Just when you thought you had it figured out...BOOM...Tim comes out as a tenor.. Adam Rupp Kills it on Percussion...and Adam Chance sings Bass....LOL. That's what home fries have been waiting for.The surprises aren't done yet !
THE SEVEN NOTES THAT MAKE UP THE JOYFUL NOISE THESE PHENOMENAL SINGERS USE ....... just make your head explode ! This is another level of song, singing, harmony in heaven just so very beautiful to thy ear ! Home Fry, jj
Your reaction to Tim going high and Chance in the basement is why a lot of us try to keep this song away from reactors early. I have seen reactors do this song second and have no idea about the part switching that happens. The surprise is a big part to the reaction for this song.
Tim has a 5+ octave range, he can go from the basement to the roof top. Chance has a 4 octave range and instead of singing in the baritone range, he took over the base part. And Adam the beat boxer did a phenomenal job on this song. Rob and Autin held down their parts very well, too. SURPRISE!!! You never know what these guys will do, so never let your guard down. lol! Thank you for another fantastic reaction.
0:10 bless you! And that reaction right there is why us Home Fries tell reactors to hold off on Mayday until you (think) you know them. Tim does tenor, and stays there for the whole song. Chance does that epic low note (I already had a small idea of his range coz he couldn’t have been the bass singer for his previous acapella group otherwise, but even so I wasn’t prepared first time I heard it). Chance is a whole bag of surprises isn’t he? 4 whole octaves and then some! BTW, you’ll love HF’s original song Champagne Taste On A Beer Budget. It’s a riot!
Another fun fact...they all can beat box.......not as good as Adam. They do it live concerts.....usually Singing 9-5. It's really cool. Thanks for reacting to Home Free again. They can really do it all. They do mashups...really fun stuff and also serious. We love them....plus they're all just really good guys. Stay safe and thanks again.
How great is it that Tim comes out singing up in the rafters and then Chance dropped to the basement! They mix it up so well. You just never know what sound may come out of their mouths! Love it! ❤
And again I like a Home Free cover better than the original. Go figure. Now you see why we, a portion of us, wanted you to wait and get to know the guys a little bit before this song. If you didn't know Tim was the bass, or Chance usually covered the baritone part, or... I've watched some reactors give in and watch too soon. Then people get mad when they don't get it. It isn't the reactor's fault when they are just doing what YOU requested. So I'm happy you waited and got the full effect! Awesome, isn't it! Thank you, this was a great way to start the day for me! ^_^
You literally made me laugh out loud again! Chance knocked you on the floor!!! I'm so glad to see a new Home Fry watch a bunch of HF songs before Mayday. You just can't appreciate the depth of talent until you think you know their parts. In my opinion, this is one of the reasons that they are the best a capela group out there. You can take each one of them and hold them up to each person in any group, and they have the most incredible God given talent. They are so horribly underrated, should be on the radio and television!! "Let's unpack!" :)
This is in my top favorites if not my favorite. You get so caught up that you forget there are zero instruments. Individually they are so talented, collectively they are mind blowing.
Guess, you can react to som of their funny videos also All about that bass Butts remix Country fried pop medley Full of Cheer Champagne taste (on a beer budget) Or one of their splendid mashup Fishin' in the dark/ Boondocks Thinking out loud/ let's get it on
I had the EXACT same reaction when I first watched this one. I actually thought they were doing a voice-over with Tim in the beginning. Haha. And how about Adam Chance! Wow!! Amazing bass in his own right!
I loved watching your expressions as they kept surprising you with their different ranges when they kept switching parts. This group is always full of surprises! You need to watch some of their quarantine videos, they are really funny😊
I mean, this is a great performance of a great song, even without knowing the way they've switched around their usual roles - but with that as well it's not surprising it blows people away. I don't think you've seen much of Chance, who did the bass for this song, in the songs you've reacted to - if you'd like to see more, try I Can't Outrun You or the fun one Some Girls Do.
This is why we "Home Fries" recommend waiting to react to this. After you get a clear (ish) understanding of the group dynamics, you can appreciate how versatile they are.. haha. It is well worth the price of admission to see people react to this song. haha. Thank you for reacting to this. Your reaction was epic.
Tim (the bass of the group) has a 6 octave range so he can sing almost anything he decides to try!!! The one thing I can guarantee you with HF is that when you think that you're comfortable with their talent, the will switch it up on you & give you something different or should I say better!!!
Home Free is definitely incredible! Two more songs I'd suggest for them are their cover of Elvira and the Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On mashup that they do.
you are so adorable.. I love watching your reactions.. and you only scratched the surface on Home Free. HAHA! I really think you would enjoy The O'Jay's cover of Love Train.. it's so good!
Besides having Tim sing tenor and Chance sing bass, we always forget that Adam is providing the 'instruments' backing up the whole group. He's amazing.
Home Fee...full of surprises, hey. Glad you had listened to enough of their songs in their "normal" voices to actually appreciate this. Love your reaction
I absolutely appreciate your sound quality...your a little noisy. I find myself also needing to be more quiet as my daughters work long hours...as you get older I don’t sleep so soundly. I Love ❤️ this cover by Home Free. Thanks for posting this MV Reaction. 🙇🏻♀️🔍🎤🎶🎵👏🏽😉
Oh my sweet baby Jesus. This is my first time hearing this song from Homefree. I love them, but normally am more inclined to PTX, because they consistently surpass my expectations by a great deal. This performance though... you fell off your chair? I THREW MY PHONE!! This was unreasonably good.
Chance was a bass in another group, prior to Home Free. Nice that you had the opportunity to see his range. Tim has a huge singing range! Great beat boxing in this song. Rob and Tim are awesome as always.
Hahaha! I always wait for people to realize that deep bass Tim is singing lead tenor! His has I think five octaves. Am sure others told that better than me. But love your reactions! Keep them coming, we'll be here for you! HF fans united! lol.
Can I toss in another request on a home free cover? I'd like to see you're reaction to : try everything from zootopia. Awesome beat boxing and their version of this song is better than the original. Thanks ..
I love your reaction! I heard this song from their CD before I saw the video. I knew them well enough to know their voices, or so I thought. When I saw the video I was shocked! One of their earlier songs is Your Man. It is a bass solo. The best version is in one of their live concert videos. Then check out their Morrison, IL concert (it's very funny).
Heyyy can you react to Voiceplay It Ain't Me ft. John Pinto Jr? Pleasssssee!!! It really show off range there as well!!! Geoff hits some insane low chest notes and John Pinto hits some insane high notes!!!
Now that you've seen Mayday, you need to watch "Mayday Live" for yet more surprises . . .Great reaction - the only other time I've seen someone close to falling out off their chair was a duet between Austin & Rob "Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera" (on Austin's channel).
You should listen to Avi Kaplan - Change on the Rise, Avi Kaplan - The Summit or Avi Kaplan - Get Down. If you want another Home Free video, look for a mashup containing Lets Get it On, I don't remember the other song.
Chance was bought in to fill Chris' (Adam Rupp's brother) spot as baritone a few yrs ago but apparently in a previous group he was in he was the bass but it's still a crazy range
In most a capella groups, the baritone will pick up the bass line when the bass is singing. In this case, it's Adam Chance...who is called Chance because the beatboxer's name is also Adam :) HF is always a surprise...they do serious stuff, but also some that's totally funny.
Just when you thought you had it figured out...BOOM...Tim comes out as a tenor.. Adam Rupp Kills it on Percussion...and Adam Chance sings Bass....LOL. That's what home fries have been waiting for.The surprises aren't done yet !
Tim has a beautiful FIVE octave range. And Chance isn't far behind.
If you haven't noticed by now Home Free is always full of surprises.....SURPRISED..!!!!
0:00 that doesn't deserve a second take?? Lol
All seriousness tho, bro. Great reaction. I'm lovin the vids. Keep them coming!
I love how it took you about ten seconds to realize the bass was singing high. Your reaction was just perfect. :)
Your reaction to Tim going high and Chance in the basement is why a lot of us try to keep this song away from reactors early. I have seen reactors do this song second and have no idea about the part switching that happens. The surprise is a big part to the reaction for this song.

I would say it's closer to 7 octaves
“Basement to roof” I’m straight up walkin the stairway to heaven rn😂
0:10 bless you! And that reaction right there is why us Home Fries tell reactors to hold off on Mayday until you (think) you know them. Tim does tenor, and stays there for the whole song. I really loved the look of shock on your face when you realized that it was Tim singing tenor.
On top of the free-range vocals going on, there are places in this song where Adam Rupp is doing Mick Fleetwood-level percussion.
Everytime I hear this one, I can't believe there is no instruments. So well done.
You have to check out their "My Church", "Wake Me Up", and one of their best, "Blue Ain't Your Color"!!!
Awesome reaction, thanks for sharing. Yep, shocked me, too, when I first heard it!
And again I like a Home Free cover better than the original. Go figure. Now you see why we, a portion of us, wanted you to wait and get to know the guys a little bit before this song. Or one of their splendid mashup
Fishin' in the dark/ Boondocks
Thinking out loud/ let's get it on
Now I can honestly say, I've seen someone knocked out of their chair, by a song.
I had the EXACT same reaction when I first watched this one. I actually thought they were doing a voice-over with Tim in the beginning. Haha. And how about Adam Chance! Wow!! Amazing bass in his own right!
this showcased the beatboxing so much....I love this song & your reaction was amazing !!!
Bass Slapped out of the chair!! ha ha. love your reactions
I loved watching your expressions as they kept surprising you with their different ranges when they kept switching parts. This group is always full of surprises! You need to watch some of their quarantine videos, they are really funny😊

his range is B0 - A5
Now it is time for you to see Helplessly Hoping, End of the Road, and Man of Constant Sorrow if you haven't already.
Adam has a lot of drum solos on UA-cam check them out
Home Free is definitely incredible! Two more songs I'd suggest for them are their cover of Elvira and the Thinking Out Loud/Let's Get It On mashup that they do.
You'll have 5k by the end of the month. Calling it now
you are so adorable.. I love watching your reactions.. and you only scratched the surface on Home Free. HAHA! I really think you would enjoy The O'Jay's cover of Love Train.. it's so good!
Chance was the bass in his previous group. They were on the Sing-off as well, season 2, I believe.
Love to see others shock at this one ! The song is one of my favorites!
Besides having Tim sing tenor and Chance sing bass, we always forget that Adam is providing the 'instruments' backing up the whole group. He's amazing.
Can't stop the feeling should be next.
That was the first one he did
Listening to them is never boring. They have such a variety of styles that they cover; it's really hard to believe sometimes.
Best reaction to this song EVER!! LoL I was waiting to see your reaction when Chance hit that low note! Priceless!! Keep up the great reactions!! 😁😁😁
Your reactions are priceless! You’re a real music lover and you just caused me to subscribe.......keep it up man! Excellent....
I love your reactions, your so into the music it is truly amazing. Thank you for your enthusiasm.
LOL Mally wasn't readyyyyyyyyy
Home Fee...full of surprises, hey. Glad you had listened to enough of their songs in their "normal" voices to actually appreciate this. Love your reaction
Great reaction! You are not wrong - they are always able to do something you never expected!
thanks for not having a extremely loud intro like a lot of ppl have.
0:00, The cat that slipped out of the shades
I absolutely appreciate your sound quality...your a little noisy. I find myself also needing to be more quiet as my daughters work long hours...as you get older I don’t sleep so soundly. I Love ❤️ this cover by Home Free. Thanks for posting this MV Reaction. 🙇🏻♀️🔍🎤🎶🎵👏🏽😉
Adam Chance was the bass singer for corner street symphony another a cappella group from Nashville that was runner up on the sing off
Yes! I have been waiting for this,
They never fail to surprise. So good.
Finally made myself listen. Just what I knew. Triggered tears for some reason. 😢 Truly beautiful.
Chance was a bass in another group, prior to Home Free. Nice that you had the opportunity to see his range. Tim has a huge singing range! Great beat boxing in this song. Rob and Tim are awesome as always.
They sure do keep you on your toes, dont they? I often forget that they dont have a traditional drummer... Adam is just amazing. Thanks!
Hahaha! I always wait for people to realize that deep bass Tim is singing lead tenor! His has I think five octaves. Am sure others told that better than me. But love your reactions! Keep them coming, we'll be here for you! HF fans united! lol.

They are all just freaking talented.

Yes! That one is an insane arrangement!
The sing overs at the end are the best I've ever heard.
tim has a amazing range and adam chance gives tim more time to use it cause adam is also a nice bass.
This is one of my favorite songs by Home Free! Please do more Home Free!
Now that you've seen Mayday, you need to watch "Mayday Live" for yet more surprises . . .Great reaction - the only other time I've seen someone close to falling out off their chair was a duet between Austin & Rob "Two Country Singers Try Singing Opera" (on Austin's channel).
The low notes, can we call it a MAYDAY 😆
You should listen to Avi Kaplan - Change on the Rise, Avi Kaplan - The Summit or Avi Kaplan - Get Down. If you want another Home Free video, look for a mashup containing Lets Get it On, I don't remember the other song.
Man of Constant Sorrow. Godsent.
Chance was bought in to fill Chris' (Adam Rupp's brother) spot as baritone a few yrs ago but apparently in a previous group he was in he was the bass but it's still a crazy range
Best reaction I've seen in a while!! Home Free is it!
Home Free- just flexing for the Home Fries
Thanks for the reaction! These guys are amazing and will continue to surprise you!
Your reaction to chances low note was hysterical. Lol
In most a capella groups, the baritone will pick up the bass line when the bass is singing. In this case, it's Adam Chance...who is called Chance because the beatboxer's name is also Adam :) HF is always a surprise...they do serious stuff, but also some that's totally funny.
Subscribed because of Home Free! Love your reactions
Tim (bass guy) has a 5 octave range. He has a couple of solo songs from before Home Free.
That … is the appropriate response!
We need a reaction to the newest to date, Everybody walking this land.
his cat at the start of the video : hello :)
I think you're now ready to react to Tim's 5 octave range
Priceless reactions on Adam Chance suprise bass 😂
Tim Foust has a 5 octave range. Crazy
Adam is killing it with the beat boxing
You've just been introduced to Adam Chase. He sang bass on this song. Tim Foust (normal bass) killed it on the open lead.
Thanks love ❤️ them and your reaction they are so AMAZING 😉😍🔥😍🔥😍🔥😍🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️✌🏽
It's amazing how talented they are. Rob, Tim, and l think it's Chance can beat box to help Adam fill in as well.
Got to check out Home Free's Mom video for mother's Day.
Tim Foust has a 5 octave range, so he can sing pretty much anything the way he wants to.
You should react to their cover of Auld Lang Syne (the New Year’s Eve song). It is so classy.
They are great! I love your reactions
1:38 PRICELESS FACE
I thought you had a ghost at the start of the video, then I realized it was just your cat. Tim can go 5 octaves - from tenor to superbass.
I love the fact that you are baffled
CONGRATS ON THE 1K!!
I love your reaction to mayday
Killed it
OMG Dude....GREAT REACTION!!!!
I really enjoy your reviews! George
Pretty awesome yea ☝️
The best!❤
