File this under "Bob Ross", the genre of soothing voices and lovely colors.
Haha marvelous! :D
I just got my first fountain pen after being inspired by you! Green is my favorite color, so the first ink I bought was Diamine Green Black. Green enough to be interesting, but dark enough that it goes well with the black pen already in half my current journal! I want to collect all the green (and brown) inks!
I love Inky Rocks! She’s awesome and weird:)
Her videos are fantastic!
She is fantastic!
So are your videos!
Those are the two "pen channels" that I like (and watch) the most -- yours and Inky Rocks. Congrats and thank you.
Oooh I love this swatch page, thank you! So many more green inks I need to explore. 💚
Awesome! Explore away, and if there’s any you like in particular, do send me a message on Instagram, I’d love to send you some samples. :)
Love the comparison! As a German I have to say your pronunciation of Rohrer und Klingner Alt- Goldgrün is absolutely perfect! 🙂
Wow! That’s so cool! :D
At any of the dollar stores they sell nail files with varying degrees of grit. Where it starts with a rough almost sandpaper and ends with a soft polishing grit. Use that on the glass nib as you would your nails. Starting with the rough and ending with the extremely fine. It will create a brand new tip that can be even better than the original. You can make the tip as broad or as fine as you'd like by the angle of the file. With a little bit of effort I promise the results are worth it 👍
Brilliant!!! Thank you so much! I will do just that! How exciting to think it can be customized.
Bliss !! I’ve used green ink for all my journals since I was 16 years old. 30 years now ! These are all so beautiful.
Wow! That’s incredible!
I like your Best 3 green colors so much. Thank you for this Video 💚🙏
You’re welcome!
Beautiful shades of green, Alicia - a few of those I also possess.....it's one of the calmest hues I know of - & always soothes when I've had a bad day; as a musician, I would prompt you to learn that Medieval standard - 'Greensleeves', either on Cello, six string guitar - or both !! A rendition I would happily sit thru' on a (future) presentation. Green is also the colour of Intellect.....I'll say no more ;D
Delightful overview - Thank you :)
Three of these are my favourite inks too (Charles Dickens, Alt-Goldgrun and Chiku-Rin). What a lovely end to my week. I had a big day sanding and gluing (rosette and neck of this guitar are almost done) and it is wonderful to be able to sit down and see another of your beautiful videos. Thank you so much!
You’re so welcome!
Wow, good work! That must feel so rewarding. What left do you have for the the guitar?
@@adventuredenali This particular guitar is still in the early stages of construction - I have the sides to bend next week, then to put the bracings on the front and back, then glue the sides then joint the neck, close the body up, bend the bindings, put the bindings on, make the bridge and fingerboard, sanding (so much sanding), fretting, finishing and finally set up. I'm hoping to be done by the end of January! My little ukulele is ready for frets, though, which is exciting.
I like how the water drops made like lil eyes in the blobs
Aww hehe they did!
You have a very pleasant voice to listen to! Also, RIP dip pen
Some of my favorite inks are in the green family. Really enjoyed this video 💚
Lovely greens, thank you. Would be great to see this for other color families too!
I’d love to do that!
Green is my favorite color outside my wardrobe! I don’t wear a lot of green but love using various shades in decor and kitchenware. I bought a 2ml sample of Charles Dickens and love that green black shade. My first ink was Pelikan edelstein aventurine. 🥰
I feel similarly! Surrounded by green. :D
Thank you for sharing your green ink collection! I love all the greens. My favorites are pelikan Edelstein Olivine, Diamine Sherwood Green and de atrementis Charles Dickens. I now have a hard decision to make for my first green ink.
You’re welcome! Have you considered getting some samples at Gouletpens.com? They have an ink flight of greens, but also offer samples for most of the ink they have for sale too.
Look at all that green!!!! Love it, ya know even if green is my favorite color I don't use it as my primary color of ink 😋 but I tooks some notes! Thanks for all these new inks I need to try 😁
Oh God, your writing is so good I want to cry
Very thorough and informative, thank you for this comparison!
You’re welcome!
Greetings from England. We really enjoy your postings. Hope you are all keeping safe and well in these increasingly troubled times.
Hello and thank you! Doing the best I can! Same to you.
These are all lovely, and I like how you did your water/smudge test! :) I have a small bottle of Diamine Meadow, and a sample of a few of the others. I’ve really been loving Callifolio Olivastre lately, and Montblanc Irish Green is probably my all-time favorite green-green. 💚
Ink Queen Manda! Thanks! That was fun! Thought I’d play around. Folks get so creative with inks. It’s really fun. The Montblanc has been expressed as a favorite by many. I really need to investigate. It was never on my radar before.
I love the way all of them look. Can't decide which I want to get for myself!
Good luck making your decision!
Thank you so much for this comparison! I love green and am looking to expand my inkcollection with green ink so this was perfect timing for me 😁 Thank you for sharing your experience and inks ❤️
You’re so welcome! I’m glad the timing worked out well. Have fun inking. ;)
Loved the greens,
Love from India ❤️❤️❤️ 🙏❤️🙏
Hello and thanks for stopping by!
I love the Pelikan Edelstein Olivine & Monteverde Yosemite Green inks.
Ooh I’ll have to check out Yosemite one day!
Thank you for this! I have been on a quest for the perfect green ink. So far my top two are the R&K "Alt-Goldgruen" and Diamine "Sherwood Green"...but I have to get my hands on (or nibs into, rather 😄) those Robert Oster inks! Those are gorgeous!!
Enjoy your next journey!
You’re so welcome! Haha great expression, “nibs into.” The Robert Oster inks are lovely.
beautiful greens. Meadow is so nice on that paper. I wonder how it is on whiter paper? Either way, these are all lovely. very lovely video, too!
I have that Sequioa ink. Other greens I have are Noodlers Gruene Cactus, Colorverse Shroedinger, and Jacques Herbin Emeraude de Chivor. The Herbin ink is really more teal to blue. It really depends on the paper and how much of the gold shimmer comes through. You have to really shake it up to get the gold distributed.
I used to have a bottle of the Chivor. Gorgeous color! I have it to a student along with a TWSBI pen when I left the school. :)
Have to say I am really intrested in the first green you used ..very nice ..and a really natural looking colour. Compared to some of the others ...thankyou for the comparisons ...🌍🇦🇺👍😷
It is very nice indeed. You’re welcome :)
My favorite green is DeAtramentis "Jane Austen," a lovely soft mossy green that I am addicted to. It writes beautifully in my stub nib Pilot Metropolitan for letter writing on cream paper. I also love writing with glass pens, too, although I have yet to break a tip. ;)
Yeah, missy greens - they’re so soothing
This was great! I just received for my anniversary a Pelikan in a beautiful brown and cream coloring. I want to put a beautiful brown ink in it. Would you consider doing a video like this for browns and are there any that you highly recommend right off the top of your head? I really enjoy all of your videos. I thank you!
Absolutely! Congratulations to you! That’s so exciting!
Omg I totally forgot about this video! :) I did see it! Lovely colours. Have you tested Tokiwa-Matsu now? A shame that Sequoia didn’t come through, I just ordered another sample of that one since my previous one smelled odd.
Diamine Sherwood Green looks exceptional! There's a new teal coming out soon from Diamine which I am really looking forward to. I'll send you a link when it's released
It is exceptional! Ooh I look forward to seeing that. Because you know, we need more inks and all... hehe
@@adventuredenali we all need new inks :)) hope you’re doing well x
May I suggest some Montblanc Irish Green? Had this is my MB 149 since I bought the pen 5 years ago. Thx 🙂 Are you thinking of doing other colours like this? 👍🏻
Ooh yes! You’re not the first one to recommend that one. It seems to be quite the favorite.
I like this vid cause it features green ink :)
Hello, I am a fountain pen newbie brought about by too much quarantine time haha. I tried the Alt-goldgrün because of you and fell in love with it!!! I realized I love shading inks the best. If you, or other viewers here, have any suggestions for shading inks, please let me know.:) Thanks and have a nice day.:)
Diamine: Autumn Oak
Kyo Iro: Stone Road of Gion
Noodler’s: Swan in Australian Roses
Those are some I can think of off the top of my head. Hope it helps! :D
I have so many green inks, at least suixty bottles, that I haven't actually used half of them. This said, I've found, with two exceoptions, that I like the cheaper, better known inks than most of the fancier ones I have. Monteverde Yosemite Green, Monteverde Olivine, Waterman Harmonious Green, Noodler's Green, and Diamone Sherwood green get the most use by far.
The two exceptions to the cheap rule are both Montblanc inks. One is Irish green. It's only twenty-four dollars, about the aame price i pay for Iroshizuku inks, so it's right on the dge of expensive. The other is Montblanc Par fumeur Vetiver Scent Green, and it's a hideous eighty dollars, but I absolutely love it. I'm a sucker for Montblanc Special Edition inks, and I have three of them. The cheapest, Psycadelic Purple, was around forty-eight dollars. Both of the others were right around eighty dollars.
I really can't afford to spend that kind of money for one bottle of ink, but Montblanc seems to know me personally, and both the colors and the scents relate remarkably well to my life. I couldn't resist. I could have bought a decent gold nib pen for what those inks cost, but, well...like I said, Montblanc hit the nail oon the ehad with all three.
But I learned the miracle of ten dollars per week and a healthy dose of self-discipline when I was very youmg. It's amazing how many expensive things you can buy if you save just ten dollars per week, and don't give in to temptation when the amounbt starts growing.
Anyway, I really don't know which I love most, purple or green, and I have as much urple as I do green. Maybe more. I also really like deep, dark reds, such as Diamine Red Dragon, deep burnt oranges such as Private Reserve Orange Crush. I don't like many straight blue inks, but I do love turquoise, and I like a lot of brown inks.
Really enjoyed reading this! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences. And inspiring me to save $10 per week. :)
Congrats for your channel, I really enjoy how you work with inks. Have you monetize the channel? I learn a lot from you!! Thanks.
Thank you so much! It’s something I’m in the process of doing. Trying to figure it all out.
I only have one green ink, and it's Diamine Sherwood Green, which is just perfect for me :-)
Aaah nice to find something just right. :)
Noodler’s Gruene Cactus is my favourite
I’d love to try that one too
Would you say that the pelican olivine is dry or fairly wet? I’m still trying to decide to get it.
Have u tried jinhao bamboo green ink it's great for its price range!
I haven’t yet! Thanks for the suggestion!
I am interested in knowing what size the BJD dolls (displayed in an older video, shown on a chest of drawers) are. I'm interested in getting one and I like the size of those dolls. I'm commenting here because it is your latest video. Thank you
Hello! The big ones were SD size, and the smaller ones MSD. Hope that helps!
@@adventuredenali I’m so grateful for your reply. Thank you very much. Until I saw your dolls I was unaware of their existence. I love the idea of sewing clothing for a doll. 🙂
As much as you write and archive all in non waterproof ink, have you ever got caught in the rain or had an a spill type accident? (Life-long Louisiana resident here, lol.) Any worries?
Haha yeah, I haven’t worried about it. But, I’m also in a desert - so maybe it’s less in my radar than it would be in Louisiana. :)
Hello Alicia, why did you delete your latest Currently inked ? It was a lovely video just like all of your content. We love your currently inked. Love from Uk :*
Aww thanks so much! I just felt off that day, and then accidentally uploaded it at a low frame rate, so I thought it was hard to see the writing. I will happily do more in the future. :)
@@adventuredenali Oh, I see. Aww bless you, things like that happen don't worry. :) yes please do more of them if you can. That would be lovely. Thank you and have a great day :)
I only have one green ink, it's Seitz Kreuznach Palm green.
How do you like that ink?
@@adventuredenali I like it very much. It shades really well especially with a medium or broad nib. It has the colour of tropical palm trees and shades almost to black.
It's quite cheap here in the UK and the bottle is a bit like a Waterman's bottle in than it's angled sides allows you to tilt it over to get the last of the ink
I have one glass pen and the ink just blobs. Is it my ink? The ink came with the pen.
Oh, I have no idea! I’ve never experienced that before. Have you tried another ink?
@@adventuredenali I haven't. The pen and ink are packed as i moved and haven't come across it.
@@adventuredenali , i live in an area that has few resources for ink or fountain pens. Online is not an option for me either. As soon as I'm where i can purchase another ink I will try a different ink. I truly don't know the quality of the ink or the pen. It could be just me😊
Am I the only one that thinks Charles Dickens is similar to Diamine Salamander?
I had to look that one up, never knew about it! Gorgeous ink! I don’t know if I find them similar though, hehe. I’d love to see them side by side!
You do all this, then don't give us (viewers) time to study the results, cutting it off like you've gotta be somewhere. ???
Haha I guess I did have somewhere to be!
