@@sea_sky_sun.....Sutherland sings this very well... down a half step....and sutherland doesn't sound like a teenage girl...which the character is. While Sutherlands is Magnificent...it lacks the fragile magic ability of Dessay....
ETERNALLY beyond hauntingly beautiful and exquisite. She was nothing less than mind-boggling in her talent!!
Phenomenal Dessay, she is really outstanding and give an alive version of Lakmé at the level of Mesplé !

C est vrai , il utilise un curieux français de la fin du 19 ème siècle dans les intonations
I cantanti francesi non hanno grandi voci e la tecnica e' spesso inesistente. La Dessay e' il classico sopranino di coloratura di cui nel mondo c'è ne sono a centinaia. Grandi cantanti francesi fuoriclasse non sono mai esistiti. Qualche voce piacevole, Vanzo, Thill, Gorr, Crespin...si contano sulle dita di una mano di un grande invalido. Sutherland superiore a qualunque coloratura francese. In teatro la Dessay aveva una voce piccola, si sentiva poco dalla 4° fila di poltrone in poi. I sopracuti a spillo.

Desafinar, nem passa na cabeça dela, e os trilhos limpos e leves nas notas superagudas são um privilégio. Nunca vi assim, segura do que está fazendo.
