The criticisms i hear regarding China pretty much always have to do with the Chinese government and not the people (which i think is fair personally. I’m ashamed of my own government too). If i hear anything negative about a Chinese person living here, its because they haven’t adapted to the culture yet and are doing things that seem extremely odd to Canadians. I think thats more of a cultural thing than a race thing. But white people are all called evil racists who propagated all oppression in the world, regardless of age or their actual actions. I just wish my People could be more into doing things than waiting for Europe to pay us for not doing anything. It just goes against what we are as Portuguese - we are about solutions to problems, but we are being paid by the EU not to do anything. it is really sad to see my people and culture being bought to give up on themselves. The Portuguese hardly 'controlled the World' - explored and founded a dozen or so Colonies and outposts, Yes. Controlled, No. Compared to the British Empire - which did control much of the World and was the biggest Empire ever - the Portuguese barely made a dent.
I say the above not to belittle the Portuguese; Portugal and Spain with their their Navigational brilliance, courage and will to explore paved the way for the British Empires existence and this should be acknowledged. With that said - Britain is a fraction of the size of either Portugal or Spain - so, what made them succeed where they failed?

The problem is always when meyn are too spineless to keep woe-meyn's influence in check that society becomes frivolous and melodramatic and dependent on cosmetics and decepetion and disguise and performance. Happened in the victorian era leading up to WWI. Happened before the french revolution. happened at the end of rome and prior to the fall of greece in athens. Happened ot the Russian monarchy/emprise before it's bloody usurpation by another extreme group of estogen-led delusionists (called commies). I'm not against white people, but as a black physicist working with many scientists from various backgrounds at one of the most prestigious universities in the wold in Switzerland, I can say it's beyond problematic to say white people are supreme (like we've seen with Hitler or now Israel as well as the other big 3 who constantly want to wage war against the foreign and are fear mongering) or that they've made everything: It's just wrong.
Our development as the human race is a joint venture and it's important to see and appreciate how we were benefitting from each others knowledge and discoveries. We should be grateful and respectful for one another since it's proven that we are distant relatives.
To help you get a more nuanced outlook on this matter, here are 60 Inventions by Non-White people:Airplane - Charles Page was first Black man

You may not have heard of Dr. Mark Dean. And you aren’t alone. But almost everything in your life has been affected by his work.
See, Dr. Mark Dean is a Ph.D. from Stanford University. He is in the National Hall of Inventors. He has more than 30 patents pending. He is a vice president with IBM. Oh, yeah. And he is also the architect of the modern-day personal computer.
Dr. Dean holds three of the original nine patents on the computer that all PCs are based upon. And, Dr. Mark Dean is an African American.
So how is it that we can celebrate the 20th anniversary of the IBM personal computer without hearing much about him? It certainly isn’t IBM’s doing.
The mass media again are under the spotlight. Given all of the pressure they are under about negative portrayals of African Americans on television and in print, you would think it would be a slam dunk to highlight someone like Dr. Dean. Somehow, though, we have managed to miss the shot.
History is cruel when it comes to telling the stories of African Americans. Dr. Dean isn’t the first Black inventor to be overlooked….

      Savage, what was true?
      White men invented everything ?
Women spend all there time thinking about being oppressed, yet were considered property up until the 1850s, got the vote late, equal pay later than men, etc etc
Colonialism wasn't a project to strip lands wealth and resources.
Whenever some one has to tell you are telling the truth, thats a good sign they ain't.
