Protip; The CeraVe SA body wash. It has BHA and ceramides. Let it sit on the skin after applying for a few minutes and rinse off. Your skin will never have felt so soft. It works for acne on the body, as well as keratosis pilaris and just general rough skin. It's more effective than an AHA product for acne and KP by merit of being salicylic acid and the ceramides help the skin get so smooth and soft after consistent use. After the shower, hop out and apply a lactic acid lotion (AmLactin has an affordable 15% lactic acid lotion). This will help with acne, skin firmness, collagen production, moisture retention and hydration, hyperpigmentation on the body, general rough bumps, keratosis pilaris and etc. Do not use body scrubs as most of them are going to be too traumatic for the skin and end up not helping. Another option is the GoldBond rough and bumpy skin lotion with AHA, BHA and PHA, make sure to apply it to skin while still damp of it will pill. Otherwise, use a retinol body lotion (Advanced Clinicals has a super affordable one) to achieve the same goals, or alternate days with them. (Of course, use SPF in the daytime, especially on the body if using either of these products.)
This routine will 100% clear keratosis pilaris, make your skin soft and smooth as well as clear body acne. Give it time and it will work, trust me. Don't expect to have entirely clear skin in a week or two and you'll be rewarded with results with consistent use.

omg thank you sooo much for the tips :D I'm just starting to take care of my skin and identified a bunch of problems like KP, body acnes, PIH from not knowing/caring about them at all up until recently.
I've mostly come across skincare routines but had no idea what to do during the shower and your post really puts things into perspective for me.
I have 2 quick questions if you don't mind :)
      1. Can the routine be used daily? I started with weekly physical exfoliation, but I'm shifting towards chemical exfoliations instead after reading about the two, but I'm still not sure how often chemical exfoliations can be used.
      2. Do you have any recommendations when it comes to skin brightening? I'm looking into azelaic acid, vitamin C, arbutin, niacinamide, and retinoids, but have yet to translate these into product(s) to incorporate into my routine.

Many hair stylists often forget to mention that one can develop buildup from shampoo if it’s overused and/or not rinsed out thoroughly. Shampoo buildup can look like and mimic dandruff. If you’re shampooing frequently, a double shampoo may not be necessary, especially with a clarifying shampoo. I would not recommend using a clarifying shampoo more than once a week as it is very drying, and if you’re someone who does not use a lot of out of shower products such as dry shampoo, use clarifying shampoo even less frequently if at all. A double cleanse is great if you go a few days in between washes. The first wash will remove dirt, oils and build up, and the second one to really cleanse the scalp and hair. You may find that the first wash will not suds up very much, that is normal. Avoid scrunching the hair when washing, that can cause unnecessary friction and damage. Lastly, splitting the hair in vertical sections can help assure the hair is rinsed thoroughly.

I was going to say this, thank you 🥰 hair doctors don't really recommend using a clarifying shampoo more than once a month/every three weeks for your "regular" person, imagine what one would say if they knew she was using one 3 times per week 😂

I DO THAT TOO!! (Sticking the hair on the wall in the shower) 🤩😂😂 I honestly never heard anyone else who does that too so I'm super excited now and was literally shouting when you said that! 😄🤣 Honestly, it's such a good tip to do if you got long hair. I leave it on the wall until it dries out and then grabs it with a piece of toilet paper to sweep it off the wall. Makes cleaning the shower out of your hair so much more easier!!

I use the Murad clarifying body spray. It is a LIFE SAVER. Now I'm paranoid about not using it and I always always use it. If you're struggling with bacne, I highly recommend you give it a try. Also any kind of face wash that you find works for blemishes on your face, use it on your back too. I understand bacne struggles!

Have you tried the Medicube Soyxidil Shampoo? I would love your opinion on it, right now it's a BOGO sale so it's like $38 for bottles of shampoo. Or even the Medicube body wash you mention is $34 for two bottles. So stock up on your fave. I actually never tried but might now bc of your review. Does the body wash help with anti-aging or sagging skins?

I love the FAB scrub for my lower body because I get pretty bad kp due to shaving. I use it only once a week and it helped get rid of that condition. For the hair, I wash my scalp first, then a second wash for the whole hair. And I stick my fallen hair on the wall too! 😁👍. When I do a facial mask, I keep the extra serum for my next shower and use the leftover serum on my body and seal it in with a rich moisturizer. Cheers Fel!

I'm terrible when it comes to body care. I use all those perfumed soaps and glittery body lotions. The Dove cream shower creams are my favourite that I've been using for years, and the body lotions I pick have to smell nice which I know isn't good but I can't bring myself to use an unfragranced body lotion, which is totally different from my face where I go fragrance free. I like the Victorias secret lotions and the Garnier ones

Clarifying shampoo is also really great if 1) your scalp gets oily and you live in a hard water area, and/or 2) you regularly use hair products, especially with any fry shampoo build-up. I was more of the latter and using a clarifying shampoo has really helped and using it with my regular shampoo. The one by Neutrogena is really cheap with a couple different prices and I've found it to be very effective.
