I never new my dad until I was 18 years old, I went and found him.i wasn't missing much a world class a##hole who cared about nobody but himself . We as adults are able to create our own identity and embrace the lives we want for ourselves inspite of the past.

Thankfully my dad changed, came back and became a fuller part of my life and still remains one. Like I say in the video I live with him for 6 years and we have a very good relationship. A lot of our experiences as younger people are similar as well,. that's why I always mention him. I agree with the last part of your statement as well.

I have no-doubt your great-great-great grandmother is proud of you as she watches from heaven. Here's hoping your channel grows infinitesimally! 😊

I am sorry your dad was weak, morally. I can't imagine leaving my child behind.

It's alright. He came back which is a good thing. But that's why I'm determined to not let him or any of the cultural standards from my community affect me.

Hi, dear. Instead of the negative things which happened in your life. try to.concentrate on positive things which happened or will happen with you. YOUR BIGGEST STRENGTH IS OF.COURSE YOUR FAMILY ESPECIALLY YOUR MOTHER WHO MUST HAVE GONE THROUGH IMMENSE HARDSHIP TO RAISE YOU AND MAKE YOU A FINE PERSON. You are already a blessed one. for being a citizen of US of A.

Thanks. One thing is though I'm actually not a citizen... Yet. I will become one in January or February hopefully. Still, I appreciate your comment. I actually have a good relationship with my father now, since, as I said in the video he came back. I'm trying to focus on the good, it's hard though!

It happens across classes, yes- but disproportionately higher numbers in the black community.
