Andrew here in Ireland if I have a cow I need to Take up she is not with herd she comes in last I think it is best way you can get distracted as regard the calfs do not let out until they are 6 month of age archiving great results
Ive done this before as i did something out of routine and left the tap till last and completely forgot 😢 Then had to tell dad. Geez i couldn't tell the workers till later that day I was really embarrassed
No ice cream for you this month. Thats what my farther said to me when I forgot to put the milk pipe in the vat and half the milking went down the drain before it was noticed. That was in 1968
It hapened to us ones cant remember the literage 40 yrs ago but luck had it our insurance paid, dad was in charge then he was keen to cover all events through ins, dont understand how you can store that milk and still feed, surely it sour cheese in a couple of weeks!!
It won't even make it to the factory as the Tankers test the milk as it's a penicillin / antibiotic test as if it fails the test the milk will stay in the Tanker as they will dump the milk
Hi Andrew, quick question. Is sour milk not a problem for your calves and would you need to warm that before feeding it? Great channel, picked up lots tips from you already. Thanks
Hey mate, seems to keep fine if you constantly stir it up, I have a pump in the tank and just turn it on everyday, I usually do add fresh milk in with it so its not so gluggy but calves dont mind
Ive done this, it is the worst feeling and watching all the milk go down the drain sucks and then watching the effluent pond turn white. It has turned me into a paranoid freak tbh 😶

Accidents happen Andrew, you did well to spot it in time. At least you're going to put it to good use 🖒
It’s happens mate, although it sticks in our mind afterwards!
Looking forward to beating ya’s in the rugby this weekend 😜👍
Love the confidence 😉
We’re the underdogs, got nothing to loose 😂 should be a great game!

How long wil that milk in the green tank stay good for? Best of luck in the rugby on Saturday. May the best team win. Come on ireland 😊
Don’t think that there will be a dairy anywhere that something similar has happened. At least you are able to use it for the calves. 🏴
Misericórdia que prejuízo enorme 🤦🏻♂️,espero que tudo se resolva um abraço aqui do Brasil...
Hello never seen this issue but at least you are able to use it. Have a great day.
We used to red paint the penicillin cows across the hocks and down back legs to prevent that mistake.
Still cracks me up that trucks spread your lime 😂

Everyone makes mistakes mate atleast the milk wasn't wasted fully, which is the main thing.
How long can you keep the milk ?
I'm wondering the same thing. In Canada it's not a practice.
I like your video

😢
Then had to tell dad.

Good spot, hard hand but well played!
We bought a tanker load one time. That was expensive 25 years ago.
We all done it 😮
Why not use a weight tape for weighing the calves?
Hi I like your video
Bugger about the milk, but at least you didn't have to throw it all out.
Love the Video!
Worst feeling ever mate, feel your pain I really do!
👀🙄🐾👍Oh dear Andrew we all make mistakes best layed plans of mice and men
Its hatefull dumping the milk but your reputation is important and its good you spotted it wouldnt be nice getting a fine either
So in your experience the milk self preserves ok even with antibiotics in it for one month provided it is agitated ever day...?
It goes a bit like yoghurt but if you mix it with a bit of fresh milk it’s not to bad and the calves get used to it 👍
Bugger, at least you have plenty of calf milk now.
Accidents happen, How do you stop the milk in the big green tank from becoming rancid before feeding it to the calves??
Will the milk go bad in the hot weather? In that big green tank
At least not if it's refrigerated or another option is a cooler is attached to the green tank then the milk will still be good for the calves

Yip insurance will cover that tanker
However since you dumped it insurance will cover that anyway

Do you put yougurt or am additive into the milk? How does it last so long?
I always got told weaning weights for friesian were 85kg min jersey were 80kg that's from a ver in north land
You’re so nice about it. Dud you miss the red paint and milk a pen cow?
What a pain but better to realise than to send a vat full of contaminated milk!

How long will the milk last in the big green tank before spoiling?
A day. But it's New Zealand so they don't care too much
@mart7182 so if he feeds 150 liters a day, the milk will last about 21 days. That's nasty for the calves
@@gregsullivan8956yes it definitely is.

Will you be watching Ireland hammer the All Blacks on Saturday?
How many liters of milk do you average in peek
How long will that milk last for thec

its definitely something you don't want to do twice haha
Milk should last 7-10 days then is it will go tangy..But still ok for calfs
hello, was that a whole day's worth of milk? greetings
Surly u put in a insurance claim for that milk?
We had to put 16,000 down the drain the other day forgot to close Vat😢
As a farm inspector in the US i
We use dna calf it has everything in it
That was a costly mistake fer sure
I forgot door seal -300L 🤦 😂😂
So none of it went down the drain?! Seems like you moved a months calf "milk tax in one day; that's a win right?
Why don't you bottle the spoilt milk and sell it as a beauty product - Jersey bath milk!!!
