@@juliamoney8104 It’s her eyebrows in the “I Don’t Like Your Girlfriend,” video that were the tip off for me. Even all those years ago I can remember thinking there was something off about the colour of ‘Avril’s’ eyebrows. Like even if she had coloured them they wouldn’t have turned out quite that shade or some such thought as the video did its rounds on Much Music. I can remember wondering if that was really her. I had no idea of anything that might have happened at the time - though I can remember thinking that might not really be Avril in that video.

It all started because she changed her style, her genre, everything. Other artists reinvent themselves all the time but she went from rock chick to pink pop princess overnight. Her producers must have thought she'd appeal to a larger audience as the emo, skater and goth subcultures were in decline. But her recent music is very much like her first album. I never believed Avril had been replaced but I do think she was forced to change her style.
I think it was her decision. Maybe Jojo also deserves a rumour like this then. :P
Avril did look like she hasn’t aged. But recently I think her age is catching up with her. It’s not negative. Just an observation.

That person in this video is in all probability not the original Avril Lavigne who appeared in the South Korean concert in 2002 and not Melissa Vandela. There is a strong chance this person is someone else.
