An epic weekend of fun on my 56th birthday October 9. I made reservations in April when they announce the concert. We stood at Indian Wells $250 a night. Perfect weather, Friday night, Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones. Saturday, Neil Young, Paul McCartney, Sunday, The Who, and Pink Floyd. Truly one of the most amazing weekends in my life!
Thanks for posting. I was on some edibles but at the time I said this was the best song I had ever seen in concert. And I've seen a lot of them. 33 Grateful Dead shows among them and 7 other Neil Young concerts. My wife and I agreed that the best show of the 6 was Neil and Promise of the Real. Although the Who were awesome as well.
1985 at the Minnesota State Fair grandstand, Neil performed a 15 minute "Down By The River" I still can't get out of my head....minor notes at the dramatic places in the song and the audience was reduced to tears. Stunned silence. The next day the newspapers tried to capture what happened. Best concert I've ever seen, and I've been to some good ones.
This man clearly gets better with age. My god this is an amazing version. What a jam by a legend! I fucking died and went to heaven listening to this! Sweet Jesus!!
It’s 101 degrees in the Texas heat, and I JUST GOT CHILLS!!! Talk about talented, love the way I’m pulled in and mesmerized by the performance. I’m feelin’ it, keep it coming!!
so I apparently posted on this a year ago. But what a fantastic song, the whole band is in on it and having fun. This is a great example of why it is worth going to concerts. Fucking A.
I love you Neil Percival Young Together ❤ Forevermore!
