One of my biggest recommendation for player that's going to transition into Scouter, buy legendary engraving for barricade, it's dirt cheap now and will be second most expensive book (after grudge) once Scouter/Arcana get introduced.
It is one of the cheapest legendary engravings in RU (if we count only viable ones, that people use in endgame) costing only ~2,2k gold per book. But yeah a sudden spike in price in NA/EU on release of scouter might definitely happen.

it's still good to have if you want to play gunlancer that being said until we get to the possibility to go 3x5 getting legendary books is not that efficient it will save you some money for sure but you have to consider how many characters would use that engraving for it to be worth if you are going to only invest for 1 character it's not worth it

People don't need to stress too much for now, a 3-1 took me all the way to 1370 with ease and from then I transitioned to 3-3-1 and for now that is enough. Anymore is just a waste of money because content doesn't require more.

well i hit 1340 just yesterday and have my class engraving and first engraving on purple. This is decent enough for most bosses, runs etc since you get 2 lv 3 super easy with that. the 3rd one is a little tricky since you have to get a really good stone/accesory combination wich isnt worth the price in my opinion

So I would pay like 30-40k for accesory I use for 30 item levels. I rather keep my gold slowly upgrading my stuff and buy op legendary or even relic stuff on release.

Well i paid about 1,5-2k on eu for ambush master and cursed doll 3(which is btw really cheap in Most cases) and surge 1. Since surge is Most likely Used on LV 1 i am completely fine With that Setup and Most likely mvp. The Most hurting stuff is using pheons instead of the gold.
4x3 engraving is entirely possible, but the trick is in the last engraving. If you go full meta, you look at 3-5K gold per accessory atm. If you pick unorthodox non-meta last engraving(there are budget options, do some research), prices could go down to 300-400 per piece. And yes, you need a 6-6-x stone. Also, if you wanna gear ultra-cheap as mentioned here (for example at 1325) pick a double class engraving on the gear screen. I was able to gear my 3x3 glaiver for peanuts this way. 50 gold per accessory.
This is how I do 3333, get the 2 most expensive engravings on +9 books, get the same stone at 66x (that's already 2 maxed engravings) Class engraving legendary accessories (argos and oreha) always come with decent quality and with +3 class engraving, if you cheap and want only 333 wait for the right stats to drop, I'd you feeling spicy, buy all accessories from the market at +3 +3 with a cheap combat engraving that works for your class (for example spirit absorption). My suggestion is to not fall so hard lined into the meta (especially early Grudge, you don't fokin need Grudge until way later. Stop using it and making you life harder and group more painful for no reason. There are better options with our limited access to engravings). There is a secondary engraving for basically everything at this point. Basically a cheap and expensive option. An good example I was discussing with someone is Crisis Evasion compared to Emergency Rescue. They essentially serve the same purpose but for different playstyles. One is normally more expensive than the other. So focus on whatever is cheaper if you want it
Horrible advice, you are going to need grudge sooner or later in t3 anyways... The real advice is to not go grudge if you can't afford grudge 3 and your class engraving and anything else essential. For example if you can only slot grudge 2 along with essentials, go for adrenaline instead.

Like holy fuck I refuse to even group with people who use grudge at this point because they steal all the lives. If you are so bad at the game that you need grudge to make up for all your damage. You really shouldn't be using it and making every group you play in worse. As I've told many people. The only good DPS are alive DPS The difference when I had a full grudge group and full group of people who actually bothered learning engravings themselves instead of following whatever twitch streamers told them to do was night and day. The grudge group took 6 fucking hours and multiple reshufflings and the other group finished on the 2nd attempt. There are many situations where grudge isn't even that useful from a min maxing perspective. Really need to stop blanketly telling people to use it
@@TNTspaz I am still learning the game and doing all kinds of stupid mistakes. I run my DPS with heavy armor at this point to stay alive through the stupid stuff. Its been more than once that my char has been the last man standing to finish some guardian raid. I am sure it will change later when more optimal builds are required to even finish something. It might also be that I will never play that content as I am not a perfect raider and probably will never be.
Will there be more sources of legendary books in the future? Like now we have a welcome challenge event that gives you 10 purples for hitting 1340 and another 10 purples for clearing T3 boss rush. And also there is a racing event that sells purple selection packs that you can buyout weekly.
I wish these things were more accessible, people can swing some things on their mains but you see a lot of folks just giving up and winging it with whatever. It holds everyone else back in game, and I don't blame those people for it either, they just can't make it happen.
You dont really have to think to much on t2 about this, the abyss gives you lots of class engravings and you will probably focus on your class engraving + one level 3 engraving. The start of t3 tho is really painful, shity stones, shity accessories and no guarantee class engraving accessory until you hit 1370
As a gunslinger, once I hit the lategame does it matter if I invest in Keen Blunt / Grudge vs Keen Blunt / Cursed Doll or Grudge / Cursed Doll etc.. ? I guess it's only a question of what my alts will be right and maybe market prices.
Right now they are crazy due to the lack of tier 3 players. Once tier 3 is a norm and minimum standing point, legendary books will plummet. It's a supply and demand issue, lack of supply. Need more t3 to increase it, which will naturally assist in devaluing legendary book cost.

Tbh bro, I really reccomend you to switch red gunlancer. At higher gear lv, red gunlancer is much more powerful and useful for party. (At 1415, blue gunlancer might be slightly more powerful and much more cheaper to set build tho)
As always, fantastic video, on the side, i've never seen someone talk about NEGATIVE engravings, is it worth having like a 2 3's with some lvl 1 negatives? if so, which ones are the "best" to have or those you dont really care about, like 2% less MS/AS doesnt seem like a lot compared to the chance of having one more lvl 3 engraving, what are your thoughts on that?
It may differ class to class but I believe the def reduction is the "best" to get since most damage is dodgeable. Remember ms helps you avoid damage completely but attack speed and power are defs the ones to avoid at all cost
Im a type of person hates negative engraving in general because it looks bad. Heavy armor bard can have something like defense penalty, or attack penalty, but dps class should abvoid penaltys at all cost

The rate at which Legendary books enter the economy is faster than the rate at which they are being consumed. This results in a higher supply than demand for the books, which drives them down in price. For example, a few weeks ago Legendary Mayhem, one of the most popular books was around 45k gold on NA East, now it's around 22k~ gold.
Uhh the event going on right now gives you 4 legendary class books and 4 legendary general books per week so if the event lasts 5 weeks thats a free purple class engraving and a free purple general engraving of your choice.

3x3x3x3 is 60 stones fasceting a 6x6 2x9 stone books +3x3x5= 30+30=60 this is expensive as fuck mind you because the jewelry will have mandatory main engraving and a really good engraving and you will need all 5 of the jewels and all of them to be on your most important stat surge grudge was my cheapest options for db at around 20k gold for all 5 jewels but since i only needed +5 surge instead of +15 i brought down my cost to around 8k gold including the stone and i ended up with 3x3x3x1x1 super charge/ambush master/grudgex3 surgex1 crisis evasionx1 as it's the highest value lowest cost defensive engraving you can buy if you so wish to get one if i had the money instead i would have gone 3x3x3x2x1 supercharge/ambushmaster/grudgex3 adrenalinx2 surgex1 with the changes to db from this patch it would be wise to go for surgex3 instead of keeping it at x1 and since i'm tilted from how surge works in general i'm switching to RE on 1415 with 3x3x3x3 RE/ambush master/Super charge/Grudge i might consider adrenalin over grudge depending on cost but as of now grudge is cheaper by a lot
Can definitely bounce back, at least preemptive strike is not useless. It’s really nice for alts running chaos dungeons. Keep grinding, can get lots of gold from maps, selling mats and the current grand prix events you can sell stuff for gold from it!
I am kinda stuck right now. I am running Grudge/Hit/Death Strike (class) for my engravings but if I take the advice of the video, and run x16 death strike, I can't affort hit/grudge accs way too expensive, and if I end up running x9Grudge x9 Death strike,, finding Deathstrike on accs to fill the gap is very difficult

Relic accessories and stone from 1415. Legendary Legion Commander gear set from 1445, Relic Legion Commander set from 1445. With Valtan coming fairly soon, 1415 is the point where you begin to make long-term commitment to your gear/accessories/ability stone/engraving. You can afford to make some mistake until that point because you will practically be re-setting accessory/stone composition at that point.
If you want to end up with 5 lvl 3 engravings you'd need a total of 5 x 15 = 75 nodes. Your relic accessories can give a max of 5 + 3 each, so across 5 accessories that's 5 x 8 = 40 nodes. So you then need another 35 points from somewhere. If you only had purple engraving books, that's 2 x 9 = 18 points, meaning you'd need another 17 points from your ability stone to reach your target which is insanely unlikely to happen. So by having one or two legendary engraving books you can get away with having a less optimized ability stone as well as perhaps not needing 5/3 accessories across the board, you could maybe end up dropping to a 4/3 or even 5 + some random trash engraving and still end up hitting your 75 points when you have some margin of error to work with thanks to the legendary books. Also remember engraving books are roster-wide permanent investments so if you have multiple characters using the same engravings then it's an investment for both/all of them

No you still need to build your way up to legendary. Technically you are correct legendary gives your 12 points but to use it you will need to finish the uncommon, rare, and epic first
since 1370 content drops acc with class engravings most of the time, do i need to equip class engravings? i could equip like grudge and cursed doll at 9 and 2 acc with class and grudge and another for 2 class and cursed doll. and for the last acc with the class engraving and the ability stone u can get another level 2 engraving like adrenaline
@@osik9000 Wealth only effects the % of the raw energy gain. Most of the energy you are getting from Shout of Hatred is from Tripods so that's why it feels like it's not doing much of anything.
You can take a breath in between to give the new players a chance to understand what you are saying. A total extra 30s in the video wouldn't kill anyone.
The reality is that a whale can get 20 leg book within a day by swiping and f2p probably has to work for weeks or months potentially. Just sucks but part of the game i guess.
Im f2p at 1365, i agreed its hard, but not Impossible. I focused way too much on alts, else id easily be 1370 by now Edit: i Started 1week after official Release btw Oh and my honingchance is slightly Below average.

3+ means that you have an engraving that's maxed. So basically seeing a raid group that says 3333+ for example means that they need you to have 4 maxed out engravings.

Adrenaline is like s tier at t1 t2. Its so cheap and useful.

Its cheap if you sacrifice grudge and a bit of combat stats. Otherwise it'll run you around 20k+ gold to get perfect 4 lvl3s

As always, fantastic video, on the side, i've never seen someone talk about NEGATIVE engravings, is it worth having like a 2 3's with some lvl 1 negatives? if so, which ones are the "best" to have or those you dont really care about, like 2% less MS/AS doesnt seem like a lot compared to the chance of having one more lvl 3 engraving, what are your thoughts on that?
It may differ class to class but I believe the def reduction is the "best" to get since most damage is dodgeable. Remember ms helps you avoid damage completely but attack speed and power are defs the ones to avoid at all cost
Im a type of person hates negative engraving in general because it looks bad. Heavy armor bard can have something like defense penalty, or attack penalty, but dps class should abvoid penaltys at all cost

I have a question, was there ever an event/content hat gave legendary engraving Books or something that crashed the prices on these books? Or do I really have to drop 60k gold at some point for these books?
The rate at which Legendary books enter the economy is faster than the rate at which they are being consumed. This results in a higher supply than demand for the books, which drives them down in price. For example, a few weeks ago Legendary Mayhem, one of the most popular books was around 45k gold on NA East, now it's around 22k~ gold.

Uhh the event going on right now gives you 4 legendary class books and 4 legendary general books per week so if the event lasts 5 weeks thats a free purple class engraving and a free purple general engraving of your choice.
Purple is not legendary tho. Its only epic giving 9 not 12 nodes

fasceting a 6x6 2x9 stone books +3x3x5= 30+30=60
this is expensive as fuck mind you because the jewelry will have mandatory main engraving and a really good engraving and you will need all 5 of the jewels and all of them to be on your most important stat
surge grudge was my cheapest options for db at around 20k gold for all 5 jewels but since i only needed +5 surge instead of +15 i brought down my cost to around 8k gold including the stone and i ended up with 3x3x3x1x1 super charge/ambush master/grudgex3 surgex1 crisis evasionx1 as it's the highest value lowest cost defensive engraving you can buy if you so wish to get one
if i had the money instead i would have gone 3x3x3x2x1 supercharge/ambushmaster/grudgex3 adrenalinx2 surgex1
with the changes to db from this patch it would be wise to go for surgex3 instead of keeping it at x1
and since i'm tilted from how surge works in general i'm switching to RE on 1415 with 3x3x3x3

Can definitely bounce back, at least preemptive strike is not useless. It’s really nice for alts running chaos dungeons. Keep grinding, can get lots of gold from maps, selling mats and the current grand prix events you can sell stuff for gold from it!

I am running Grudge/Hit/Death Strike (class) for my engravings but if I take the advice of the video, and run x16 death strike, I can't affort hit/grudge accs way too expensive, and if I end up running x9Grudge x9 Death strike,, finding Deathstrike on accs to fill the gap is very difficult

Relic accessories and stone from 1415. Legendary Legion Commander gear set from 1445, Relic Legion Commander set from 1445.
With Valtan coming fairly soon, 1415 is the point where you begin to make long-term commitment to your gear/accessories/ability stone/engraving. You can afford to make some mistake until that point because you will practically be re-setting accessory/stone composition at that point.

How much is Legendary engraving book in RU and KR ?
Why do you need a legendary book? Can't you buy green blue then epic books?
If you want to end up with 5 lvl 3 engravings you'd need a total of 5 x 15 = 75 nodes. Your relic accessories can give a max of 5 + 3 each, so across 5 accessories that's 5 x 8 = 40 nodes. So you then need another 35 points from somewhere. If you only had purple engraving books, that's 2 x 9 = 18 points, meaning you'd need another 17 points from your ability stone to reach your target which is insanely unlikely to happen. So by having one or two legendary engraving books you can get away with having a less optimized ability stone as well as perhaps not needing 5/3 accessories across the board, you could maybe end up dropping to a 4/3 or even 5 + some random trash engraving and still end up hitting your 75 points when you have some margin of error to work with thanks to the legendary books. Also remember engraving books are roster-wide permanent investments so if you have multiple characters using the same engravings then it's an investment for both/all of them

No you still need to build your way up to legendary. Technically you are correct legendary gives your 12 points but to use it you will need to finish the uncommon, rare, and epic first

since 1370 content drops acc with class engravings most of the time, do i need to equip class engravings? i could equip like grudge and cursed doll at 9 and 2 acc with class and grudge and another for 2 class and cursed doll. and for the last acc with the class engraving and the ability stone u can get another level 2 engraving like adrenaline

Gunlancers dont use wealth runes, high spec impacts the sheild gain

@@osik9000 Wealth only effects the % of the raw energy gain. Most of the energy you are getting from Shout of Hatred is from Tripods so that's why it feels like it's not doing much of anything.

The reality is that a whale can get 20 leg book within a day by swiping and f2p probably has to work for weeks or months potentially. Just sucks but part of the game i guess.

3+ means that you have an engraving that's maxed.
So basically seeing a raid group that says 3333+ for example means that they need you to have 4 maxed out engravings.
