I’m redoing a dresser and bought new handles for it I was just curious how other people go about it and I love how you went over everything, I appreciate the video🙏🏻
I agree, the generic jigs they sell for marking holes never hit dead center. I measured mine out like you but then i made a quick design and 3D printed my own jig. Worked like a charm.
Excellent work Jim the kitchen is going to looking outstanding. Just think I can have my mechanic visit me at home work on my car then demo my kitchen. I knew I picked a good one 🤣😂 Afterwards we go fishing at the lake
I recently bought drawer and cabinet handles and ordered the templates in addition and low and behold none of the holes line up with my dead center either. Ugh. Thank goodness for UA-cam tutorials!
Good tutorial. but I would use a ‘try square’ just set the depth from the top of the drawer front and with your pencil against the bottom edge of the ruler then scribe (draw) your line across. much easier than using a horizontal ruler which is not as accurate.you can also use the same technique from the side of the drawer.

Glad it was helpful!

Same and I never thought about the tape. I’ve been making dots all over the fronts with pencil and trying to erase

True Position Tools jig. By time you are done measuring the first door the way you are doing it, you could have had several drawers done.
.

I am scared -- I can't do it, but I can't find anyone to do the installation because they want to install cabinets as well.
Me too😬😬😬😬

You just take too long…And complicated…
There’s much easier ways of doing it. You need a square
Buy a cabinet jig.. they are like 8$ to 10$... save your self the aggregation
.
I have one for cabinets and drawers.....they don't always go "dead center"......like he said.
“As you can see”... No, I can’t see, actually, because the camera is so far away.
Nest time I make a FREE video for you I will be more careful but thanks for watching anyway.
