      What took Otto likely years of work with millions of dollars of funding, Tony Stark managed to make in less time (give or take,)

      in a cave,
      with a box of scraps.

      Octavius's device had to be more energy dense, maybe even by orders of magnitude. It didn't just fuse a bit of hydrogen together, the machine was intended to cage an entire micro-star that was self-sustaining once activated. I would bet money that Tony would take one look at Otto's machine and call him a crazy son of a bitch for essentially trying to put a star in a box.

Brilliant use of the environment, with the fight starting on the bridge, moving onto the road sign and ending underneath the bridge. • @jeffthebaptist3602
      @jeffthebaptist3602 2 роки тому +149

      I guess. The issue with Doc Ock is that he really shouldn't be able to take a punch. Spiderman is super strong and fast compared to normal humans. Doc Ock has the arms that are strong and fast so they can keep up, but the rest of his body is normal middle-aged academic. If Spiderman punches him in the face or hits him with anything that isn't intercepted by the tentacles, he should get real hurt, real quick. There is a segment in Spiderman 2 where Doc takes one on the jaw from Tobey while they're fighting up the side of a building or something. Ock should have been out like a light or have the tentacles taking over or something. But it was like nothing happened. Knocked me right out of the movie.
      Ditto a character like Kingpin who is at the top of baseline human strength, but not super strong. Kingpin needs to beat Peter with strategy or henchmen or something, because he can't go toe-to-toe in a one-on-one. There's at least one scene in the comics where Peter kicks the ever-loving crap out the Kingpin because the Kingpin crossed the line with Peter's family.

One of the reasons in the comics his enemies keep on coming back is because he believes they can redeem themselves so he doesn't use his full strength on them, when Doc Ock took over Peter's body he accidentally broke Scorpions jaw ( who is apparently supposed to be physically stronger than Spidey ) and stated that Peter could have killed him with his strength many times over when he had the chance to.

      @Elthenar Рік тому +8

      @@Y0G0FU You can see some of that in the MCU. When Cap and Bucky fought, they were fairly even physically, Bucky's robot arm might have had a strength advantage. When Bucky fights Spidey, Peter catches that robot arm and is unthreatened by it to the point he was more in awe of the tech than any danger it posed. He just casually overpowered Bucky like some dad wrestling with his 7 year old.
      We only see Spider go HAM in the movies like twice. Once when Tobey fought Harry Osborn under the effects of the Venom suit. Second when Tom Holland fought Goblin at the end of this movie. MCU Spider was about to red mist Osborn if he hadn't been stopped.

Technically goblin was by the bomb in the trailer but when the first trailer dropped, I thought this was another Doc Ock in Tom Holland’s universe played by the same actor from the 2004 movie and that he’d be the main villain of the movie. But then the second trailer dropped and Strange explained how the spell brings in people from other universes so that’s when I got hyped. And then when watching the actual movie, when I heard Doc say “the power of the sun in the palm of my hand,” “you’re not Peter Parker” and telling strange that he knew a Peter Parker as spider man but it wasn’t Tom, that’s when I knew they brought back the same character from 2004 & that got me excited to see Tobey’s return. good stuff, this movie is a love letter to all spider man fans, absolute masterpiece

      It actually takes training to keep a level head in a life or death situation, that is why people get trampled to death in building fires rather than exiting the building quickly but in a orderly fashion. I have had to go through this myself for various trainings as various event organizers since when something major happens those in charge need to be in charge. It is also why at accidents most eye witness accounts are inaccurate since the adrenaline messes with the memory in the heat of the moment.

Some people are born with strong mental capabilities though.

    (if I’m not mistaken he’s like 17 or at least recently turned 18 when these events take place) so even though he’s been in a lot of battles and hard situations, he’s still a boy. Yeah Tom Holland irl is in his 20s but the character of Peter Parker in this universe is still just a kid.

Peter does hold back when fighting people, but I'd like to point out throughout the whole fight Peter only got a chance to punch Doc once 1:56 and he was too slow. The rest of the time he is blocking and dodging for his life. Otto is from barely out of the 90s New York, wireless was a pretty new thing even if the super hero world has AI and super strength serums, so him not considering bluetooth exists is both smart and really funny. Plus he actually didn't know he was in a more advanced universe, so he/and the arms AI heavily influencing his actions, probably assumed he was familiar with the nano tech.
