Whenever I see Mayer perform I truly don't understand why the UK has got its head up its butt and ignores him. We like a pop tune, we like happiness, we love 80's 90's style so what's not to love? Odd. The mans a huge talent.
Thank goodness someone finally said it! We citizens of the planet bleeth don't ignore good audio assemblage , we're big fans here. If they disappear for a week or two, we just snaffled them for a concert! Promise we won't eat them!
Hawthorne has one of those rare white-guy voices that can legitimately sing soul-r&b-pop. These tunes are sophisticated and fun. Grossly Underrated IMO.

So many great late 70's and early 80's R&B influences in Tuxedo's music. Their guitar picking reminds me of Nile Rodgers (Chic) and the synth bass on the second track reminds me of S.O.S. band.

Gavin Turek is absolutely one of my favorite singers and performers! This is my first time seeing her on this NPR performance. She undoubtedly has the discography and talent to do her own Tiny Desk now!
