I am buzzing from this! Zane explains it so simple. I can’t wait to get down the range and practice all of this. Please please please give us more of Zane Scotland ❤
This series is only 2 episodes in and is already looking great. Remember seeing Zane play in the Open as a16yr old, thought he would have been a great pro but he has turned out to be a fantastic coach, he’s up there with the Harmons etc. Can’t wait to get on the range and try. Keep up the good work guys, awesome!!!!
Learnt so much that I can try to apply to my game. The practice sticks about room for error was so insightful as I feel lose a lot of distance because of swing path and club face. Keep it coming boys!
That driver lead shoulder tip for Ange 👌. Something i was probably doing on a good swing. Now Something im really concentrating on and feel super confident doing to hit up on the ball. Love it 👌. Top drawer fellas
I have hit a 78 with a 200 yard carry driver. I am good inside 100 yards and can chip and putt really well. It can be done without holding serious distance. It really can. So never underestimate 150 and in. Never. If I could carry 230, I could break 80 more regularly. If I could carry 250, I could easily do it most of the time. 300 yards and I am pushing par. So it does massively help but it isn't everything if you can't quite generate the speed. There are ways around it.
I watched Ange last week for entertainment - its no use to me. But I'm much nearer Tubes' skill/speed levels so ive been saving that bit until I could concentrate on it... This is the stuff that is more relevant to most people watching this video whether they admit it or not. Thanks for showing it 👍
When he's telling tubes to release everything during the chopping motion, I am just imagining tubes literally hitting a shot and letting go of the club. made me chuckle.
Great video lads and Zane giving great easy to follow tips . Intrigued to see if you both can get to single figures in six months as it's a very tough ask no matter who is coaching you . Good luck lads 👍
It’s great seeing Tubes realise he needs to release the weight of the club head……he’s still gripping it too tight to fully feel it but won’t be long till he realises. Great vid.
Its amazing how good Ange looks on the range. Great swing and the stats show the speed etc is up there with good players. Goes to show tho that you need the time on the course because its so different. Seen Ange struggle on the course a bit and i know how that feels. I can hit the ball relatively well on the range but really struggle on the course. I'm just starting mind so my expectations aren't high, but a few decent shots on the course would be good for the confidence. Keep it up lads. Interesting series with Zane. Looking forward to you pushing Jimmy to his limits with your improvements.
Well that’s my free lesson for the day thank you golf life 😂😂😂keep up the great work boys.single figures are coming lads will take time but worth the hard work
My view is if the pro’s have coaches that look in on their swings, tweak things and make sure no bad habits creeping in, then we amateurs need lessons. Yet golf seems to have this mentality of I can hit it x yard off the tee, I’m pretty good elsewhere in the course, just need a bit of luck and more games to get better. The thought that coaching is only for new starters. I book blocks of 5 or 19 lessons and try to have a lesson once a month, work on the tweaks then get another lesson.
@@guyr7351 How is that process working out for you? My observation from this video, which should be apparent to anyone, is that tubes will never, ever hit it as far as Ange. There is only so much you can do to gain distance. It's more physical than people want to admit.
@@Vnam72 I've completely changed my grip and currently working on my swing. I was consistently slicing the ball. Now with having the same setup to pretty much every shot, I've knocked off at least 8-10 shots off what I used to score. I now never focus on how many shots I'm taking and just focusing on trying to keep the same grip and swing as practiced. At the end of my round I then check over it, and the amount of shots are coming down. Focus on each shot instead of over all hole or round. It's working for me
@@Vnam72 well I am certainly hitting the ball More consistently but no real gains on distance. I’m 64 H’cap is 25, yet my eclectic scores for the two courses I play at gives me two under par for one and level par in the other. Yet I have yet to break 90. I hit a more solid ball when swinging with a smoother slower tempo, too fast and my arms take over with an over the top strike. My driver is 200-220 yards currently with little roll out as courses have been so wet, so maybe in summer I’ll hit 250? Best gains recently have been on chips into the green, starting to dial in better with my wedges. At my age reasonably fit I’m not going to become a 250-270 yard carry driver. So it is hitting 3W / 3H better, irons and particular short game inc putting. A miss hit 4/5/6 iron just means chip onto the green. To be sure once I feel secure with a swing for driver, I’ll then be trying to get that at a higher swing speed as speed will determine distance for any club
@guyr7351 For what it's worth I have spent 18 months seeking distance with driver. I've had lessons off different pros and tried every technique going. Distance has not increased at all. It's all physical.
Would love you guys to add filmed rounds to this series where you put your scores onto MyEg so we can see how progression is being made on this journey!
A few weeks back I went to the range and for the last 15 balls I thought I will just smack the driver as hard as I could as I was getting bored. I found the ball travelled 5-10 yards further and they were straighter.
They had the 6 irons on 'ball convert' under driver, that's giving their ball flights like 2500 spin rather than 5500 resulting in like 20-30 yards extra carry...
Tubes swing here is totally different to what we see on the course, even before he started swinging faster. Not a criticism, just proving what a lot of us find, we swing better when there's no pressure. I feel like a pro golfer at the range, on course I'm like squid in a whirlpool
Not sure if it’s in the works lads but get Zane out on course for a lesson. Ange will defo benefit loads from it as he keeps saying he’s a range player! It will be interesting to see if he works on your pre shot routines as well 👍👍 Keep it up legends
Learning to hit the ball properly imo is first the speed and power will come or am i wrong off 26.8 at the moment but started to stop trying to take skin off ball every time i hit it 😂
Ange seems to early extend quite a bit with driver. When he's over the ball, he really stands over it and at impact he's up straight and almost on his toes. I think that's where his inconsistency of strike comes from. It's so hard to reroute the club back to its starting position. Weirdly he doesn't do it with his irons. His iron swing is absolutely pure.
Bob Torrance said to Sam when he was teaching him, we will get you hitting it as far as possible, when you master that, I’ll teach you to hit it straight. Sam was long in his prime, and that started as a kid, distance first, accuracy second
I did my handicap under the old system and was off 14. Fast forward 20 cards later and I'm now an honest 16. I would guess Tubes is off 26 and Ange is off 22. There isn't that much between them on medal rounds.
Not watched this through yet, but I think golf as a game has three sections 1) the mechanics of your swing, and putting. 2) course management, the discipline to resist hero shots and work in high percentage success shots to obtain the best score 3) the mental game, how to handle nightmare holes, not getting ahead of yourself in the course, eg hole by hole shot by shot. When playing you know it’s going well, don’t go for the longer low percentage shot? First 9 has gone well how do you resist head running away yourself and you keep performing well. Likewise how to stop collapsing mentality when you have a couple of bad holes
As someone who is just starting out in golf, point 3 is a massive one. I've been there because most of my shots are poor and it gets frustrating, but my mates who have a lot more experience than be, I've seen their head fall off after a couple of bad shots and it can affect the rest of their game.
Ange single figures =possibly Tubes single figures =hope i am wrong as think he is a top bloke but i just can't see it imo. Some people regardless how much they play just have not got what it takes. Main thing is enjoy the game,no need for additional pressure. Keep it up guys love it.
Range is one of the headaches; the course is a totally different animal. I always see Ange whack the shit out of the ball on course and usually a club short.
This is becoming a must watch series, excellent tutor and two willing students.
We need this series in a playlist.
I am buzzing from this! Zane explains it so simple. I can’t wait to get down the range and practice all of this. Please please please give us more of Zane Scotland ❤
These videos are fantastic! I love that Zane is teaching two players of different builds and styles. As a viewer it adds a lot of value
Another great video chaps, love watching you boys, you're both so genuine.. Keep the magic coming you Legends..
What a great guy Zane is and I love the way you brothers support each other to do well …great stuff
Zane looks like a fantastic coach, really awesome advice!! 😊😊

Genuinely one of the best 2 videos on this series… the information is so easy to follow and the detail is 🔥🔥🔥
Love the way Zane explains things.

Ange keep at it mate ...lovely swing amazing speed you need to be more confident on the course mate

Great tips from Zain! I think a lot of legends will be out practicing this 💪🏻
Great to see how you guys are getting on. The coach seems like a really decent guy. Wishing you both really well 🙏
This is such a good series gents. Big hats off for doing it. Best of luck🏌️♂️👍🏼
Love this series, lessons are really important thanks for sharing. You golf life legends
Brilliant if only I had got this info 40 years ago to late now 👍🏻😊
Using the first lesson I broke 90 for the first time, hitting my irons pure now. Can't wait use these tips ❤
Great video legends 👏 👏 Zane really knows his stuff. I got a few pointers out off that myself. Cheers big man👍
I love the enthusiasm you guys have for golf, I'm trying to discipline myself to go to the range more, but it's just so much more fun on the course 😂
This is excellent stuff. Sharing this with some mates. Keep on banging stuff like this out. Love it.

This is so insightful and I can relate to what you boys are going through! Greta video again!
Zane is awesome I’m gonna try get a video of my swing & let Zane look at it. Great to see and learn from the pros. Amazing content lads… thanks guys
what a great instructor, been fantastic insight last two vids
Brilliant lads, great video, thanks 👏👏👍
Yes you legends. Tubesy, can you do a rap about the guest on your next vid? Old school soccer AM style haha
Like a eureka moment, can’t wait to get down to the range 😳
Love it boys. One thing could you put the data full screen? Atm it’s in a small box in the top corner that’s illegible
The Zane is totally sane. Brilliant Bloke. 👍👏
Big up to Ange here. Great conversation with Zane to help break it all down. Im out to try it.
Whens the next episode? Thought you were doing 1 a month till November. I was a 22 in May now a 16! Zane is Brilliant!
Tubes doing that drill was like him trying to get the ketchup out a bottle 😂😂 the concentration.
I been dying for u two slobs two learn golf understand it xxxx thank u for this xxx
Zane is quality. Just don’t forget these tips boys. Revert back to this video as much as you can, and you’ll see those improvements.
Who needs sky , I watch every golf thing on the box even you lot ! Only kidding best content learning so much thank u x
Well that’s my free lesson for the day thank you golf life 😂😂😂keep up the great work boys.single figures are coming lads will take time but worth the hard work

Bro just said hit it harder 😂
Agreed. A fair bit of waffle from Zaney boy.

Struck gold here boys 👏👏👏👏👏
Love these videos, great stuff boys.
Wow so so good boys so helpful
Amazing video fellas golf life baby
Fantastic coaching lesson. Will defo be doing those drills at the range

That right elbow on tubes should be pointing more towards right hip on back swing?

would love to play with you 3 legends, love all of your videos
Didn't talk about equipment. Is a longer shaft worth getting.
Where’s the open goal ep? Need to get that 1 up👍🏼
My man the White Stuff looking slick as in that lovely cream number.
great tips zane
come on the boys!!! 🎉🎉
Every time I watch these I wanna go to the range (literally never go range 🤣🤦♂️)
Superb!
Zane, “it’s always best to hit the ball out of the center of the club”…….Tubes “wowww omg that’s amazing woooww your so amazing” 😂😅
Josh just decided to take over the lesson
good lesson boys
Zane looks like he’s expecting flood, pedal pushers on ya lad
If I lived in the UK I'd be coming for a lesson

Ange hitting them speeds with a really weak grip too, if you went neutral or strong it would be faster
Go on lads 👍
Legends ❤
Would’ve been better if you’d showed ball speed too guys as surely that’s more important than anything, anyway great vid, love the content
Chopper Pete 😂😂
Zane needs to find a way to eliminate tubes head moving down at top of the back swing
See ya !
tubes stop saying you’re a 16 handicap you’re closer to 26 then 16 😂
If big ange was alot more positive he would easily get to scratch iv no doubt its mostly mental with ange his golf game is pretty good
Great video
Ange single figures =possibly
Tubes single figures =hope i am wrong as think he is a top bloke but i just can't see it imo.
Some people regardless how much they play just have not got what it takes.
Main thing is enjoy the game,no need for additional pressure.
Keep it up guys love it.
He’s basically saying ange you should be single figures already 😂
What a great coach Zane must be. Keep going lads. Single figure golf on the way
Range is one of the headaches; the course is a totally different animal. I always see Ange whack the shit out of the ball on course and usually a club short.
Big Ange is built for power.
