At first i didn’t understand but now i see your question. It’s only 3 for the first attempt, as when you cross the door in that area you're going back again to the previous area but with more distortion. Each time you go back, more enemies will appear. I believe its in the third time but its been so long, yeah just go further in the level. Hope this helped you.
