PTSD and depression from that. I developed an eating disorder I've had it for many years now. I work to much to go to counseling. My work schedule doesn't work with my drs schedule so back in February I had to stop all medication for my PTSD and depression because I couldn't go to appts. From then on I've just struggled so much. I honestly would rather end my life than keep going. Ur videos really help and I want you to know ur amazing. Hope you guys had a wonderful Halloween and have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas ❤️❤️❤️

    I genuinely hope you and your children are happy. I hope you aren’t just staying and working through things because you feel like you have to. Do what makes you happy. Not an idea of what makes you happy, not what once made you happy, but what makes you happy now and what will make you happy. You and your children’s health is what’s most important. Don’t force this happiness is a choice, self help book and podcast idea of being happy go-lucky crap, but be sincerely happy.

      Camille Cosmo Something tells me you wouldn't want to say this exact same comment to Shay? They both deserve happiness. Regardless, your thoughts on her and the children do not line up with their beliefs. Their priorities are in this order: 1. God 2. Spouse 3. Children. People hated this, when she said it, but I am sure she still believes this.

    I haven't commented on a video before, but I've been thinking about it for at least a month. I wanted to say thank you, Colette, for being a genuinely good person and for being yourself. I really admire you. When I was a teen and young adult, I searched for a long time to find a good adult role model (and a good family role model), and then I randomly came across the Shaytards channel years ago and it was exactly what I needed... and I passed it on to others who I thought were looking for the same thing. Watching your family helped me see that stability and happiness are possible in a family. I've loved seeing you post these last two videos on your channel after a hard time. It's real, and I appreciate it. I miss hearing from you, as you were the person I most looked forward to watching on the Shaytards (since I most relate to you). Years later, I now have my own youtube channel about my family, and I'm trying to be the person that my younger self would have wanted to find (like I found the Shaytards). I just wanted to say thank you, and I'm sorry people write crappy comments and I hope this one helps. You really helped me, for years, to have something to aspire to in adulthood. I stand by you and I trust you to make the best decisions for you, as you've taught me to do for me. I don't know you, but I'm grateful that you shared yourself openly on this platform.
    Thank you for showing me you. 💖

    I know that this is just one comment from an unknown face, but if by some chance you ever see this Colette I want to thank you. Thank you for being real. Thank you for being an example of someone that I strive to emulate. I didn't follow your channel to watch your kids (as much as I have enjoyed watching them grow up), I followed this channel to watch YOU; To listen to the things that you have to say and the wisdom you have to impart. You are such a kind and positive soul - something that this world needs so much more of. You are a beacon of hope to me. I have watched you on some of my darkest days and you've given me the hope, fight, and strength to keep going. And so much more. So thank you from the very bottom of my heart. ❤

    I’ve been a fan a long time. I think since I was only 13. No matter what the outcome is, I wish nothing but love and happiness for you and your family. Maybe that’s a bit of a grandma thing to write, but I genuinely mean it. There is love and support for you, too. Your fame and love is not solely derived from your husband. That being said, I also wish him the best of luck. I have seen my loved ones experience addiction first hand. It is a nasty beast and I hope he can find solace with himself. The fact that he is trying to change is a start. I hope he can and can continue to be strong.

    Hi Colette! I just wanted to say how inspiring you have been for me all of these years that I've been watching your videos. Years ago when you were shooting your Katilette videos in LA, those videos helped me SO much during that time, i even uploaded them on my iPod to listen to when i went on walks. I was going through such a rough time with my family, i even commented on one of your videos expressing some of the hard times i went through and you replied with such love that i truly call you my second mom. I actually just went through those videos now, and seeing how much you changed is incredible, what's more incredible is how much I changed too! I feel more connected to the Colette now, you feel more raw and real to me, all of the self love and meditating, that is something I'm striving for at this moment, I'm definitely a little hippie now. Anyways i just wanted to say i love you, and thank you for coming back, because I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way about you! ❤️

    I've watched the shaytards since back in 2008 and i've missed each of you terribly since the videos stopped. This video and the last one you uploaded have helped me more than I thought I could be helped. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos and for trying to help people when I know it must be hard to sort through rude and insensitive comments.

    There is a lot of hate in a lot of the comments that I've seen. But Colette just know there are still lots of us who love and support you. Obviously you have been going through a really rough time but you are so strong, you are incredible, and inspirational, and an amazing person no matter what some people think. Just know that I love you and support you in everything you do, and so do a lot of others.❤️

    • @iBeFloe
      @iBeFloe 6 років тому

      It's not so much hate as it is people being upset that she's so blind.
      Of COURSE she can make her own decisions.
      It's HER life, but it's very disheartening watching a woman you watched for years on YT stay with someone because
      1) Her religion. I get she's religious, but there's no way God would ever judge her for divorcing a man who hurt his family with no regard for them.
      Look at Shay's sister. She did it. She's completely fine.
      2) She thinks she HAS to stay as a "good wife" because that's what this is all really coming down to the more she talks. As a "good wife" she should "forgive" him. As a good wife she should let go of HER dreams. What SHE wanted. EVERYTHING that she ever strived for. She has to give up EVERYTHING & make herself believe that THIS is how she'll be together with Shay again. There's no reason for HER to change herself or her dreams because of Shay's actions.
      3) Dependency. She's dependent. That's just a fact. She's not AS strong as you or she believes she it. Shay's the one who brought the family to YT. The one who made the clothing line. The one who brought in the bread ($$$). He's the one that she's been with for 10 yrs + & he is ALL that she knows.
      She's doing what everyone else would do in a long-term relationship. Make every single excuse she can in order to stay in that normalcy. (ie. change herself to allow herself to accept HIS HUGE mistakes against her family)
      It's just sad dude. It's not hate. More comments are telling her that they're concerned about her staying with Shay than there are "oh you're so dumb".

      Amanda Cypert gosh I'm the same with my boyfriend. I've been with him now for 9 years and can't even imagine life without him and I get severe anxiety EVERYDAY about him dying or something bad happening. my anxiety gets worse daily cos I feel like everyday there's more chance of something going wrong cos it didn't yesterday (if that makes sense). Also with my mum and brother.

I have anxiety and i'm always thinking negative and fear. I have along with anxiety I suffer from PTSD and OCD (ptsd from emotional and verbal abuse). Hi!! When I was a young teenager I used to watch shayrards every day, and just smile with y'all, and dream of a perfect family. Sadly I didn't get my perfect family back then. But I always watched and dreamed for the future anyway. The crisis between you and Shay brought me back to your channels as an adult because it felt more relatable to me, and I've gotta say, you are so inspiring. I wouldn't mind just listening to your thoughts and advise and feelings every day before work because here I am today feeling pepped up and positive. That kind of energy radiates from you through hardship

    Gosh, Colette, you really are so wonderful. Everything you've been putting out lately here and on the Mom's View have been so lovely and inspirational. Everything you've been saying has given me thoughts on how to change my negative thoughts and hope that I can come to a better place than I'm in now. You're so right, fear leads to so many hurtful things and I want to join you on this path and change that response. This was awesome, you are awesome, and I love that you've been able to touch on my thoughts and insecurities and issues that I've been dealing with lately in every video you've made or been apart of since you came back. Really looking forward to the next one!

    I love shaytards don’t get me wrong . I miss the vlogs and stuff but I feel like we as fans shouldn’t always be asking them to come back! They will when they want to and if they don’t come back then that’s ok!Too many haters man! It wouldn’t be the same with all the negative comments. It’s kind of like when your favorite show ends. I cried so much when Friends was over but there’s that’s what reruns are for lol ♥️

      They can't come back, it will not work, they are done PERIOD, UA-cam has already changed so much since they left that they are not only not relevant in the least anymore, but people have moved on to new families, new and different content, etc. It's like a popular TV show that went off the air and tries to make some half ass attempt at re igniting a flame that doesn't exist.

    • @RoastedPixelz
      @RoastedPixelz 6 років тому +1

      They have 5mill subscribers, do it without the comment section, whatever. I bet they would still pull an easy 200k views. With people moving to different families etc, they subscribed for the content that Shaytards supplied and im sure many like myself will stick around.
