bbcseriesfan In a movie like that the actors are really hostage to the directors. In all the super hero movies actors feel ridiculous and they have to trust the director to make sure it's good. It never seems so while making it.
+thanksfernuthin Your 1000% correct and I wouldn't trust Schumacher to direct a bowel movement let alone a big budget super hero flick... the absolute worst director next to that ass clown Columbus who ruined the total feel of the Harry Potter franchise when he made magic seem like it was boring.

I could probably be the only one but when I was a kid, Batman & Robin was the very first movie that I watched in a movie theater as well as my first live action superhero film and I loved every second of it. Even to this day whenever I watch it again, it makes me nostalgic. Also, I feel like what we are getting nowadays from superhero movies and TV shows in general, Batman & Robin is pure gold compared to them. So thank you George Clooney for your work even though you might not realize it yourself

Batman & Robin wouldn't have been as bad if there hadn't been the better ones before… of course, Batman is my favorite Batman movie (yes, just "Batman". Tim Burton's version of 1989, never surpassed).

I love Graham. He's the best talk/chat show host I've ever seen. But...he shouldn't have cut into Hugh's touching thoughts on Comic-Con to bring up it being part of George's honeymoon so quickly. What Hugh said about Comic-Con was so sweet and genuine that whether he was finished or not, we should have been allowed time to appreciate it and not just moved on to something else. Might seem like I'm being nit-picky but I was simply deeply moved by what Hugh said.
As was everyone here in the comments (so moved). And I sense George was surprised by the brief mood shift Hugh brought about. A missed opportunity for Graham.

Clooneys Batman was awesome. It was a huge part of my childhood. Why it gets so much hate, makes zero sense.

There's a bit of hypocrisy going on here. While I would never presume it's my place to tell Clooney what to think about the movies he chose to be in, history has shown that taking the Batman role elevated his name recognition in the industry as well as financially affording him the opportunity to be particular with the roles he wanted to do. Constantly lambasting this project seems to be catering to that small herd of angry nerds who didn't like it. He should try being his own person and not "apologize" since I doubt he truly cares one way or the other. Bottomline: His financial haul from taking this role gave him freedom to do other things he wanted to do and whether it was the critical and commercial hit his artistic ego would like to savor, it didn't hurt his image or financial standing in the least.
