I had my hysterectomy 1 week ago today. I feel amazing! No bleeding, and very little pain. I haven't taken any pain medication since the day after surgery and I came home. I am so ready to get back to work. I didn't realize how bad off I was before the surgery. My color is back, no pain, no daily medication needed, and no bleeding. I only wish I had done this sooner.
I just had mines done last week. I'm right at a week post op. I went in having a partial laparoscopic hysterectomy. As soon as my doctor got inside my intestines was wrapped around my ovaries, uterus, and cervix. Both doctors told me and my family they have never experienced this and they have done almost 2000 surgeries. Went from minor outpatient surgery to a major surgery within seconds. I had bad scar tissue and infection inside. Thank God him and another doctor was able to get me back to 100%. I supposed to have had just my uterus taken out. Now I'm left with just my ovaries which is cool. I'm just blessed to be alive. When I woke up I was in shock, pain, angry, and hooked up to all kinds of machines with a catheter . I am very fit and work in aviation so I think my recovery should go well besides the gas pains and constipation pains. Milk of magnesia and prunes did the job and I took myself off of the pain meds 4 days after surgery. They are bad for your body. Just know this is a major surgery. Good luck and God bless us all🙏❤💪
I had mine a week ago I feel good just tired alot but walking helps and just need to take time .I had a full one and yea don't need pain meds coming around tho
I am 5 weeks post op, I had an abdominal hysterectomy. I am still having pain and discomfort, dizziness and still can not lift anything heavier then 5 lbs. Ladies please rest as much as possible, I didn't give myself that healing time and now regret it.
I’m almost 4 weeks post op abdominal hysterectomy. The pain is still there. It takes a it longer with this procedure. I’m looking forward to getting back to myself. I hope all is well with you.
I had my laproscopic hysterectomy 3 weeks ago today; first day I was sleepy and sore. By that nite my bowels were working fine and I never had to take pain killers. I'm feeling great now.

POD 4 from robotic hysterectomy. He also removed my Fallopian tubes but was able to spare my ovaries. I also got a bladder lift! It’s a redo of a redo, so I’m hopeful it’ll work but won’t be surprised if it doesn’t. I guess the more times it gets lifted, the less of a chance it’ll stay that way. Walking for me is going a little slow, but that’s ok. I’ll get there. I’ve been told not to push myself too hard so I’m trying to be good and rest. I was given 8 weeks for recovery and was told not to lift over a coffee mug 😁 Good luck if yours is coming up. HysterSisters unite!
Thanks so much! I just went to my 3 week appointment check up and the doctor didn’t mention any of this today or in my previous post op appointment!! Thank God for UA-cam and your channel!!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
So true I feel like I need therapy after this I’m dealing with so many complications physically at 10 weeks still pains actually worse . Maybe cuz I’m walking more idk even sitting at the table hurts
I am 1 week post op of a total laparoscopic hysterectomy, spotted for less than a week, constipation for 3 days, and bloat/swelling went down in about 5 days. The worst part has been straining a muscle in my leg due to walking protectively in the first few days, which is the majority of my pain now. I really suggest a full time care giver of some sort for the first few days to ensure meds and food are timely.
I just had a vaginal hysterectomy a week ago and the doc didn't get everything out because of so much scare tisue....after 8 hours of my operation I couldn't breathe and extremely painful...I started crashing they took me back into operating table and opened my belly up and took out 2 half of blood and found the source of the bleeding.. from that i had parshal lung collapsed and damage to my heart now. ..three blood transfusions.....so far this was the scariest thing I have ever went through... please everyone know this is major surgery please make sure you know the risks...I'm ok but long way from receiving fully
Whoa! My doc has me out of work for 8 weeks. I guess she'd rather be safe than sorry. I had a complete hysterectomy 4 days ago, Laparoscopic. The pain is about as bad as my cramps were. It was mostly the gas they pump into you. Now it's just sleepiness and a bit of nausea from the pain meds...which I'm about to stop. Norco always makes me gag. Incisions itch like crazy. Overall it isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and I'm on the Estrodiol patch already.
THANK YOU for this informative and helpful information. This is stuff that I wish my female doctor would have mentioned. I have had no explanations of any kind. She doesn’t want to give me any hormones or medicine and any kind. I had a complete hysterectomy and I’m 42 years old.
I had my hysterectomy a month ago. I was in the operating room for more than 1 hour. My operation is so fast that I am still conscious of what are the medical staff and my doctors are doing to me. I can hear what they're saying but because of anesthesia, I can't feel anything. The only pain I felt was the gas build up inside my stomach after 2 days of operation, but can be relieved through walking. Now I'm on my way to recovery, I have some spots but I feel no pain at all.
i have severe heavy bleeding during my periods which last up 10 days, this with a combination of chronic iron deficiency anemia (4 was the last lab from last week) low hemoglobin count (6-8) and GI (diverticulitis) issues are basically the reasons why I'm considering this procedure. Had a biopsy, along with a pap smear, and ultrasound done yesterday, as well as a round of ferritin infusion. I know from a previous exam that I have a cyst, I'm usually experiecing painful cramps, bloating, and inconsistent bowel movements along with anxiety, and high blood pressure (pending official diagnosis), and intense migraines. My dr prescribed Norenthindrone but I'm scared to take it because I'm a smoker, and read about the side effects in regards to nausea, mood swings, depression etc. She suggested UID but also read the pros and cons and I much rather have a hysterectomy since I already have my tubes tied instead of dealing with up to six months of side effect of the UID. I would prefer to deal with the 6-8 weeks post op rest, I am not working and will have support while recovering, what is your opinion?
I'm 2 weeks post op and I feel really good....I can honestly say I was able to get around well quite quickly and I was able to do some like work from the bed about 5 days post op. My first week was great but I started to struggle and feel like crap during the 2nd week due to constipation and gas - the pain made me really miserable and I had the worse cramps I have ever experienced in my life. Brought tears to my eyes at least a few times. I failed to realize how important it was to take stool softener post op. The best advice I would give to anyone prepping for surgery is get active before it if you're not, maintain a good diet during your recovery, keep moving (don't lay around in bed all day) and PLEASE take stool softeners and Simethicone right after surgery or do a partial cleaning pre op - this wasn't pushed hard enough and unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way. By the way, Dr. Valenti is actually the doctor that did my surgery and I highly recommend him. He has significant experience, talked to me and treated me like I mattered, answered all my questions, great bedside manner and is very thorough. Unfortunately, I had two deal with two other insensitive jerks before I found him. Thankful!
I am waiting to be released from the hospital I am fine!! Sore, achy but nothing horrible! You will be okay!! They didn't tell me this, but, lower back pain after is common. So be prepared for that! Not to bad! Just ready to go home!
Lish Snead you need to read all these cause this is the reality. I had mine a month ago and there were no complications but I feel like shit. Nothing feels normal to me. I have no energy and feel like crying all the time. Also there was a lot of pain involved. This is not a joke.
I had mine 5 days ago I feel a bit better each day. No I am not 100%. No I never said it was a joke. Yes it is painful and uncomfortable. That is why they encourage walking as much as you can tolerate, drinking lots of water, rest, not lifting...follow the doctors orders. No one said it was a joke Like I said. I had mine 5 days ago. First few days were awful but, with perseverance and patience and A GOOD SURGEON I am starting to feel much better.
6 days post-op. 1:55 am. "Im not sleeping." I know this pain is worth it in the end, but this pain makes me wonder when the "end". This is childbirth times 2.
Yup! That’s me! I am about 2.5 weeks post op, but I was up and about post op day 2! I cooked and rest and walked and rest! Climbing up stairs, do the laundry! Thanks God for that I was okay!
Thanks for this video. It was really helpful. I just got mine yesterday and I'm having trouble sleeping now. But I'm sure is the meds wearing off too. My instestines keeps growling, is that okay? I only ate one meal yesterday after surgery though and took a stool softener with my pain meds after. That could be it too.
Hi I had Total Hysterectomy last year in December. And few days after I caught Sepsis. It’s been 8 months but my lower abdomen still swells up every day soon as I get up from bed. I am doing everything normal. But this swelling start annoying me now. Please advice Many Thanks
I am 17 days postop davinci hysterectomy with salpingo-oophorectomy. Week one was awful but I have other health issues and my first bowel movement sent me to ER. week 2 I felt relief and did more but developed allergy to HRT so had to stop it. All of sudden going into week 3 I'm bad again needing pain meds and mostly in bed. Low energy and lots of pulling and pains and finally seeing some light brown discharge. Apparently this is normal for some women. No smell or fever but realized last week I bent over alot with my dogs and believed that set me back. Just sleeping and resting waiting to see what week 4 brings 🤞 wish there were more week by week experience post from women. They are comforting
@@Starr-lett finally almost 100 % better. It took me more like 6 months then 3. I didn't even have sex till week 12. I had some granulated tissue and pain and spotting after week 6 but that was taken care of. In week 12 my pain make management doctor tried vaginal valium for me and it stopped all the residual pain. My gyn wouldn't order and it's a shame because it really helped. My energy is finally up and better then before surgery because I was allergic to the hormone therapy and birth control so I think my normal estrogen was causing flares and without any estrogen I feel fantastic. Hot flashes suck but agree you've dealt with such bad pain and low energy they are worth it. Just keep cold water on you at all times and a cold wash cloth and fan by bed.
I'm glad your doing better. I'm taking progesterone for bleeding but it is not very effective. Gyno says I will probably need hysterectomy. I'm so scare of my bladder getting ruined. Iam over weight but recently lost 11 pounds. I'm hoping to lose more before actually going under. By the way how old are you? I'm 53.
@@Starr-lett I'm 39. I did have some bladder issues after surgery but they all resolved with healing. Probably lasted 4months.. urgency couldn't hold it and some spasm feelings but now at 6 months everything gone. Could be vaginal valium helping also
@@Starr-lett I went thru pain and times when I thought I made a mistake having surgery I was miserable. Ppl say davinci so easy but it wasn't for me. But now this far out looking back in happy I did it. I'm much better just not back to fully normal intercorse yet but some of that is my own nerves about the vaginal cuff healing slow for me
I'm getting a laparoscopic total hysterectomy , bilateral salpingectomy, cystoscopy in a couple weeks but I'm already postmenopausal like 6 or 7 yrs ago. This is for precancerous condition. All that I'll have is my ovaries left. Will I need a stool softener like I keep hearing and what all will I need to take to the hospital. I already know about fb group.
I got mine done almost 6 weeks ago (I go Thursday for my check up) I did and felt amazing after until going into my 4th week. I'm now bleeding and sometimes heavy. I have not did anything different , I have been walking a lot and the other day I had to so a little running to catch my flight. Any ideas?
Had a hysterectomy on April 11 2017. Had no idea my vagina was stitched shut till my 1 week check up. My most painful day was that night dealing with the gas pains in my chest/shoulders etc. that pain was horrible! Still under Dr. care but doing good, took about 2 weeks before I felt well enough to be me and my skin color came back, I was greenish and looked horrible .
Precious Moments my surgery was April 10 2017 , I was surprised as well when I found out mine was stitched shut too , It has been 6 weeks now and I am so nervous of resuming my sexual activity with my husband I pray it is not different 😞 The only thing I am excited about is my tummy tuck that I had done along with my abdominal hysterectomy
Ok he said that you can come back to work after two weeks and at the end of the video he said rest for six or eight weeks so my question is how many weeks is good to be at home resting after surgery?
Jacqueline Coppola It depends if you are having a laparoscopic hysterectomy or abdominal hysterectomy. Laparoscopic is 1 to 2 weeks and Abdominal is 6 to 8 weeks
Not true!! I had mine laparoscopically and it's been one month!! My doctor said it will take at least one more moth to recover. At this time, I feel like a ton of bricks have hit me. No way I can imagine going to work.
Jacqueline Coppola it depends on the job you do and the surgery you had. If you work where there is a lot of lifting then it is recommended that you take eight weeks or longer off. It doesn’t mean stay in bed the entire time where as you can go for walks but just regain a little energy each day to avoid constipation and blood clots
10/12/22 This is when I had my full Hesterectmony including ovaries removed. I want to know why I get a cramping feeling while peeing but when I finish it stop, Please respond.
The uterus is continuous with the cervix, which is continuous with the vagina, much in the way that your head is continuous with your neck, which is continuous with your shoulders. The vaginal canal is the area between the vulva, the opening into the vagina, and the vaginal tissue that surrounds and is continuous with the part of the cervix that protrudes into the top of the vagina from the uterus. In other words, the top of the vaginal tissue is continuous with the uterus at the cervical os, which is the opening to the cervix. The vaginal canal is composed of soft tissue that can stretch and elongate. A vaginal vault is not part of the normal female anatomy. The vaginal canal is made into a vaginal vault when a gynecologist surgically removes the uterus and cervix and sutures the top of the vagina closed. The surgical closing of the top of the vagina results in a loss of the vaginal tissue’s ability to stretch and elongate. A partial hysterectomy is removal of the body of the uterus, leaving a cervical stump. With a partial hysterectomy the top of the cervical stump is sutured shut. A total hysterectomy is surgical removal of both the body of the uterus and the cervix. During a total hysterectomy, a surgeon cuts into the top of the vagina around the cervix, creating a hole in the top of the vagina. The gynecologist then pulls the edges of the remaining tissue together, and sutures the top of the vagina shut, making the vagina into a shortened, closed pocket. This is similar to the way that fabric is sewn together to make clothing. The more material that is included in sewing a seam, the smaller the garment. The amount of vaginal tissue that is removed from around the cervix is at the discretion of the surgeon, and varies from doctor to doctor. As illustrated in medical journals, some doctors say a post-hysterectomy vaginal length of 5cm is long enough, some think the vagina should be 9cm, and others think 3-4cm is “adequate.” After the vagina is sutured closed at the top, it is stitched to one or more of the severed ligaments. Because the sutures do not always hold, some women experience prolapse of the vagina. The vagina may prolapse through the opening of the vagina, much like a pocket that is turned inside out. The profound physical changes women experience after hysterectomy are far reaching. The fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, and vagina are interconnected with networks of muscles, broad bands of ligaments, bundles of nerves, arteries, and veins. When they are severed, as they are when the uterus is removed, the damage is extensive. With the cervix and uterus as the anatomical anchor at the center of the female pelvis, the uterine ligaments provide structural integrity and support to the pelvic bones and pelvic organs. For example, the uterosacral ligament attaches to the uterus and to the sacrum in the lower back. So when the uterus is removed during hysterectomy, the severing of the structural support to the uterus affects all of the pelvic organs, the lower back, and the skeletal structure. Whether a hysterectomy is “total” or “partial,” all of the ligaments, nerves, and blood supply attached to the uterus must be severed to remove the uterus. Structural support, blood flow, and sensation in the remaining tissue is compromised or lost entirely. For more information about the different
Hi! I am one and a half weeks post laparoscopic hysterectomy (5-16-17), and beginning at the one-week mark (5-23-17), I've noticed discharge similar to that described in forums as the vaginal stitches dissolving (i.e. orange-ish color and mild odor). Is this normal to experience so soon after the surgery?
Hello sir in 2013 I had thyroid surgery thy removed both glands coz of tumour nw I had hysterectomy 3 weeks back thy removed overis too. Now can l go for walk. And my abdominal is paining some time n my back also paining. Most of the people saying after hysterectomy complications will occur.is it true ? If it is true pl suggest me wt type of complications will come
Katie Sinclair Hi Katie, I was very nervous too but it’s been 12 days post-op for me. I had laparoscopic hysterectomy, both ovaries left in. First couple weeks for me has been a bit rough at times. Only taking ibuprofen and Tylenol as needed at this point. I find that the pains come and go. I still have no regrets doing this surgery. But, please take it slow. I’m a very active person, works out, etc. the hardest part for me is forcing myself to be sedentary. But, you have to for healing properly. Listen to your body, rest. I hope you are doing well thus far. God Bless 🙏🏼💖
They had to cut me open I had 2 cyst the size of a 14 week old baby I also lost 400 cc of blood but other than that i feel back to my old happy smiling self
Crystal Kacmar - I hope it goes super well! One thing that helps that most people don't think of is to get hydrated BEFORE the surgery, as most of us are dehydrated. Ideal amount is half your body weight in ounces. (So if you weigh 120 pounds, drink 60 oz of water a day). Watercure website has great info.
5 weeks after TAH, I feel something weird 'hanging' or urging to come out from genitaliA. I read about prolapse as a common complaint. What do I do? I feel scared.
Its been 5 years I had a parshel hysterectomy iven been in paind all morning like im on my period ......ive been haveing real bad pain from the bottom of my stumick to my lower back wat can i do to get rod of this pain
C M I've wondered the same thing as I have been taking inventory of the extreme amount of women here who has had and plan to have this surgery! What is really happening to women's reproductive health? I'm alarmed, is anybody else?🤔... "YIKES!"😳
@@CM-ch3lp Very sorry to hear that of members in your family. I hardly hear of anyone mentioning they have issues thereafter or regrets. But I can't see otherwise how removing significant parts in your body doesn't result to some type of consequence?
Typically they're a last resort for medical issues. I had to have one because I had a very large mass causing mine to be 6x the size of a normal uterus.
I will be going through hysterectomy in two weeks. As I understand, this surgery will induce menopause. Is this surgery going to affect my mental abilities? I am doing my PhD defence in three months, so I just want to make sure this sudden menopause doesn't affect my memory and mental capacity. What some of the patients wrote about brain fog after hysterectomy, really terrified me. What do you think about the effects of this surgery?
for me, not really good. after surgery I've been told that I can't carry heavy things, but as a single mom, I have to run my life and my children, I had to be able to do grocery and adding to that a move, so I couldn't obey those recommendations :( after 3 months I have spotting :(
can I get another cervix after 5 year's of my hyerectum? I would like to know, and have another baby. I can still feel myself ovulate when I am in another monthly cycle. please let me know if I can. thank you
Falynn Green once your uterus is gone that's it you can't have anymore children your doctor should of counsel you on your options before you had the surgery most doctors ask you about children before before they suggest a hyst
Hysterectomies cause constipation because the bowel drops down so does the bladder .then you have nerve pain incontinence of the bladder and bowel oh yea a cystocele and menopause makes everything 100 times worse. Dont have it
Worst surgery. Unless it's life saving, it actually spoils your life. I am still unable to accept it. They scared me in the name of cancer. But after hysterectomy they said it's. negative. Can never forgive the doctors for stealing my life. life.
Make them talk !! Ask a lot of questions !! And do research beforehand via internet. Suprise them with YOUR knowledge. Jamaican doctors have to learn as well that it is YOUR body and your concern and they are cutting something out. A good doctor will take away your fear and understand.
No. I didn’t. I felt like he was clearly and concisely giving great explanations. Remember-not everyone’s education is the same so health care professionals must speak in easy to understand ways.
I’m at 10 weeks so sore some days when I do normal walking at stores or sit at the table for hours . Pain meds didn’t work today like they normally do . Ibuprofen. I got cut vertically up and down. What if four rounds of antibiotics didn’t get rid of BV three kinds of meds like flagyl etc. it improved but didn’t get rid of symptoms 100% nor natural remedies

Me too after 2 blood transfusion the insurance wouldn't pay for another unless I was in surgery because I kept bleeding the blood back out
You get biopsy done to make sure tumors aren't cancerous or they are not opening up
I'm 2 weeks post op and I feel really good....I can honestly say I was able to get around well quite quickly and I was able to do some like work from the bed about 5 days post op. Thankful!
this helps a lot...especially the part about the bleeding. THANK YOU
As I am having mine tomorrow I will stay out of the comments. Thanks for the added anxiety ladies 🙄
Lish Snead hru .i have mine next month they are scaring me to death
I am waiting to be released from the hospital
I am fine!! Sore, achy but nothing horrible! You will be okay!! They didn't tell me this, but, lower back pain after is common. So be prepared for that! Not to bad! Just ready to go home!
Lish Snead im happy you are good . plz get lots of rest . take care of yourself and keep us updated .i have mine feb 2nd .im super scared
Lish Snead you need to read all these cause this is the reality. I had mine a month ago and there were no complications but I feel like shit. Nothing feels normal to me. I have no energy and feel like crying all the time. Also there was a lot of pain involved. This is not a joke.
I had mine 5 days ago
I feel a bit better each day. No I am not 100%. No I never said it was a joke. Yes it is painful and uncomfortable. That is why they encourage walking as much as you can tolerate, drinking lots of water, rest, not lifting...follow the doctors orders. No one said it was a joke
Like I said. I had mine 5 days ago. First few days were awful but, with perseverance and patience and A GOOD SURGEON I am starting to feel much better.
After total hysterectomy means both ovaries also removed what should I have safety about heart and bones health
6 days post-op. 1:55 am. "Im not sleeping." I know this pain is worth it in the end, but this pain makes me wonder when the "end". This is childbirth times 2.
You're supposed to take it easy the first two weeks, I didn't I was out and about the next day after surgery with no problems
Yup! That’s me! I am about 2.5 weeks post op, but I was up and about post op day 2! I cooked and rest and walked and rest! Climbing up stairs, do the laundry! Thanks God for that I was okay!
I’m a week and 3 days in, feels like nothing was done besides this one incision I feel great
After hysterectomy my mom not able to sleep..anybody here had such an experience?
Thank you Dr.maduka who helps my mum out from fibroid
I think I have depression on and off so like mood swings, I can’t stand it but I understand what it is so I remind myself
You are the best! Everything I wanted to know! Thanks! Thanks!
Hi, what country are you from?
So happy I did it they found more tumors once they opened me up that they didn't find with the ultra sound
Thank you .Good to hear about it
I'm a Transgender guy and about 5 years on T you're supposed to get a hysto... so I'm pretty scared even though I haven't started T yet and yea
Hi I had Total Hysterectomy last year in December. And few days after I caught Sepsis. It’s been 8 months but my lower abdomen still swells up every day soon as I get up from bed. I am doing everything normal. But this swelling start annoying me now.
Please advice
Many Thanks
Special appreciation to Dr Aluda on UA-cam for eradicating my wife's multiple Fibroids .God bless you Vanessa for directing us to Dr Aluda
How are you doing today?
I'm much better just not back to fully normal intercorse yet but some of that is my own nerves about the vaginal cuff healing slow for me
I had my hysterectomy August 5th and very little bleeding that lasted one day
I'm getting a laparoscopic total hysterectomy , bilateral salpingectomy, cystoscopy in a couple weeks but I'm already postmenopausal like 6 or 7 yrs ago.
Any ideas?
How did it work out?
Two weeks out. Is it normal to still feel an achey feeling lower abdomen?
3 weeks I'm bleeding and have a terrible odor. I had all kinds of issues.
Ok he said that you can come back to work after two weeks and at the end of the video he said rest for six or eight weeks so my question is how many weeks is good to be at home resting after surgery?
He said it depends on how invasive the surgery is and what type of work you do.

I'm day 3 post op, and feel extremely bloated. I've had small Bowel movement but I'm concerned.
As illustrated in medical journals, some doctors say a post-hysterectomy vaginal length of 5cm is long enough, some think the vagina should be 9cm, and others think 3-4cm is “adequate.”
After the vagina is sutured closed at the top, it is stitched to one or more of the severed ligaments.

Wow! I just learned way more reading your post that I did from my surgeon. Lol.
With a total hysterectomy what do I have left in there
Thank you, Dr. Joseph.
Presley Johnson,. Did your vaginal discharge had any smell to it? I was in one week after hysterectomy and saw pinkish discharge down my legs
If it is true pl suggest me wt type of complications will come
Having my hysterectomy today kinda nervous about it.
It’s been 2 weeks now and feel great thanks
They had to cut me open I had 2 cyst the size of a 14 week old baby I also lost 400 cc of blood but other than that i feel back to my old happy smiling self
Katie Sinclair, Glad to hear that Katie. It gets better and better each week. : )
I'm having a partial hysterectomy on August 8th. I'm beyond stressed because I'm a high risk patient.
After 2 months abdominal Hysterectomy (uterus, ovaries ,& omentum)incision mark turned little reddish & thick ... is it normal?
5 weeks after TAH, I feel something weird 'hanging' or urging to come out from genitaliA. I read about prolapse as a common complaint. What do I do? I feel scared.
Its been 5 years I had a parshel hysterectomy iven been in paind all morning like im on my period ......ive been haveing real bad pain from the bottom of my stumick to my lower back wat can i do to get rod of this pain
Isabel Martinez if you still have your ovaries you can still have a cramping feeling but no period.
Are hysterectomies really necessary?
C M I've wondered the same thing as I have been taking inventory of the extreme amount of women here who has had and plan to have this surgery! What is really happening to women's reproductive health? I'm alarmed, is anybody else?🤔... "YIKES!"😳
I know right? My sisters and my friends all have had hysterectomies and they all have problems. I have not had one and
I have no problems.
Hello , please can you explain me I feel confused.
Why a Doctor tell a woman she can't get pregnant after she is doing mymioctomy.
Mt friend delivered 2 babies after this. But they cannot stretch more and babies were under weight, but they are healthy.
Very good!!
How did it go? My understanding is that the menopause does affect your mood and mind.
for me, not really good. after surgery I've been told that I can't carry heavy things, but as a single mom, I have to run my life and my children, I had to be able to do grocery and adding to that a move, so I couldn't obey those recommendations :( after 3 months I have spotting :(
TheSkinnyFairy when you have a hysterectomy they leave the overies which is what produces the homones you need
can I get another cervix after 5 year's of my hyerectum? I would like to know, and have another baby. I can still feel myself ovulate when I am in another monthly cycle. please let me know if I can. thank you
Falynn Green once your uterus is gone that's it you can't have anymore children your doctor should of counsel you on your options before you had the surgery most doctors ask you about children before before they suggest a hyst

I would really like to hear some comments from women here in Trinidad anad Tobago..
Excellent
going to have one done but I am scared
Romancy Martin meee toooo:/
Hysterectomies cause constipation because the bowel drops down so does the bladder .then you have nerve pain incontinence of the bladder and bowel oh yea a cystocele and menopause makes everything 100 times worse. Dont have it
But do first cancer test. If necessary then go for surgery. Otherwise it is really horrible. Go for homeopathic or ayurvedic treatment first
Worst surgery. Unless it's life saving, it actually spoils your life. I am still unable to accept it. They scared me in the name of cancer. But after hysterectomy they said it's. negative. Can never forgive the doctors for stealing my life. life.
Jamaican doctors don't talk with there patient.they just do ur surgery like that
Make them talk !! Ask a lot of questions !! And do research beforehand via internet. Suprise them with YOUR knowledge. Jamaican doctors have to learn as well that it is YOUR body and your concern and they are cutting something out. A good doctor will take away your fear and understand.
Does any one else feel like he was "mansplaining" this? It felt like I was being talked down to.
No.
