Amazing, great video. Now i can use this on my dad's 2nd 1969 Camaro since we were wondering what that is. My dad has a 1969 z/28 Camaro all original and a 1969 ss Camaro convertible. Now we can solve the mystery that my dad was trying to figure out for almost 35-40 years. Thanks!
@@tonyjohnson3108 the convertible is not for sale, it has alot of family memories with it, the z/28 is not for sale yet, but it depends on how much he’s willing to get for it, a little rust spots it, but that’s what you get when you have a classic car, no other way around it
@@KhaiMahase I would be interested in the z/28.. my dad has one 1969 z/28 has had it for about 20 years now. It’s been fully restored and is in pristine condition! Absolutely love that car, now trying to get one of my own and do the same. Do you have a better way of contact? I’d like to see some pics and I can make you a cash offer in as is condition!
I am a member of Nasty Z-28 club. I had a numbers matching 1970 SS 396 L-78, but sold it in 2001. My present Camaro is the other BB Camaro for 1970 SS396 L-34, also numbers matching.
I ordered my 93 Z28 several months before they went into production, now that I have owned the car for over 29 years I decided to try and figure out what number my car was when it rolled off the line, I would think it would be one of the first Z28's, but they did have to produce the 5 speed Indy pace cars first.
My first car was a 70 green on green with a 307, it was lighter too. I had one of the better 307s, ran like a scalded dog, no smoke issues. I miss mine too!
The orinal trim model doesn’t really matter at this point and probably saved a lot of money than if you would have bought the Z28 but I know your going to make this look and perform great 👍🏽
You pointed to a firewall tag for reference towards the dash instrument location? Were you referring to the one near the blower motor? Or; is there another one that you have found? Looking for hidden vin locations. Thanks!
how do i find the vin on my dads 1969 z/28 camaro and his 1969 ss camaro convertible?? Do you know where they are, are they in the same place as yours?
Anybody know how to Identify a 1969 Rally Sport Camaro? I’m confused on what the trim tag identification should indicate. Any help will be appreciated.
What's up Lethal. Noticed you got a car cover on the 6th gen outside there. As someone who has their car outside normally is there a cover you recommend or use to keep the SS clean? Keep up the great work, love the 2nd gen videos!
Not sure I know of one that will truly last. Saw a company at SEMA but for got their name. My cover is mainly for indoors, but just was trying to keep dirt and bee crap off the car
Just bought a 78' camaro the seller hasn't hid anything from me but the title says it's an RS and he says he knows it's a z28. So is there a chance it's actually a z28 or is it 100% an RS because that's what's on the title?
I just bought a 2000 camaro convertible v6 3800 and when at idle there is a rattle noise from under the car, it goes away as soon as I accelerate, im pretty sure its the heat shield exhaust can anyone help explain how to fix it? Also how do I know what camaro i have if there is no model letter on the rear
I have a 91 Camaro. Does anyone know what the code is on the radiator support? Did they all have one? Some 1992 don't have anything. Just the holes. Did it vary by plant? I can't post pic on here but it reads. 05. 048051 That's all it says. Not a FULL size cowl tag at all. Any thoughts?? Wish I could post a pic of it here.
On a site that shows information on a trim tag for1971 camaro, some tags were not stamped with Z28 from the plant in Ohio.. what can you do to verify it’s a true z28
Jesse Brake a low body vin number and early production date( pre May) is usually a indication. Another thing is true Zs have a rear sway bar . So the mounts should exist on the rear frame rails.
So how much is to much to spend on a Camero the isn’t numbers matching. I see the word clone and tribute thrown around and figure they aren’t numbers matching. And I don’t want to over pay.

Would one of those Camaros be for sale? I’d like to make a cash offer!

Love the look of the 2nd Generation!

My 70 was the lighter green with the green interior; someone had painted it white. I miss that car.

Great info - just checked the tag on my 76 Camaro --- thanks !!!
I guess I'm weird, but I like the green on green color scheme.........
Don’t feel weird, I just dislike it
In 71 the bottom row of numbers indicate vehicle options [Rally Sport bumpers ,lights ,spoilers ,instrument package gauges ,tachometer

Holy fuck, aug 17 is my birthday. You got a good car man

The green Camaro in the video looks very similar to my 1972. "Green to Go"...
Great video Matt keep up the good work!! 👍🏻👍🏻
I love it my bro keep up work and love video 💯💯💯👍

Check where the AC goes on the fire wall under the hood there should be a Vin there. My 79 Z has it stamped there as well.
Yup
Where else?

The vin will tell you
If it's a true z
if the body tag/fender tag has been removed, is there any other way to find out this info?
My car is missing that ID on the engine
'778' is SADDLE interior.
'777' is the green vinyl interior (which is what i have)
Does it actually tell you the trim tho? Like z28, SS, etc. mine just says it’s built in CA van nuys with a. V8
Only in the case of a Z/28

Great video thanks lethal 👍🏻
Why did u buy a 71 camaro shell to rebuild? Are they nice cars when they're built?
71 Camaro is a nice car any way you slice it.
I had that horrible 307 in my 1969 Nova! Timing chain broke on it..
How do I know the color of my 1973 Camaro
2018 Camaro SS 1LE with 10300 miles and a 1968 Camaro
Sup bro this @15camaross also-me video bro 2nd in the comments lol thumbs up for lethalCamaro
