    Thank you so much for posting this!!! You are the only reason I was able to figure out how to change the part on my Dyson V11 with the copy I bought on Amazon. I posted the link to this on my review on amazon. You did a great job explaining how including which screw goes back where and show the up close with good lighting. Boo to Dyson for making this flimsy design that broke after a couple years with fairly minimal use. But amazing job and Three cheers for you for showing how to fix it!

      Hi mate, any chance of the link to the part you bought to repair it? I'm struggling to find it on Amazon or eBay I can only find the wheels separate. Thanks

      Amazon has it. Just got it and watched the video and fixed it. Great video. What a pain in the butt this is though. Dyson is a joke.

    Is it common for the V wheel to break and fall off??

      @TheVacuumDoc I'm currently waiting for my 3rd replacement vacuum head over 2 years. Because the wheels keep braking.

    How hard should you tighten the screws for the wheels? 😅

    • @TheVacuumDoc
      @TheVacuumDoc  Місяць тому +1

      Until the screws stop turning . Don’t over tighten it as they’re plastic

      @@TheVacuumDoc should the middle/outer ring piece of the wheels be able to spin or should it be screwed in til it’s stiff?

    This is such a ridiculous quality fault with an otherwise wonderful machine. I had the head replaced twice by warranty but had to pay for the third one. If you keep replacing it, it busts every year in fairly infrequent normal use. Customer support always says that they’ve never heard about this issue before. And Dyson has no intention to fix the flimsy part.

    • @TheVacuumDoc

      This is definitely a common issue . I think it’s the most common fault today for all Dysons above V11.

      Exactly the same story here. Our second one has broken with about 2 months left on the warranty (thankfully). I could be wrong, but I think ours failed from getting tangled with hair which eventually got caught, causing the little shoulder that the bearing sits on to shear off. I'm going to try taking the wheels off about once a month or so and removing any hair to prevent this happening again. If that doesn't work, I did manage to find a non-genuince replacement part on Amazon (just the plastic bit that fails, not the entire head).
