In regards to Ki-Adi-Mundi, I think part of the irritation is because the EU was reframed as "Legends," i.e. events from long ago that people talk about, maybe they happened maybe they didn't. But to say, "Legend has it, Ki-Adi-Mundi's race has a much shorter lifespan than what we originally thought," that breaks the reframing. It's one thing to change events, but when you arbitrarily start changing the rules of the world itself, that's a special kind of sloppy.
Not ONLY that... But the CARD that gave Ki Adi Mundi's age wasn't an "EU card" it was a fully licensed Tops Trading Card prequel movie merchandise...

Yea this interview was very...very... interesting. I really wish her and amandla would do more so we could all mock and laugh. This is a real good example/indicator of just how morally and creatively bankrupt modern disney and hollywood have become.

The last shows I saw where twins swapped places was"the sweet life if Zack and Cody" from Disney and Sister Sister both of which ended over a decade ago.

I'll give a pass to people who review the Acolyte but I can't flipping stand people who hate watch it. Hate watching counts the exact same amount in terms of viewership as those who love watching this shit.

You have to tell a story with intent behind it. You are supposed to try and say something. She just put pieces together without any intent, and she made a show about nothing.
And the pieces are just a bunch of stolen pieces repurposed in the first place. But you're correct the most egregious aspect is tacking disjointed pieces together w/o actually creating a ... thread /shudder/ ... to tie everything throughout the story telling.
The showrunner/creator saying that "non-canon canon is the best" translates to: I open up a McDonalds tomorrow. But I don't like burgers, so I will sell raw fish. Then, when customers come in, I laugh at them and say, I wanted the prestige and the name of the franchise, but I did not care about anything which makes it special. And I especially did not read their usual menu or even their basic rules for anything." (Normal people would then go and create a brand-new thing, but Hollywood does not pay for newcomers without a name anymore. Mid-budget stuff vanished basically.)

What many people are missing is that this show is actually a rip-off of the Arcann and Thexann Jedi/Sith twin brothers subplot in the console video game “Star Wars: Old Republic,” more than it is a lift from “Frozen” or “Kill Bill” or whatever else. Her understanding of the lore is limited to video game trailers and cut-scenes. That’s the tragedy here.
This makes sense as she said she got the idea to have Qimir naked from Let me Solo Her on Elden Ring.

You know what also got lost in Star Wars over the years? humor. Recent abominations are completely devoid of the frequent touches of humor that Lucas knew prevented Star Wars from taking itself too seriously. The opening scene of the very first movie was pure comedy, albeit 'inspired' by the opening scene of Kurosawa's Seven Samurai. Wookies are purely there for the jokes. It's entertainment, folks. not a soapbox for humorless individuals with a gender agenda to shove down audience's throats.

I actually liked Andor, despite the slow pace; and look forward to a second season, with competent writers, directors, and producers to fill the gap into Rougue One. And i thought most of the stuff in Andor was way better than anything on Ashoka or Acolyte...

You forgot the wake up and not know what the hell is going on emotion of Amandla Stenberg, that is very similar to the Happy and Angry look but slightly different from the tired and offended look.

I'm not that hard on Headland because she freely admitted how she got the job. "You have to pretend like you know what you are doing." It's as lame as the women who worked on 'She Hulk'. The heads I want on a platter or Kathleen Kennedy and Bob Iger. They're the ones who turned George Lucas's vision and franchise up on it's head hiring these no talent activist and firing the qualified writers and technicians. I wouldn't let them lead a cub scout to the grocery store.
One would think that with 180 million Disney could do better than buying the cheapest dollar store shelves and at least try to make a believable "fandom" -room, but.. I guess a 720p cam, a storage room and 100$ worth of toys arranged by a blind summer trainee is good enough for the level of professionalism expected nowadays. (Btw. I still think both the bathing scene and the power of many -scene would have worked out just fine with little tweaking. But being lazy (again) underlined their flaws..)

Leslye is likely a high-functioning sociopath. Or at least well into the psychopath spectrum, in that she doesn't really have or understand empathy, or how to see other people as fully human - something other than objects. She's so utterly wrapped up in HER self, and HER image, and HER needs, that she grotesquely mistakes how normal people will respond to things.
I suspect that a lot of people at Lucasfilm & Disney could see what a trainwreck this show was going to be, but just as with Google and their hilariously woke AI, didn't dare speak up for fear of getting hammered with the -ists and -phobes label. So everybody just smiled and nodded and let Leslye construct this massive turd of a show.
Thankfully we can all forget that she and it ever existed in another week. I'll be flabbergasted if she's given so much as a lemonade stand to run after this disaster.

Great shows don’t have a message it’s pushing outside of what’s appropriate for the story in the story talking about characters; not almost breaking the 4th wall to insult the viewer.
Leslie calling herself a writer is hilarious she writes about as good as Dave and he gave the ok for this show and he helped come up with all the crap fans didn't like
Honestly I think Dave is a worse writer than Leslie, due to the 1st two episodes actually being pretty good. Though sadly, episode 7 (which was not written or directed by Headland) was pretty lame.

Wow, so I completely misunderstood Star Wars and all its sequels and prequels.
I think you're right about a traumatic experience. I'd go so far as to suggest this played a role in her literally turning her back on what Weinstein did. I think the majority of Hollywood chose to ignore his behaviour because it might have cost them fame and/or wealth. But as a Personal Assistant, I think you'd likely have other reasons to turn your back on his s-assualts and r$p$. Actually I want to go further than that, but at the risk of having this message deleted I can't express everything I'm thinking, but needless to say I think having an extremely low opinion of her, irrespective of her as a writer/director/producer, or what she's 'created' in this Star Wars show, there's something pretty dark going on in her head. It never ceases to amaze me the types of people that gravitate towards Hollywood. You want to innocently believe everyone's simply attracted to making more money than they're genuinely worth by 'entertaining' people, but I think in some respects it's also a bit of a haven for some personality types too!!! What an industry.
I feel there is a style of writing certain women like Headland think is a female form of writing, where you just write based on how you are feeling at the time. Not the characters, but you and your concerns drive a story.

I liked Ahsoka and Andor. Ahsoka wasnt great but its was still good. I didnt have too many issues that broke my enjoyment of it.
