C est vrai , il utilise un curieux français de la fin du 19 ème siècle dans les intonations
I cantanti francesi non hanno grandi voci e la tecnica e' spesso inesistente. La Dessay e' il classico sopranino di coloratura di cui nel mondo c'è ne sono a centinaia. Grandi cantanti francesi fuoriclasse non sono mai esistiti. Qualche voce piacevole, Vanzo, Thill, Gorr, Crespin...si contano sulle dita di una mano di un grande invalido. Sutherland superiore a qualunque coloratura francese. In teatro la Dessay aveva una voce piccola, si sentiva poco dalla 4° fila di poltrone in poi. I sopracuti a spillo.

WHAT A VOICE, BEAUTIFUL WOMAN AND SPLENDID CHARACTER. LOOK AT OPERATIC ROLES SHE HAS DONE, AWESOME. NOT ONLY TOP HIGH NOTES BUT PURITY OF TONE, EASE OF EFFORT.. NOT ALWAYS PERFECT BUT ABOUT 99% IN THIS ONE.
I also like her. her technique is so good.
I think the 1% was lost in the fact that it's an old video & the audio is not the best . Natalie is 99.999999999999999999999999%( recurring) in this! 😁👍

Desafinar, nem passa na cabeça dela, e os trilhos limpos e leves nas notas superagudas são um privilégio. Nunca vi assim, segura do que está fazendo. I trust you were being humorous. If not, please...you can look that up. But it's not what she's singing about or what the lyrics are. It's the sound, the music that her instrument (her voice) produces. How accurate she is, how effortless she performs, her breath control & projection.

Tiny voice that records well. I heard her in Lucia, and from the 12th row in the orchestra she was inaudible 60% of the time. Still, I love her Handel recordings.
I heard her in Bastille from the last row just fine. Maybe crappy acoustics of the theatre you saw her in? In either case, your statement is factually not true.
Beautiful voice, but not as powerful as that of Lilly Pons when hitting that last note.

Elle a presque l’air sympathique sur cette vidéo. A vouloir chanter soprano dramatique elle a perdu sa voix de coloratura ainsi que ses aigus cristallins 😮💙🤍❤️
